Didn’t I just answer this question already ? And that’s about all I’m going to say on the matter.
You’ve probably already answered this before but idk much about it so, when Eric and Dylan were planning NBK, were they planning to kill themselves as well? Or during the shooting did they finally decide to commit suicide?
Oh no, committing suicide was always part of the plan, the ‘end game’ as part of their mission. There could never be an alternative such as being taken alive… Because if they survived NBK, that would mean the cops would take them into custody and they’d be stuck on this hell hole in prison. It would mean the cops would have the upper hand and have the last word. For an entire year, the boys were under the authorities thumb all during the diversion program and also their schools. But now, they would have the last word by taking themselves out after their mission was complete. The authorities would be squirming but they would be in charge of Fate including their own. If the cops shot and killed them in the shootout that was fine too. It would hardly matter as they’d be gone and the permanent damage was done.
The Basement Tapes:
Eric: “You guys will all die, and it will be fucking soon! I hope you get an idea of what we’re implying here. You all need to die! We need to die, too! We need to fucking kick-start the revolution here!”
Dylan: We don’t give a shit because we’re going to die doing it.“
Eric’s journal:
”I will sooner die than betray my own thoughts, but before I leave this worthless place, I will kill whoever I deem unfit…“
do you think Dylan would’ve liked or even watched the movie “Psycho”??
Dylan’s parents were classic movie buffs and Sue mentioned that a family favorite was Alfred Hitchcock’s Vertigo. I would wager that Dylan had been exposed to quite a few Hitchcock classics including Psycho. I’m sure he probably appreciated the technical aspects and subtle slow-build filmmaking style of the way these films were crafted.
This reminds me..I should have another Classic Movie Night with the Klebolds post featuring…Vertigo. 😉
Do you remember where you were 4/20/99. Do you remember seeing on tv.
I do remember exactly where I was vividly and yes, seeing it on tv.
Hi Miss EC!! I went to a crime museum with my parents today and we saw everything I’ve ever learned about in the tcc. We stopped by something Columbine related and they asked me a fair few questions. Which I wouldn’t have been able to answer without you being so helpful. Thank you.
Awww, yay!! I love to hear stuff like this. 🙂 Sounds like you enjoyed the expert limelight today compliments of your E-C lessons. haha Thanks for sharing this – Good stuff! ❤
It’s hard to have any sympathy about Dylan and Eric getting bullied as they awful bullies themselves.
Yes, well sure it’s hard. But we need to keep in mind that bullying is a vicious cycle. The awful bullies they transformed into is a behavior that they learned over time, as so many do, while suffering disempowering harassment and stewing unheard and unsupported in a toxic school setting. They adopted bullying from seeing and experiencing others doing it to them and they acted out on others in a ‘kick the dog’ mentality as a coping mechanism to displace the rage and to lift their very low self-esteem. Bullying breeds a ‘survival of the fittest’ environment. They chose to make a statement and become the ultimate bullies asserting dominance over their school and everyone in it. I am not at all justifying what they did but merely explaining that Eric and Dylan didn’t just magically turn into bullies over night. What they turned into is a devolving progression that involved others participation in ‘awful bullying’ behavior before they themselves adopted it too.
Miss E-C! Hope your day is going well, and you have a fine week. :)
Thank you! ❤
Why did Dylan use a match striker on his wrist instead of just using a lighter?
The match strikers worked well for their crickets which had either match laced fuses (such as this one) or a hard file fuses. I’m sure they carried their zippo lighters too so they had both options readily available to use quickly and efficiently.

If Brandi was in the library, do you think Eric would have killed her? Or spared her life? Idk if Eric would have cared for “romance” & for Brandi to die with him at that moment because he was so angry at the school so maybe he would have wanted to get his anger from rejection out. What do you think? I know Dylan would have thought about it all in a romantic way. What if his “lover” was in the library, do you think he would have killed her, given her the choice to die with her or let her go?
Did Dylan & Eric answer phones at Blackjack?
Yes. They were pizza cooks, took orders over the phone and provided excellent customer service. heheheh
Do you think Dylan and Eric would hate how the world is today?

Is there anything in particular you still want to see/feel like is pulling you back to Littleton despite the obvious? I know you already went into a Blackjacks (not the same one but hey, that’s still so freaking cool!) which is something I dream to do when I visit so I totally envy you for that :D Is there anything you feel like you missed out on when you went? :3 Love you lots Miss EC!
