Yes, the Ever-lasting contrast. Since existence has known, the 'fight' between good & evil has continued. Obviously, this fight can never end. Good things turn bad, bad things become good. My fav. contrasting symbol, because it is so true & means so much – the battle between good & bad never ends… Here we ponder on the tragedy of Dylan Klebold.
After prom was the casual party held at Columbineās gymnasium. Some that attended the formal prom in downtown Denver would change out of their formal wear and head to the After Prom in regular clothes. Dylan and Robyn changed at a friend’s house and headed over to the school while Eric just crashed the After Prom dressed in regular cloths. No stuffy formal wear for the Reb. The after prom consisted of socializing, dancing and gambling at casino tables they had set up in the gym to the theme of āNew York, New Yorkā. I recall that they had a maze getting into the gym sort of like they have at Halloween haunted houses. Itās just a casual, social after party held at the school that some American high schools still have. Other schools hold the party much later on after the prom while others don’t have it at all. It really all depends on the schoolās tradition.
āFood for Thoughtā –Ā something that warrants serious consideration.
Giving up and not caring about this life anymore.
While writing he reflected and concluded:
ā ..sit in here thinking of suicide gives me hope, that iāll be in my place wherever I go after this life. that ill finally not be at war w. myself, the world, the universe – my mind, body, everywhere, everything at PEACE⦠me- my soul (existence)..ā
In the backdrop, the constant mantra-like refrain of Piggy repeats:
Nothing can stop me now āCause I donāt care anymore Nothing can stop me nowĀ āCause I just donāt care Nothing can stop me now āCause I donāt care anymore Nothing can stop me now āCause I just donāt careā¦ā¦ā¦..
The song put him in that zone which easily led himĀ in that dark space his mind wandered off to.Ā
Mm..I think most of it has already been released but there are sometimes little things that are brought to light.Ā You just never know.. So, Iād say a combination of all of the above. šĀ
Iām sure a combination of shock, disgust, anger, and fury, as well as a goodly amount of mockery for what cowardly sick losers they were.Ā Plus a goodly measure ofĀ āwhere were their parents?ā condemnation.
Itās cool but Iām not a serious fan or anything like that.Ā I think of it fondly like all of the other shows that define that 90s decade like Xena and X-Files. šĀ
The tapes were declared officially destroyed by Jeffco in 2011 and the release of the depositions is slated for 2027. See here.Ā If youāre curious about the tapes, please do an E-C Search onĀ āBasement Tapesā to catch yourself up. šĀ
Well, I doubt heād dislike being on the receiving end of a hug.Ā I think heād be shy and tentative about it at first but heād definitely benefit in an emotionally therapeuticĀ way from regular hugs. (and heād be a good, demonstrative hugger too once he got comfortable. š ) I spoke a bit about this before regarding his starving for simple physical touch and connection as evinced in his journal.Ā
He couldāve but the question is would he have wanted to stop Eric? Did he care enough to?
Iām pretty sure they knew of each other. The whole crush rumor. But also they were in the same school since Ken Caryl, drama club, that one class (that we know of) together, just based off proximity thereās a pretty good chance. Supposedly Rachel was on his list of crushes or whatever in his journal. Just nothing is proven.
But to answer your question, Rachel was shot pretty far away at first. Dylan most likely didnāt even see her until he walked past her. That still wouldnāt have changed anything. They were on that rush.Ā Ā
If Dylan told Eric not to shoot her so prematurely into the attack, it might have made Eric question the seriousness of Dylanās role. Just picture that, Dylan telling Eric not to shoot some girl. When they planned this, they knew theyād be killing innocents, people they knew were good, friends. They didnāt care. Thatās why the thought of Dylan letting some go is so strange. What made him change his mind?
Dylan did let people go in the library because he had that connection with them, face to face. Some people he let go had rumors of being connected in the TCM.Ā Ā
It would be interesting to think if Dylan really did like her, then see her dead as he entered the school. Would he have reconsidered?
Rachelās mother thinks Dylan was angry because Rachel didnāt reciprocate anything. So she thinks she was on the hitlist because of the unrequited nature of Dylanās love as well as her religion.Ā But by now I think weāve all read his journals. We know that mushy side Dylan had. He really wanted love. Iām not trying to make this into some spin off love shit, but it makes you think.Ā
How far off the edge do you think Dylan wouldāve had to have gone to shoot his āloveā? From a psychological perspective and questioning. If he really loved Rachel, how would he have reacted to seeing her dead? Would he not have cared or would it have changed his mindset? If he didnāt, it shows how far gone he was.
I think if he hypothetically liked/loved her and saw her dead by the SW doors, rather than reconsider, it would have just spurned him on to be that much more exhilarated during NBK (as he was)Ā because he knew soon heād be following her.
I donāt know where Rachelās mom get these elaborate ideas that Dylan was angry with Rachel for not reciprocating.Ā And Rachel wasnāt even on his hit list.
Because he preferred the clean cut military aesthetic. Besides I shudder to think what heād look like with long hair. š¬Not the dudeās style at all.

Wait⦠you donāt think this looks godlike?
*nearly does a spit take* šš¤£š blonde mullet, aye? Lol gotta love it. 80s metal Reb

No, Dylan was just simply happy to have fleeting moments during 5th period where heād get to lay eyes on her in the halls. If she looked his way, that wouldāve pretty much have made his day. I donāt think he saw himself as any sort viable competition but then I doubt she had droves of guys hanging around her anyway as she was introverted like himself.
Yes, as I far as know, they went with him every time. There were a few occasions Eric went along without Dylan. Dylan probably had to work or something.
Well, it makes sense that he would be given what just happened in Vegas. I cut him slack that every time one of these shootings happen, especially one that took so many lives recently, and in a very public way (with video clips everywhere of the automatic weapon going off repeatedly at the crowd), that he would be triggered and need to express himself a bit about it. Of course, heās going to join in to express his opinion on the usual gun debate that always occurs after one of these. Of course, heās going to mention the focus should be on the victims and not the perpetrator.. perfectly normal and respectable statements. Itās not like heās directly referencing Columbine. Itās his twitter so he can talk a bit about the Vegas shooting to process through it. I take no issues with it. My problem is when he actively seeks out the attention about himself and his own tragedy and uses other mediums to do so.
