What was Dylan’s favorite store to shop at in the mall? And did they have Hot Topic in the 90s?

Probably the music store (which might’ve been a Tower Records). He also probably liked to peruse the movie store, and yes, Hot Topic (which Eric had a love/hate relationship with because it was mainstream’s idea of ‘edgy’) and at a certain point All Wound Up for reasons given in the link.. and oh, yeah, the food court. Duh. lol

Did E&D like any comic books, what was their favorite superhero or villain or fav comic book in general?

Not that I’m aware of, no. Two Batman movies released in the nineties and the last one was very bubble gum cartoonish and not very dark. There wasn’t a whole lot Comic /Super Hero revival going on then such as there is now. Eric was into GI Joe as a kid growing up in the 80s. Eric had the old school plastic GI Joe figurines which he mentioned he had a fondness for in the Basement Tapes. For these two, it was all about video games and in particular, the DOOM lore from the book series in addition to being huge fans of the video game. You could say that that was their comics. However, that is not to say that they weren’t into comics or super hero stuff at some time or another as kids or perhaps as teens. We just do not have any hint regarding them ever having an interest.

If I had to wager a guess, I think they would’ve loved Nolan’s The Dark Knight series and most especially Ledger’s Joker.

Hi there!! How are you doing? I have sort of an odd question. Hypothetically, if one were to write a Dylan fanfic, would you be willing under any circumstance to give it a once-over and pass/fail it for accuracy in capturing his personality? Hiya.  It’s not an ‘odd question’ at all.  Mm. I’d certainly would be open to taking a look at the fic..  If said person is open about the concrit and won’t take it personally.   I have done this before for someone who wrote Dylan fic for the @killerfanfiction.  No problemo 🙂 

Wanted to say just two things. 1: your blog has given me a different view on Dylan, in the positive sense. 2: I love your clever replies to those butthurt trolls that try to get a rise out of you.