There are a lot of little niggly things that I didn’t get to do last summer since I ran out of time. Four days was apparently not enough time spent in a boring, white bread suburban town lol which quite frankly, just boggles my mind. I was really not expecting to embrace Littleton at all the way I seem to have. People who had been told me it was bland, boring and soulless – and yet, I don’t know why I feel drawn back to it precisely since I’ve already seen much of the pivotal landmarks. Littleton is ordinary, it’s not something special but there’s something about it. My time there flew by so quickly, and I absorbed so much of it like a sponge. it was as surreal as it was real. I craved to see and experience more. Especially in relation to the school as it had some sort of strange pull on me as if I had been glamoured by it. I also want to explore more of the Deer Creek Mesa area – Dyl’s neighborhood, check out some other homes, more of the victims’ gravesites, etc. But there is just something..some things I haven’t done yet there to satisfy me in a way to complete the journey. I just figure I’ll go with the flow and that I will know what that is once I’ve gone back another time. 😉 And I realize I probably haven’t answered your question perhaps the way you might’ve expected. Sorry ‘bout that. lol. Well, if this is something you want to do badly I don’t at all mind if you live through my trip vicariously until you get the opportunity to visit yourself 🙂
Much ❤ to you too!
Do you think the boys would have liked the dark knight?
Mentioned before here.

Since Dylan couldn’t go to a rave, I drew him ready for one. :-]]
Looove it ! Peace out Cosmic Sunshine boi ✌🏻☮️🌞🍄🌼⭐️👽💖⚡️✨

“……. is the newest… the purest, (for now)… seems perfect for me… I seem perfect for her.
…I was delusional & thought she waved at me the last day of school. Oh well… my emotions are gone so much past pain alone, my senses are numbed. The beauty of being numb…’” – Dylan Klebold
Venus Conjunct Pluto – The Transforming Lover
Your intimate personal relationships will be extremely important in your life, creating a sphere of experience which can take you to both the heights and the depths of emotional intensity, and will be a focus for energies of transformation which will influence the direction of your life. What you are searching for is ‘the ultimate physical / emotional affair’, a consuming passionate involvement with your ideal partner; and this desire will play a prominent role in your choices of partner for relationship. Unfortunately, what you are chasing is more of an illusion rather than a reality, a dream figure projected from your own psyche that you look to find in the objective world the anima and animus images of Jungian psychology.
As real life has a habit of shattering illusions, you will often be frustrated in your relationships, which could lead you to experiment with a variety of partners, none of whom seems to fit your inner picture of ‘perfection’. Emotionally, you can be difficult to satisfy, as you tend to believe that there is always a greater intensity and experience that has so far eluded you, but which would be within your reach if only you could find the right partner. Inevitably, your emotional life will be full of highs and lows; and the likelihood is that you will either break up promising relationships or allow them to fall apart by withdrawing your commitment because you are already casting your net for a more suitable mate. It can be difficult for someone who is emotionally attached to you, as you tend to ‘blow hot and cold’, fire, passion, and intensity, and ice, distance and disinterest, as your partner displays his or her more frail human face. Only a ‘god or a goddess’ will do for you! The point is that you are externalizing your inner ideal partner; and what is required is that you realize that you have to evoke these qualities from within your own nature, to become more complete and self-sufficient in yourself, rather than look for another to bear the strain of expressing them, and upon whom you lean. You have to reabsorb your own fantasy projection, stop expecting another to live up to your ideal, and learn how to embody it yourself. It is a step in moving towards the inner androgynous state of being, where the physical male integrates his anima, allowing ‘traditional feminine qualities’ of sensitivity, intuitiveness, nurturing and caring to enrich his life, and the physical woman integrates her animus, releasing qualities of action, intellect and assertiveness to enrich her life; an inner balance. Until you begin to make progress in this inner psychological necessity, then it is likely that you will continue to find an underlying dissatisfaction in your relationships, a feeling that there must be more somewhere. You need to change in order to create an opportunity for your relationships to stand a chance of working; you need to accept the real nature of people, their weaknesses, and strengths, and learn to love real flesh and blood people. Potentially, your capacity for the intensity of love can stimulate considerable transformation in yourself and partners, acting as a healing and development catalyst; the process of rebirth in your life will come via your emotions, but be prepared to suffer the ‘death of the heart’ first. Your vitality and energy can give you an artistic temperament and ability, coupled with a style of dramatic self-expression; and people will rarely respond to you in a lukewarm manner, finding themselves either strongly attracted to the consuming flame or repulsed as the intensity is too much for them. Transformation, perhaps through the reorientation of your excess vital emotional energy towards a spiritual or social cause, could help regeneration, offering equal intensity but from a stabilized inner balance.
