So, I’m pretty sure when E&D got bullied it was around some friends did NONE of their friends help them?

Well, we know Chris Morris did.  But he got tired of Eric expecting him to bail him out every time Eric got himself into a pickle.   Other than that, we don’t have enough information from their friends in the 11K in order to say one way or another.  I certainly don’t think their own friends looked the other way though when they were getting ripped on.

Were anyone in the TCM gay? Why would people in the school think they were ?

Mr. Frank DeAngelis (CHS principal) [5,673] : heard that Eric Dutro and Joe Stair used to provoke jocks by dancing in front of them, grabbing each others’ butts/groin and kissing

Kelly Beer [6,107]:  Joe Stair and Eric Dutro kissed in front of whole cafeteria; Dutro got in people’s faces saying “Satan loves you;” made death threats to students; Kelly received death threats on the telephone

Kristi Mohrbacher [1,011] : Joe Stair and Eric Dutro used to grab each other; say “Satan loves you”

These are the original TCM dudes, when the group was actually a thing in ‘97-98, pulling these shenanigans to get a rise out of their conservative, Christian school and to piss off and revolt the homophobic jocks.

Just want to clarify here too that these dudes weren’t gay. They were doing perceived “gay’ sorts of things to freak out people for the fun of it.. 😉   TCM dudes weren’t about to physically kick the jocks asses because they were scrawny so this is how they retaliated to make them stay away.

I just read your latest answer on Eric’s religion. I have a certain interest in the religious aspects of Columbine (the bullying Christians, the “godlike” journal entries…). I’m sorry to ask such a stupid question but may I ask where you have your information from (The parents marriage, Erics believes etc)? I suppose a lot of it comes from your interpretation of his character but I’d like to know what pieces of his writings/behaviour do you base that interpretation on? Hope that makes sense…

Sources for Eric’s beliefs (and my speculation surrounding):
See the Basement Tapes transcripts, His journal

Hello, sorry if it’s bothering you. Do you happen to know a website that contains all the tapes Eric and Dylan left behind? It may even be in the form of texts. Usually the ones I find are incomplete. Anyway, thank you! By the way, could you tell me what Eric’s religion is?

Hi and not a problem. 🙂  Are you referring to their Basement Tapes or their video production tapes?  If you meant the Basement Tapes, those were never released and never will be so there’s no website for those (we only wish!). The transcripts of those tapes are incomplete because Jeffco did not want to release all the provocative violence inspiring things the boys expounded upon. They also probably named quite a few people they disliked and so all of that was avoided for security sake for those individuals that  E & D targeted.  The transcripts released are a very condensed cliff notes version from the 5 tapes which had nearly 4 hours worth of video footage. Here are the edited Basement Tapes transcripts.  I know that there are other versions of those two floating around on the web such as Peter Langman’s version and the version from the Time Magazine Dec ‘99 article.  Best thing to do is Google Search “Columbine Full Basement Tapes transcripts” and see what you pull up.

We know that Eric’s parents had a church wedding at First Presbyterian of the Christian Protestant denomination.  However, Eric himself, strongly disliked religion of any kind as he believed it was way for society to be controlled and to obediently not think beyond what they are told to do.  Plus, being in a community that was strongly Christian which pushed it’s dogma on to others was a big turn off for him. His thinking was a bit of a mixed bag:  He was nihilistic and cynical enough to be considered an Atheist in that he seemed to not believe in God. Yet, on the other hand, he seemed to be a tad Agnostic in his curiosity as to what will be in store for him once he died.  He seemed to like to hopefully entertain possibilities that life would continue on for him in some other form more so than just ceasing to exist. It’s hard to speculate if he had some other concept about ‘God’ as a form of universal consciousness that kept the human spirit living beyond this life.

