Do you think my dreams about the boys are there way of coming to visit me or just because I think about them a lot during the day

Tbh, I think a good chunk of those dreams are realistically speaking because you think about the boys so much during the day. You’re so saturated in your mental thoughts about them that it spills over into your subconscious dream world. The rest could possibly be visitation dreams. Those types of dreams are usually very, very vivid and engage your emotions so profoundly, often with a message of some sort, that the residual recollection of the dream will echo and stay with you for sometimes days and beyond.

Did Eric know about Dylan giving his website adress to Brooks? If so how did he react? If not how would have he reacted?

Eric didn’t know about it. Dylan made Brooks swear not to tell how he obtained the url. Eric would’ve been majorly upset and seen it as a betrayal of their friendship especially since he considered Brooks a top five enemy around that time period. If it didn’t damage Dylan and Eric’s friendship it certainly would’ve put a major riff into it. I don’t necessarily see that Eric would burn his bridges with Dylan..since Dylan was pretty much all he had… but Dylan would have had to eat crow to make it up if he couldn’t stand to lose Eric’s friendship. There of course would be trust issues for Eric. Dylan obviously knew the risk he ran informing Brooks of the crazy shit Eric was pulling on his website that ran the risk of putting his friend in potential danger.

Can you describe Columbine high school and how it was in the 90s? I mean was it like fight central or preppy?

Sports central with the jock culture ruling the school. The snobby rich prep kids with the Hummers or other expensive new cars and their Abercrombie & Fitch designer labeled clothing and the Christian wholesome types with their WWJD bracelets.  That was the spectrum of elite social class.  Very much a culture of ‘you’’re either one of us or you are gum on the bottom of our shoes’ type environment.  Those that were not into any form of sport were called the “No Sports”

Hey! I feel a little guilty re-sending my question, since I don’t want your inbox to be immediately flooded…but my question is, what do you think Eric and Dylan would have thought of Tarantino’s more recent films? I watched Inglourious Basterds recently and thought they would have greatly enjoyed that, with its revolutionary tone and gratuitous violence.

I think I saw this questions before..so if that was you asking me before, well, you’re in luck today as you are No. 2 in my Ask cue. 🙂   And, oh yeah, I think the two would’ve looooved Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds. Without a doubt. Besides of which they pretty much loved anything violently tongue n’ cheek by Tarantino. I’m sure they would’ve loved to quote some of the choice lines from it including imitating Brad Pitt’s southern accent of “Gnaaatzis” for Nazis. They would’ve dug the head Nazi wickedly played by Christoph Waltz (I know I did!) Eric would’ve enjoyed studying the Nazi military officers in their uniforms and listening to the German conversations and trying to figure out what they were saying. Slam dunk their kind of flick.

PSA: Message Box Purge

I find lately, all I’m doing is skimming and answering the very latest asks that come in. So, I decree that it’s time for a midsummer’s tidying up today. 🙂

Therefore…

today, I will be deleting all 519 messages in my in-box to start fresh again.   🙂

Please know that I appreciate your messages. ❤ I’m sorry if I’ve somehow overlooked your question/comment/messages to me, and that I’ve had to jettison them to free up the inbox.  However, given the influx of messages that I receive, I can only address so many questions at a time. Some times it’s a case of me just not wanting to address a particular question (especially repeat questions. ahem) but more often than not, it’s simply because there are too many questions and not enough time for me to address all of them adequately.

Feel free to re-send the question you sent previously.  Please limit to one question per person. If your question doesn’t get addressed in one week, you can resend and let me know you’re resending the question again.  Please keep in mind, the manner I choose to answer questions is generally random depending on what interests me at the moment to address.

If you as an anon sent me multiple questions that I by luck of the draw never answered,

please do not take it personally

because I have no way of knowing who any of you are on ‘anonymous’  unless of course, you’re asking with your username. 🙂

If you’re desperate for an answer and don’t mind asking me in private with your username, that’s fine too.  It’s a risk you’ll have to take to get a more immediate response off anon. But I’ll admit, I am not always as diligent at answering those right away too. Sometimes I do and other times, you might have to wait a day or two for a response back. 🙂

LASTLY: If you have a question, please, please PLEASE try to use the E-C Search tool first or check the FAQ to make sure the question has not already been addressed before.  I am very inclined to scroll over those repeat questions…

So..without further adieu.  let the PURGE begin!

Is Dylan waiting to be reunited with Sue? Does he look after his family? (Basing off your own beliefs)

Mm..I don’t think he’s actively waiting in a sense of anticipation?   Just it’s more like that he knows the time will come when it’s meant to happen, he will reunite with his mom again…and his dad and eventually his brother too.  Of course, he does keep tabs on his family and friends.  You can bet he is fully aware of all his mom is doing and this intense underscore of dedication to him. He receives all of her intent to be a positive force, to make right out of his wrong by helping others struggling as he did, to bring awareness to the world, out of a sense of parental obligation, but also out of her steadfast, unwavering love for her son and the profound feeling of having failed him.  There will be little if any reservation on his part when he and his she reunite because he knows she won’t rebuke him.  Yet, in that very moment, he will feel profoundly sorry as she for the pain and suffering caused.  It will be an overwhelming moment of instant soul recognition, profound love, deeper understanding and healing.  Based on my own beliefs.. but of course. 😉

Hey miss E-C hope your day is wonderful I have a question what do you think about the people in the tcc community that basically just fangirl about how hot Dylan and eric were and how they wish they could marry them?