Lesser known poem in cursive by Rachel, “Pictures”
“Pictures
Pictures of my life
Everything captured on endless black and white film
Every moment, every angle, every one
Where I am both the photographer and the poser.
Every sorrow, every laugh
Every kiss, every hurt
Censored to the public
Seen by my soulmates
Captured by my hand
Poised by my naked soul
No… by my naked body
For even the film cannot capture my true form
My true existence”
Why is this post on my dash you might wonder?
I noticed a commonality in syntax and only typed a comment:
“my true existence”
However, I did not reblog this post. I swear.
Now, this is going to be morbid, but if you haven’t seen this detail already, you might look again. It surprised me. Upon reading a description of what *exactly* happened when EDH clocked out, it mentioned the force was so strong it blew his eyes out of the sockets, mentioned his right eye was “still hanging on”. If you look at a photo of their death again, if you find the right one that’s from the angle where DBK’s feet are, you can see the eyeball right above Eric’s hand… 😶
Oh no, not this again.. haha I’m going to link you to who I’m in agreement with as to what actually occurred with Eric’s eyes.
This was probably answered before but why was Eric’s autopsy report stating he had black hair? It says blood stained which I assume darkens the hair but why not say blonde?
Please E-C Search and type in “black hair”.
Hello :) May I ask for your personal opinion on Brooks Brown? His book made me interested in Columbine in the first place, but his opinion on what caused the shooting seems a bit too monocausal to me if that makes sense? Like he’s fixated on the idea that it was solely bullying but they didn’t exactly shoot their tormentors, did they. Also he portrays Dylan as just a follower and Eric as the evil mastermind behind it all. Finally I heard about him being a child molester, so that’s that I guess?
That’s probably because Brooks actually went to Columbine and knew first hand what was going on at that dysfunctional school. He witnessed the toxic culture and the rampant bullying that went on as staff and teachers looked the other way. If anyone should be able to identify the underlying, significant, causation factor it is him rather than ‘expert’ psychologists, authors and journalists who weren’t there, and more importantly, were not friends with Dylan and Eric as Brooks in fact, was. It isn’t so much ‘fixation’ but assuredness. It’s not a mere belief he has but a knowing from having experienced it first hand as a student there. Why bullying has been brushed under the carpet and minimized when it comes to Columbine, is quite frankly baffling (not to mention criminal), to be honest. It is rather Dave Cullen that has fixated on his belief, his idea, that bullying was not the fundamental reason for why the two did what they did.
The two didn’t specifically target certain individuals specifically as their tormentors because at a certain point, after enduring mistreatment to the point of sparking much rage and depression within them, they came to the conclusion that the entire school itself was their tormentor. I would highly recommend you watch this video as to exactly why the school was a target as a whole rather than individuals targeted.
Eric and Dylan planned to bomb the cafeteria, and they hoped to take out a good chunk of the school with approximately 500 people having A lunch period. I’m sure part of the reason too is that they knew that a fair amount of the jocks would be having lunch during that time too…sitting at their usual tables..near those duffle bag incased propane bombs. It also would’ve been rather ridiculous and time wastingly futile for them to chase around certain people in the school. I’m certain they didn’t know where every single student was to go after them and it would’ve put them at a disadvantage to separate from one another to locate targeted individuals. It was much more effective in their mind to just blow up the school when many would be having lunch at the time. Why not take out the entire Cancer rather than go after each and every malignant cell?
I don’t really agree that Brooks simplistically views Dylan as a follower to Eric the evil mastermind, at least, not in the one-dimensional manner that Dave Cullen subscribes too. However, I will say that Brooks knew Dylan since they were little kids and he remained friends with Dylan throughout the years, even though they grew a part there for a while. Eric, on the other hand, burnt a fair amount of bridge with Brooks. It’s not so hard to see why Brooks views Eric as a manipulative and conniving sonofabitch seeing as they’d just rekindled a friendship after months of a cold war (in which Eric was attacking and vandalizing his house and threatening Brooks and his family on this website) and then Eric goes and does this..along with his childhood friend. Who can blame him for having perhaps more of a bias against Eric – especially after their chilling last exchange which has bothered him to this day: “I like you now..get out of here, go home.” That said, make no mistake, at the end of the day, Brooks is just as angry at Dylan as he is Eric. He finds them equally responsible.
and lastly, here is where you can catch yourself up on Brooks being a creep with young girls. I think it speaks for itself. 😉