Do we have any real evidence to prove they were virgins? I mean Dylan was a VERY private person he didn’t even want to tell his friends about a girl he liked what makes you think he’ll said ” Hey I had sex last night ” the chances are between slim and never

But the chances are even more slim to never that Dylan had sex (let alone was private about it) for the simple sheer fact that he was extremely shy and didn’t date long enough to feel comfortable enough to be intimate with a girl. That is your supporting evidence.

Dylan went out once –maybe twice- with Sasha Jacobs and she didn’t care for him.  It is rumored that he went out one time with Kristen Theibault but they never went out again.  And that is the extent of it. Additionally, we know according to many evidential instances in Dylan’s journal that he was holding out for being with his True Love in the Halcyons afterlife.  Had he managed to have sex with a girl,  you would think he would at least hinted about it in his very personal, private writings.

Eric went out on dates with different girls but they never progressed to a relationship. Girls just generally declined going out with him further. The only girl that was anything close to a steady ‘girlfriend’ was Sasha Jacobs. He dated her about 20 times and she dumped him.  Never once does Eric mention in his journal that he got laid – and we all know he is the type of personality that would’ve expounded on the sex in great detail if he’d had the chance to fuck them  The supporting evidence is this:

Eric wrote this class assignment about nine months after his time spent with Sasha. Doesn’t sound like someone that even experienced a first base kiss since he compares kissing to spitting.

Just days away from the massacre, he writes on 4/3/99:

“Right now I’m trying to get fucked and trying to finish off these time bombs. NBK came quick. why the fuck cant I get any? I mean, I’m nice and considerate and all that shit, but noooo. I think I try to hard. but I kinda need to considering NBK is closing in.”

Dylan Klebold and Chico’s Groove

acinnamon-girl:

Exit Planet Dust is The Chemical Brothers’ debut album. Of
all the songs on the record Chico’s Groove appears to be the one that
resonated the most with Dylan, judging by the amount of times he scribbled it
in his day planner, and even decorated Nate Dykeman’s yearbook by emblazoning it
at the head of his message.

One of the best things about Exit Planet Dust is the way
each song bleeds into the next, sometimes making it difficult to pinpoint where
a track ends and another begins. This review explains how this
made it a landmark in mid-‘90s techno, which had been more singles
focused.

It’s interesting that Dylan – though he surely appreciated
the record in its entirety and probably even drifted off to it as Devon Adams
has described him doing when listening to music late at night – still honed in
on this one particular track.

With a structure described as “bangers up front, woozy
pretty music on the second half”, Chico’s Groove marks the beginning of the
album’s second phase. Seventh of the album’s 11 tracks, it’s wedged between the
massive, danceable beats of Chemical Beats, and the sleepy, romantic One Too
Many Mornings
.

I once read someone describe Chico’s Groove as sounding like (and I’m paraphrasing here) “the universe being born and expanding and caving in on itself and then being
born again”. That about sums it perfectly. The beginning and end feel like the
start and finish of a space adventure, and everything in the middle feels like
you’re soaring into the intergalactic beyond, glimpsing its wonders from behind
the glass window of a rocket ship.

Knowing what we do about Dylan, it’s easy to understand why
this track in particular appealed to him. It’s hippie and trippy, yet it’s also
firmly grounded with steady, repetitive beats that run through the entire
track. It’s techno that’s soft and allows you to dream rather than a rowdy
‘TUNE!’

It’s also exactly the kind of techno that encourages the “communal transcendence” that the genre strives for. Dylan, who felt so disconnected from humanity and yet nursed a deep longing for love and belonging at the same time, was drawn to a music style made to be enjoyed en masse with others and intended to enhance connectivity.

Yet he often listened to techno in solitude, even to the extent of using headphones while driving with his parents on a road trip. When they coaxed him to share his music with them, they (and probably he!) were surprised by how much they enjoyed it (there’s a lesson somewhere in there for you Dyl… One that you’ve surely learnt by now.).

And while we have no way of knowing what the track was, in my mind it was probably something similar to Chico’s Groove – different enough, but still groovy and accessible to parents who’d lived through and been young during a more original psychedelic era some nearly 20-30 years earlier.