My feeling is that that is just the maturity level they’re on at this point in time.  There is always going to be a percentage of girls fangirling dudes whether that be a boy band, celebrities, that hot baddie in a movie to those attractive looking real life criminals and serial/mass killers. That’s the internet for you.  People get into the TCC for a variety of personal reasons and some are just sucked in by their physical attraction and hormones much more than the case itself or psychological aspects. It is what it is. No one can reason or berate them to view it any other way though because, for them, their focus is on the physical surface things which is their honest personal level of expression at this point in time.  Check back with those types in 2-5 years and they hopefully may have moved on from their fangirl phase..at least of E and D anyway. lol   For the most part, my philosophy is live and let live.

Yes, it gets annoying on the tag at times. You have the choice of either not visiting the tags – or – you can always be the change you want to see. You or others can always post more case-informational stuff and tagging it so that stuff will begin to outweigh the fangirl posts which have now taken over the tags.  If everyone just complains about all the fangirl flower crowns and ubiquitous imagines on the tag but no one actually actively contributes to making the tag better..it’s just going to stay the same: overrun by a fangirl vibe.

And thanksss 🙂  Hope you have a wonderful day too. ❤

Hi Miss E-C! I love your blog and appreciate all your posts, especially the handy E-C search 😆❤️and I have a question for you which I can’t seem to find on your search so assuming you’ve not answered it before. Why do you think Dylan never mentioned anything to Eric about him being Jewish to Eric when for example, Eric would mention/praise hitler or something or trash-talk the jewish people?

Thank you!   Well, hmm..why do you think Dylan might keep that to himself in knowing Eric raved about Hitler and Nazi ideology?   If we looked at this logically,  Dylan said nothing so as to brush under the carpet that little secret about himself, to deny that smidge of a heritage internally by never making others aware of it, but more importantly, he never openly volunteered that information in order to remain included/accepted as Eric’s friend.  He did, however, goof during the Basement tapes when he inadvertently mentioned ‘Passover’ while they were randomly ranting about stuff.  Dylan was either careless when he did that and/or just didn’t think Eric would pick up on it as a Jewish holiday enough to bother confronting him about it.  If you E-C Search “jewish”, I go into it more here.

To My love:

As a man, a conqueror does his deeds of greatness. He thinks he is complete. Yet, the true great person achieves happiness only when he has met his soulmate. Alone unknown until the first time they lay eyes on each other. A true love is hard to come by, yet the most fulfilling beautiful completing achievement any man can have. Some have wealthy, some have power, some have great intellect, yet i feel an infinite # of times greater than those as i have found my true love.

     – Dylan Bennet Klebold

What do you think about Dylans spelling errors in his journal? Is it a symptom of schizophrenia or whatever, or was he into poems and that’s just his creativity showing? The making words up for the aesthetic makes sense with words like “depressioners” instead of cuts, because they could be seen as directly correlated to his depression, why not openly say that through a new word. But the “I love you beyond infinice” instead of infinity makes me wonder because infinity’s a perfectly good word :/

What I think is that anyone that is casually writing in their personal journals will have multiple spelling errors as they’re frantically trying to get their emotions out by hand to paper. I don’t think there are too many in this world that write grammatically correct with no misspellings in their journal. I also don’t think most people skim over their journals to correct errors after having cathartically downloaded their emotions into a feverish scrawl.  I believe that Dylan was a creative guy and when he was half in fantasy/poetic writing mode while feeling sad and in a state of being his most emotionally vulnerable in the privacy of his own bedroom, he’d asserted his individuality occasionally by changing up a word or two to fit it more to his own taste and liking.  He put a spin on a few words (i.e. ‘depressioners’ instead of plain ol’ boring ‘cuts’)  or he occasionally tweaked a word to fit more his liking (i.e. infinity = infinince (infinity x itself)) but he really doesn’t do that often enough to warrant this red flag behavior that he had Schizotypal Personality Disorder (as Dr. Peter Langman diagnosed him) nor do I think that this is an idiosyncrasy which underscores the depth of his depression. I sincerely think that Dylan was a creative and romantic writer when expressing his personal feelings, concepts, and views about this world as he perceived it. His journal; his party. As an individual expressing himself in his personal writings, he could change up a few words and no one had the power to tell him otherwise. And, it’s not like he went around using his made-up words when speaking to friends and family.  People tend to read into things too much sometimes. Especially when the shrink “experts” need to come up with that quick and easy post mortem diagnosis for their book. It’s just not a big deal in my opinion.  But then… my own personal writings tend to take on a sense of artistic license too. 😉

was eric’s brother also affected by how many times their family had to move? how come he isn’t as affected as eric was?

It’s difficult to quantify how much the moving around affected Eric’s bro.  Kevin was Eric’s big brother being three years older himself and so Kevin was perhaps a bit more emotionally mature and better equipped to handle the moving around better.  That said, the two hypothetically could’ve been the same age, yet one personality might just be less sensitive and more resilient to cope with multiple changes.  No two people are exactly alike in how they react to or handle big life events.  It would seem though that Kevin was more outgoing than Eric, and Eric was more of a sensitive introvert.  Kevin was probably more adaptable and go-with-the-flow than Eric who emotionally needed to stay rooted and connected with the friends he made and the (continuous) disruption of environment made him begin to feel out-of-control as if he had no say in his world.

I’m not sure if you have answered this before but was Eric wearing his KMFDM cap to the massacre? I’ve read on tumblr that he did, but in Brooks’ book he was under the impression that something was up with Eric on the day of the massacre because he hadn’t been wearing his cap – which apparently he wore everyday. This might be a weird question but I’m just a little confused!

No, Eric was not wearing his ballcap at all during the massacre. Brooks’ confirmation of that is correct.
