Howard Center Presentation

Episode 016 – SEPTEMBER 26, 2018 – Burlington, VA

Sue Klebold is the mother of Dylan Klebold, one of the two gunmen responsible for the Columbine High School shootings of April 20, 1999 in Littleton, Colorado. Dylan and his friend killed twelve students and a teacher, and wounded more than twenty others before taking their own lives.

Klebold’s talk was followed by a Q & A and a panel discussion with Colchester School District Superintendent Amy Minor, South Burlington Police Chief Trevor Whipple, Howard Center Board of Trustees member Kelly DeForge, and Director of Howard Center’s Baird School and INCLUSION Program Kristie Reed. The discussion will be moderated by Charlotte McCorkel, Howard Center Director of Project Integration. [Source]

  1. I wonder how the Klebolds are with this pandemic. They are in their 70s now.
I wish Sue would come to my city in Canada doing this presentation once this pandemic is over.

    1. I’m sure they are diligently following social distancing guidelines and sheltering in place. Sue has done one virtual zoom event at the beginning of this month. Stay tuned..as she may do more. 🙂

  2. In what way was Byron treated “badly” precisely? As I mentioned in your other comment, Byron was not kicked out of the house. It was mutually agreed upon (via himself and his parents) that he start living on his own. Undoubtedly, Dylan’s one and only sibling leaving the home voluntarily surely must have felt like abandonment, regardless of the circumstances Byron started to become independent from his parents. As for the people attending Sue’s presentations, quite a few ask very good questions. You really have to attend, or listen to the videos of these presentations, to make that determination, rather than making blanket assumptions as Randy appears to be doing here.
