I know Dylan was suffering, but his life looked like fun on the outside. He wasn’t poor, he had a pretty house, a car, a job, and all the videos they filmed with Eric and the rest of his friends really looked like they had a great time hanging out. I guess to some extent he had everything and yet nothing at all.

“I’d rather have nothing than be nothing”

– Dylan Klebold

Dylan had everything yet nothing inside himself.  A rich poor man with nothing to live for and no hope for his future.  Depression is a bitch, ain’t it?  You take everything that others, on the outside looking in, perceive as “good” and “prosperous” in your life for granted because your mind is in a pessimistic, gloomy state that is only able to see the glass as half empty and the water as filthy pond scum.

Hmm… I wonder if Robyn and Veronica didn’t get along BECAUSE OF Dylan. Based off of her claims that he was always nice to her, it’s possible that he had a crush on her, right? She was after all a very physically attractive girl and if she was a “stuck up bitch” I don’t see Dylan being friendly towards her. Robyn was probably butt hurt about it which resulted in them having spats between one another lmao.

While your scenario might be possible,  it’s also equally possible the girls just didn’t like one another for whatever reasons we don’t know about. Just personality conflicts type of a thing.  It’s hard to extrapolate the dynamics based off of just this teeny tiny account.  I think it’s wishful thinking to decide this is what is going on though.  I would say Dylan was the type of guy that was 99% nice to just about any girl that was nice back to him though.  And, according to his writings, he had multiple crushes on unknown girls. CHS was very large and there were a lot of girls, and plenty that he had ‘nice’ interactions with in class on a daily basis (including Val Schnurr). So, given all of that, it’s difficult to really pinpoint exactly if the reasoning the two girls didn’t get along is because of catty jealous rivalry.  We also have to consider too that Robyn had a couple of guys she interacted with as friends and while in Dylan’s company. For example, she’d walk from Calculus class with Dylan and Joe to the 3rd hour class at which point they split up and went to each of their classes.  I honestly do not see Robyn as being mono-focused on Dylan nor jealous concerning his interactions with other people including other girls.

how do you know eric smoked camel reds? was this mentioned somewhere?

“About 100 yards from the Columbine band room, on the fringe of adjacent Clement Park, surrounded by a five-foot-high fence, is a place where the clique borders completely vanish: the Smokers’ Pit. You’re supposed to get a signed pass from your parents to smoke at Columbine, but that rule isn’t always enforced. Nicotine cravings bring people together in a way no counselor can. “It’s the one place where everyone is equal,” says (Sarah) Slater. “They all know each other, and everyone talks to each other because they have nothing better to do.” You’d be as likely to see a jock or a prep in the Pit as you would a classic burnout, sitting around the green picnic table, chatting like old friends and playing Hacky Sack. Eric smoked Camel Reds. Dylan’s brand was Marlboro Menthols. Sometimes they smoked cigars.”

Sourced from this very thorough article that came out nearly 1.5 months after the tragedy: Columbine: Humiliation and Revenge – The Story of Reb and VoDkA

Kamel Red vs Camel Filters

Why didn’t Dylan want to say the f word in Hitmen for Hire? It’s not like he was in the same video production class as Eric, so why would he care?

Dylan was a co-star to help Eric complete the Hitmen for Hire essay and video for his Government Economics class.   I’m sure too that Eric was motivated to get a decent grade on his project and likely told his co stars that the production would required a sanitized swearing version.  (Frick instead of F***) Dylan was well aware that he would’ve jeopardized his friend’s grade points if he let loose with the cussing. That’s what good friends do for one another. lol . However, if that had been Dylan’s project, he likely would’ve flouted the rules, tbh.

I saw somewhere on here that someone said Eric and Dylan smoked cloves? Just wanted to share that they actually smoked Camel Filters.

Dylan smoked Marlboro Menthols and Eric smoked Kamel Red cigarettes. My feeling is that Dylan was the sort of guy that dabbled in clove cigar/ettes for the perceived eccentricity of it, especially in mainstream Littleton.   Swisher cigars were found in Dylan’s car. Swisher Sweet Gotham cigars are flavorful and come in a wide-variety of sweet aromas such as chocolate, berry, grape and unique sweet tobacco flavors. In his Man in Black essay, Dylan makes a point of vividly describing The Man’s unique scent: “He smoked a thin cigar. And a sweet clovesque scent emanated from his aura.”  I feel as though Dylan fancied his fantasy alter ego persona to partake in such smokes.  He dug the affectation along with wearing a long black leather trench coat.
