Does Randy have access to information that the rest of us do not? I ask because you mentioned that he might tell us if D had a crush on Rachel. It seems that he was very private with his feeling regarding his crushes. I’m not sure he would have spoken with Brooks about that. I asked this question before, if you chose not to answer it I apologize for the redundancy, I know you get a ton of questions.

Rachel’s mom, Beth Nimmo, claimed that she and Randy’s wife, Judy, once corroborated to her that Dylan had a crush on Rachel (see Q. Didn’t Dylan have a crush on Rachel?)   Randy would be able to verify with his wife whether this discussion between Beth and Judy did, in fact, take place and if true, why Judy claims to believe in the crush.

Is it true they once burned Dylan’s hair?

No, some other student that attended CHS experienced that abuse:

“When Tom went to pick up Dylan’s car from the police station a few weeks after the event, one of the officers said to him, “My son came home from that school one day and they’d set his hair on fire right in the hall— his whole scalp was burned. I wanted to take that school apart brick by brick, but he said it would only make it worse.”

Is it true that eric punched a hole into his bedroom wall ?

Diversion File Intake Questions:

[EH Diversion p. 3] he reported letting his anger build up and punching walls

[EH Diversion p. 24] EH reported he had a “short temper; often get angry at almost anything I don’t like”

[EH Diversion p. 39] punched walls four times a month

Eric began taking Zoloft for depression about 6 weeks ago [Feb. 21 1998]. He said that he is feeling better now that he is on medication. Eric said that he has problems with anxiety and allows his anger to build up until he explodes. Eric says when he gets really mad he punches walls. He is seeing a therapist once or twice a month. The family also meets with him on occasion. Eric said that he has thought about suicide a couple of times, but never seriously, mostly out of anger.

Parents version:
[EH Diversion p. 17] parents noted outbursts including punching things (at work and school, but not at home)

Problems Your Child Had or Is Currently Having: Anger, Depression, Suicidal Thoughts • After this incident occurred, Eric expressed his feelings concerning the above items to a psychologist. The doctor recommended antidepressant medication which seems to have helped. His mood is more upbeat. Eric seems to suppress his anger, then “blow up” and hit something or verbally lash out. He hasn’t done this at home but has done it at school and work.

Eric punched walls very often when he was angry. He was taken to the hospital freshman year for punching a brick wall and thought he broke his hand. So, it is unknown of how long he had been punching walls in a way to express his anger, but it had been at least four years.

As a military recruiter, he had access to a list of local high school students. That’s how he called Eric Harris on Friday, April 2, 1999, eighteen days before
Columbine. They had a twenty-minute phone interview as Gonzales did a
pre-screening. He asked about medical background, divorce, mental
health, counseling, prescription drug use, along with height, weight, and
any use of glasses. Eric said he had had a broken nose and broken wrist
when he was younger;
Gonzales didn’t recall how they happened.

I am kinda new here and I don’t understand why Dylan would kill someone if he was depressed. It doesn’t make sense.

ungodlike-columbine:

In any case, people
who suffer from depression as long as Dylan did are very likely to
kill. Take into consideration that Dylan had been feeling lonely
since 7th
grade, which could have been the origin/beginning of his depression.

One of the factors
that caused his depression was dehumanization. Dylan was being
dehumanized very often in school; people bullied him, they
automatically rejected him, and made him develop a sense of
inferiority. Therefore, Dylan also began to dehumanize others. This
is quite evident in his journal, when he calls “normal” people
“zombies”. For him, zombies were basically people without
self-awareness and who only cared about keeping up appearances and
being popular (however, even though these people are unbearable, that
does not mean that they deserve to die).  Once dehumanization becomes
very frequent, the affected person has fewer problems killing
someone, because in their opinion, they are not exactly humans.

In addition, Dylan
was also very affected by anger and wrath, which were the result of
his depression. When Dylan was not depressed about his situation, he
was very, very angry. As any INFP would do, Dylan bottled up his
wrath and anger and only let it leak out at certain
moments
. If Dylan had spoken more about
his feelings, he would have been able to find some help to his
problems.

Therefore, because
of his depression, subsequent dehumanization towards himself and
others, and all the anger that he was feeling, Dylan felt that
killing others and killing himself was the only other, easy way out.

Very well reasoned. Very true about INFP too!

So Rocky and the other jocks are assholes, yet in the end…THEY DIDNT SHOOT AND MURDER INNOCENT KIDS. Who are the real assholes in this tragedy? 🤔

Who you ask?  The narcissistic, rule-flouting assholes that dominated the school for years and psychologically murdered and damaged a great many innocent kids by bullying and harassing them and right in plain sight of the teachers. What they did is criminal in its own special fucked up way.  None of these fuckers ever even reflected and owned up to the fact that much of the shit they pulled created a toxic climate in the school that escalated the birthing of this tragedy.

Ultimately, the assholes had a hand in creating victims, yes, but also those other ‘assholes’ that wanted to blow up their entire school.

I’ll be damned if I’m going to spend any more time devoting a whole post to showcasing photos of Rocky and the rest of the thug jocks. My stance is that they are undeserving of any kind of gratuitous attention, especially on a blog about an individual who had an intense disliking on them for reasons stated above.

marthaaaaaaas:

I think I fell in love with this gif

I love how the wind is whipping around his full-length black leather coat and how cautious and respectful he always is while trying out the shotguns knowing all too well how much kick back there’s gonna be.  You can see the way his feet are wide apart as he’s contemplating the shot. Such a contrast compared to how trigger happy quick Eric is. Two vastly different boys; complimenting opposites.

Have you ever heard of a tv series called “A twist of fate”and a short film called “Loss of innocence”? Apparently there is a episode in “A twist of fate” about columbine. The episode is called “At close range”. “Loss of innocence” is apparently a short film made about Dylan. I searched everywhere, but couldn’t find a place to watch it. Do you happen to know what I’m talking about?

I’ve never heard of this one before.  I found the episode title but haven’t had any luck yet locating the episode. Twisted Fate: S1, Episode 4 “At Close Range”
Curious how did you hear about this show/episode?
