Here’s some Dylan for your dash.
A dash of Dylan is always good!
Yes, the Ever-lasting contrast. Since existence has known, the 'fight' between good & evil has continued. Obviously, this fight can never end. Good things turn bad, bad things become good. My fav. contrasting symbol, because it is so true & means so much – the battle between good & bad never ends… Here we ponder on the tragedy of Dylan Klebold.

I’ve always wondered about these words that Dylan wrote. I’m guessing it says “heavy light black white wrong write”. Perhaps they are the lyrics to the song Cumbersome by Seven Mary Three? “Too heavy, too light, too black or too white, too wrong or too right, today or tonight, cumbersome…” Since the song was popular in 1996 and reached #1 on the mainstream billboard, I’d say it’s very likely that Dylan had heard this song.
That’s a good possibility! Originally, I assumed Dylan was just dabbling in dichotomy – however, the first word can’t be left as in left & right. Heavy could be the first word. Though, he does write write instead of right. Still… good speculation.
The lyrics do sound like they would appeal to Dylan in regards to himself and “the stone wall” blocking him from his dream girl.
Cumbersome – by American Standard
She calls me Goliath and I wear the David mask
I guess the stones are coming too fast for her now
You know I’d like to believe this nervousness will pass
All the stones that are thrown are building up a wall
I have become cumbersome to this world
I have become cumbersome to my girl
I’d like to believe we could reconcile the past
Resurrect those bridges with an ancient glance
But my old stone face can’t seem to break her down
She remembers bridges, burns them to the ground
I have become cumbersome to this world
I have become cumbersome to my girl
Too heavy too light, too black or too white, too wrong or too right
Today or tonight, cumbersome
Too rich too poor, she’s wanting me less and I’m wanting her more
The bitter taste is cumbersome
No yeah
No no no yeah
No no no yeah
There is a balance between two worlds
One with an arrow and a cross
Regardless of the balance life has become
Cumbersome
It’s a myth that Dylan spelled it VoDKa. All of his writings in which he is referencing his nick, Dylan always spells it VoDkA. It’s the standard ‘80/90s ~cool~ hacker parody of alternating caps with lower case letters with everything. Dylan pokes fun of this overused affectation with the AoLeet hAcKoRs t-shirt he created. While it may or may not have occurred to him that his own initials were in the middle of his favorite alcoholic beverage, he never did bother to spell it that way. Instead, someone on Tumblr (and likely somewhere else too) connected the dots with the “DK” and simply assumed that he spelled his nickname that way. I’ll add, that I think it’s even MORE kool if he actually did capitalize both the ‘DK’ to make it uniquely his own nick. 😉

Mm.

Another one of his favorite bands was the Chemical Brothers. And at one point, Dylan talked with Devon Adams about going to one of their upcoming concerts. But Devon notes, “He obviously never ended up going to it because it came in summer of 1999.”
This would have been the concert they would’ve gone to together at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in 1999
Very Sad..

“DK went out with Kristen ?”

Kristen today?

Boy, don’t we know it…

Would love to have known the conversations between Nate and Dylan about Robyn. also, I’m guessing it’s Kristen Theibault

Why not?

Bike Wash Commercial, I like how Dylan just walks by and hit’s it.
Dylan’s pissed because Eric told him to shut up, where to stand, what to do, yadda yadda. Meanwhile, Eric’s walking over to makeup. 😉
I wonder why only this snippet was released to the public with no sound.
Gun
I’m gonna spit a hell of a lot of buckshot out of my barrel into this pansy’s face. – REB / Indigo
I am a Gun
A wildey 45 semiautomatic. I am a god. I kill people. I was never made for hunting, just to kill humans. When someone needs to die, I kill them. There was this bald guy once, He was gay & arrogant & superficial & had a false sense of power. I blew off his head with one shot. I am god. he died. – VoDkA / Green
E & D’s creative writing class exercises are always an interesting comparison. The differences in expression and personality really come across. Eric is blunt and to the point; Dylan paints a comical picture.
Dylan wore that necklace ever since he was a kid. I only wish I had information on his beaded cloth necklace! It’s one of those intriguing idiosyncrasies about him – one of the many questions I would love to ask Sue Klebold. 😉

Some people have been wondering about the meaning behind Dylan Klebold’s ring. It’s not known for sure the real meaning behind him wearing it ( if there even is one) but here are some facts I’ve found out about black rings that seem interesting enough to mention and could explain why he wore it.
According to gemstone historians, Roman warriors carried onyx carvings of gods into battle. The ancients believed black onyx had the power to protect them from both outside threats and internal conflicts and emotions that could cause them harm or lead them astray. Today, black onyx still carries a suggestion of self-control and strength. Some people believe that a black ring means they are sexual deviants.
Onyx Gemstone meaning
Onyx is known to separate. It can help release negative emotions such as sorrow and grief. It is used to end unhappy or bothersome relationships.

Onyx guards against negativity
Onyx jewelry is worn to defend against negativity that is directed at you. Black stones have protective energies in the sense that black is the absence of light, and therefore, can be used to create invisibility.

Meaning of Rings on Fingers:
Middle Finger
Wearing a ring on the middle finger of the yin hand represents the ability to tell the difference between right and wrong and having the authority to determine what is right and wrong. Wearing the ring on the middle finger of the yang hand indicates the tendency to look to others to provide guidance about what is right and wrong and what is legal.
Ring Finger
Wearing a ring on the ring finger of your yin hand indicates that you are creative and can use your creativity to solve problems and challenges. Wearing it on the yang hand’s ring finger indicates that you are able to teach others how to be creative and bring out their best creative abilities.
Pinky
Wearing a ring on the pinky of your yin hand indicates that you are a strong communicator and you can use your communications skills to get what you want from others and lead them to do as you ask. Wearing it on the yang hand’s pinky indicates the ability to be led very easily and to understand what others are trying to communicate.
Thumb
Wearing a ring on the thumb of your yin hand indicates that you are very assertive and impose your own will on others, sometimes using force. Wearing a ring on the thumb of your yang hand shows the ability to submit to others’ wills.
My Zodiac sign. Perf. 😉

Maybe this was Dylan’s favorite food as he made a note of it— Crevettes et Oeufs translates to shrimp and egg…
Addressing anons too.. 😉
Crevettes (Shrimp) Etouffe (Smothered) is a cajun dish

Revolving Ring
A bit of a repost from weeks ago.. It seems that Dylan occasionally switched from the usual left hand ring finger (credit to xxunnaturalselectionxx) to the index finger (of which I tend to confuse the titles of these two fingers ad nauseum.) In the photo where Dylan is snapping his fingers and whistling, he does have the ring on his index finger – and – it also looks like he has the ring on his pinky when snapping a photo at prom. But yes, I agree, that he probably wore it on his ring finger more often than not.
subcultureofthenight suggested that Dylan’s switching from ring finger to index finger may have been a result of his substantial weight loss over the course of the year. It’s an interesting observation. Until this was pointed out, I simply assumed Dylan permanently wore The Ring only on his ring finger. While researching and observing at bit more closely, I realized that he did rotate the ring at times. Poor Dylan. The God of Sadness broke his pricey sunglasses and spent the day in a funk. Hopefully, he didn’t come close to losing his beautiful ebony ring as well – all because it was becoming too loose on his spindly fingers. 😦
