In that video you posted of the interview, was that DYLAN’S casket that was shown?

No, that is not Dylan’s casket. I did see that someone took a snap from the clip of a green and gold casket trim and ran with making the assumption that it belonged to Dylan That was a casket of one of the victims most likely though I’m not sure whose it belonged to. Dylan was cremated, not buried. He was laid out in a temporary cardboard casket for his very small and private funeral service and then cremated.

***PLEASE ANSWER*** Can a person watch 20/20 the sue klebold interview on a labtop while its bei ng aired on tv?

If you’re in the US, I believe that depends on what sort of tv service provider you have. For example, if you have Universe or XFinity, you can download the app for your device or log on your your computer/ laptop and watch tv real time. There might be other ways of watching it on your laptop. Someone else is free to add to this if they have ideas.

The card sent to Anne Marie Hochhalter from Tom and Sue Klebold

Dear Anne Marie,

Our prayers have been with you each day as we read about the terrible ordeal you and your family have experienced. We read that you had been transferred to Craig Hospital, and we were so thankful that you had progressed to the point where you could enter a rehabilitation facility.
Though we have never met, our lives are forever linked through this tragedy that has brought unspeakable heartbreak to our families and our community. With deepest humility we apologize for the role our son, Dylan, had in causing the suffering you and your family have endured.
Your recovery process will be a long and difficult road, and we hope that the support of people all over the world will help you find strength and courage as you meet the many challenges you have yet to face. When we read reports of your progress, we marvel at your resolve.
It is still terribly difficult for us to believe that the son we knew could play a role in causing harm to you and others. The reality that he shared in the responsibility for this senseless tragedy is beyond our comprehension.
We offer our love, support and service as you and your family work to gain control over your lives.
May God watch over you during your recovery process and beyond. May each day bring you successes, however small, that bring you hope and encouragement.

                                                                                               Sincerely,

                                                                                    Tom and Sue Klebold

Do you think Dylan would have aged well? Byron has a receding hairline. I wonder if that would have happened to Dyl as well?

Dylan would’ve age similarly to his brother. His face would’ve been fuller in his thirties so that the shape of his head wouldn’t seen as long and narrow and his chin would stand out less and be more evened out and in proportion with the rest of his features.  His body would be a bit beefer and maybe even a little wee bit paunchy around the mid section . And yeah, Dylan too would likely have a receding hairline like Byron and his father as well.  It’s a given that men in their thirties tend to either go gray or their hair begins to thin around the forehead-hairline area.  It’s the natural progression of male aging.  Dyl would be no exception to any of it.   I do think Byron looks decent enough for his age but yeah, he’s middle aged at 37 so he’s going to look well, that age!  Dyl wouldn’t be looking 17 at 34.

I’m feeling really sad and lonely right now. Sometimes it just feels like no one cares about you or that you’re invisible. Do you ever feel this way? Can you offer any advice?

Absolutely, I do, yes.  The deceptive illusion here on this planet is that we are not connected but in truth, we are, in fact connected. We just can’t see that when we’re feeling down, lost and alone. But you’ve made yourself visible by asking this question so I, and others, may ‘see you’ and that is your attempt to seek connection. My advice here..well, my opinion, is that you made the right move while feeling sad and lonely just by seeking out someone’s help, seeking connection so to speak.  So, please do feel free to send me a mail message directly and don’t be a stranger. 🙂

“One is a mirror, the other, my shadow ” is probably the most accurate description of them 👍🏼 Btw ignore the hate. Your blog really helps paint a picture of the real Dylan. I’m sure wherever he is, Dylan’s happy you’re doing this. And I’m sure his family would be too. :)

I’m glad that description resonated and made sense to you. 🙂  Thanks for the supportive words, means a lot that you philosophically see the grand scheme of things. Especially nice to hear after a fair amount of nasties this week. TY ❤

i’ve been wondering, is there any theory on who the (in?)famous letter Dyl wrote was meant for? the one that was found still in his possessions afte he passed, not ever given to the person. could it be Marla? 👀

It could be but we really don’t know for certain.  Marla is the much speculated contender.  Marla herself claims in her small witness testimony in the 11K stated that the weekend before Columbine she, Zack and Dylan ‘hung out together’ (whatever that means).  Zack didn’t volunteer and corroborate her story in his account so it’s just something she mentioned which if true, means that Dylan spent some free time with her in the company of his best friend.  On the other hand, Cory Freisen mentioned that Dylan and Kristen Theibault had recently gone out together and that he heard they had a good time.  It’s really difficult to pinpoint as to who Dylan is referring to in the unsent love letter because there are no slam dunk clues about this girl he writes of.  Only one: “I was in a class with you 1st semester, & was blessed w. being with you in a report. I still remember your laugh. Innocent, beautiful, pure. This semester I still see you rarely. I am entranced during 5th period, as we both have it off.”  5th Period would be A Lunch. So, in Dyl speak, this sounds to me that he would sort of watch her from afar – probably more observing and noticing her from a distance at lunch rather than actually actively engaging in a social way with her, if at all sadly.  On the other hand, even if Dylan had gone out with Kristen just on a ‘get to know you better’ date, Dylan’s acrostic love poem is created for a girl’s name with 10 letters total in her first and last name combined which would then fit that particular criteria for Marla Foust.  Ultimately, though, there is just no conclusive way to connect the dots that it is her.  Class rosters in Dylan’s first semester would help but those were not released and only one of Dylan’s class schedules (his last) was released, compared to Eric who had quite a few class schedules released. If only we had Dylan’s 1st Semester class rosters………….