Who knows if Dylan is still listening to Chico’s Groove, but maybe he’s finally reached the halcyon planes that its rhythms allude to.

Me an hour ago: ‘Hmm.. I need some groovin’ Dylan jams on my blog this Saturday evening..

’ *looks at tag*

Perrrfect ! @acinnamon-girl , my fellow redhead Chem Bros lovin’ chica, y’all about read my mind! 👌🏻✨💖✨🔮☮️

And you might be on to something there with that mystery music that he shared with his parents on their road trip to Arizona.  Damnit Sue, why couldn’t you just tell us. Lol    I will never stop wondering…

Sorry if the question is inconvenient, but was it quoted somewhere that the boys had already had a sexual experience? A thank you in advance, and again, sorry if it is inconvenient. Have a good night!!!! ♥

Neither of the boys had any sexual experience. Perhaps you read about Brenda Parker and her claims that she had sex with Eric (to which Dave Cullen inaccurately misinforms people of in his book, ‘Columbine’ without checking his facts).  Brenda’s claims were found out to be phony by the authorities. She was basically an Eric fangirl making up stories and got in over her head and confessed to making everything up  See here.   Any quote you see saying as such is incorrect.  The boys are forever virgins. lol

what kind of music did eric listen to when he was a freshman (or in middle school) and more “preppy”?

We don’t really have any musical groups mentioned that he liked earlier on. Though I tend to think he was into regular metal bands much more than he would’ve been into ‘preppy’ music before he latched on to German industrial and the like.  I seem to recall a tiny mention of his metal interest but I’d have to look into it.

If Dylan had been sexually active with a loving partner, would he still have wanted to occasionally spiritually cleanse himself and refrain from sexual activity from time to time as he did with masturbation?

No, because thinking about the one you love or being sexually active with them is spiritual and pure.  Cleansing would be necessary when one is having lustful thoughts of others (i.e. porn) or screwing around to please themselves out of their base desires/gratifications.

If he was in a love relationship but was watching porn secretly on the side or having cheating thoughts/fantasies then it would cause a conflict of interest for him enough to cleanse.

How did dylan “cleanse” himself? Like in the quote you posted

I extracted his reasons from the quote but these are the examples he gives in order to “cleanse” himself:

– deleting the wads on my computer (wads are add -on game levels he created)

– not getting drunk for periods of time

 – trying not to ridicule/make fun of people (name of someone given) at school

Additionally, I think it’s safe to say that his attempts to abstain from masturbation and curb his porn watching were also his attempts to spiritually, morally, cleanse himself.

In which way did Dylan want to be accepted?

To simply be automatically liked, approved of and included as part of his classmates. He wanted others to like him naturally without any worry or burdens that he had.  As we know, he was a shy person with social anxiety.which tended to make him withdrawn and to come across much quieter around others he didn’t know (which made him stand out in the wrong way). He lacked the social skills and confidence to just automatically win over the accepted classmates within the first year or so that he entered high school.  On top of that, and to a larger extent, I’m sure that being gifted made it extremely difficult to feel like he was on an equal level with everyone else. And Dylan wanted badly to fit in; he wanted to be just like everyone else and not feel so markedly different as he felt on the inside in comparison to others his age. Yet, he was so a head of the average high school education curve than his peers. In order to adjust, over time, he slacked off on school work, hid his intelligence by dumbing himself down enough so as to blend in.  He automatically got sifted down into the outcast group as that anti-social, nerdy geek.  He was considered an undesirable, a freak, a loser, a nobody – a nothing.   “I’d rather have nothing than be nothing”.

If he could remake himself he would have the abundant lifestyle he perceived the jocks to have.  He would sacrifice being so smart in order to be readily accepted by others, to have women interested in him, to find happiness in living the ‘ignorance is bliss’ lifestyle.  He envied what the jocks seemed to have and eventually, he rejected the jocks and their popular lifestyle.
