Yes, the Ever-lasting contrast. Since existence has known, the 'fight' between good & evil has continued. Obviously, this fight can never end. Good things turn bad, bad things become good. My fav. contrasting symbol, because it is so true & means so much – the battle between good & bad never ends… Here we ponder on the tragedy of Dylan Klebold.
I’d have to say from his father’s side because his mother has very straight hair. We don’t have enough photos of Tom to really confirm this but we’ve seen plenty of Sue and her hair is quite bone straight.
Here is my original post which I deleted after confirming it to be a false rumor. Unfortunately, that post is still floating around after it’d been reblogged by others.
Just goes to show that not every guy you randomly dust is going to take it in stride as a joke. Some, as with Dylan, are traumatized enough with the harassment in school to get their hackles up and take it as a personal offense.
Yep. Just think, Dylan Klebold’s mom will be telling USher story with her own voice. Powerful stuff. I bet 16 years ago, she would never have imagined or believed it herself. Tissues will be necessary with that audio book for damn sure.
How do you know it would be her reading the audio book? They pay people to read audio books. I doubt she will be reading it.

Just thought it might be good to point as this wasn’t too clear to me earlier for some reason but it definitely looks as though she will be the “Reader” of her own audio book. It’s pricey to buy the audio book $32.93 – however, you can get an Audible trial and listen to her read the book under that free trial. 🙂
Can you all imagine how difficult it must’ve been for Sue to rehash all those memories, to read the book from cover to end in a fairly professional voice with so little as a trembling voice or a sniffle? She must’ve broken down during certain segments that she wasn’t expecting to. Something would’ve just suddenly hit her hard out of the blue. Then they’d have to retake that bit and have her excruciatingly read it yet again, one more time. Gah..
Absolutely! I’d say many times as it was one of his top five favs. Especially if he’s buying a shirt themed after it.
Hmm.. I wonder how his mom felt about her boy rebelling by proudly sporting an irreverant shirt that said “Serial Killer” complete with guns and blood spatters on it while at home and at school (though he might’ve snuck that). Sue spent a fair amount of time trying to curtail the amount of violent video games he played as a kid and now she wasn’t about to win the argument any longer over him purchasing this inappropriate shirt and wearing it when he pleased.
Can you just picture her reasoning with him? “I don’t understand, Dyl, what sort of message you’re trying to convey to people wearing a shirt that says that, do you even know?” *shrugs* “..it’s just a shirt..” followed by stomping boots up the stairs and a slam of his door with a secret smirk.*
Nate or the Klebolds or both, yeah. I’d mentioned that it’s be one of a few very good and relevant photos for Sue to choose for the book because it shows how carefree Dylan seemed clowning around for the camera while they looked for his dorm in Arizona just a month before the massacre. That said, Sue likely has hundreds of photos of Dylan she might decide to select for her book as personally relevant. She may even have chosen to be minimalistic with the amount of photos for her book (not to mention the fact that they may very well be black and white photos only). Worse case scenario there may not be any photos in her book. I say that because the cover of her book is of a photo that was already released to the public years ago and not a new, never before seen private family photo. 😦
Don’t worry, the question was phrased a bit oddly. So, to clarify yes, Eric and Dylan were at Columbine at the same time as their brothers but both boys only had one year together with their older brother. Eric was a freshman during Kevin’s senior year in 95-96. Byron only attended one year as a Senior at Columbine in 96-97 and Dylan was in his sophomore year.
Voracious appetite, large quantities of food. Cheap and easy teenage boy ‘food’, donuts, candy, sugary sodas, fast food crap. Sneaking stray fries out of Reb’s cardboard container and wolfing ‘em down with a Dr. Pepper. That legendary appetite along with a fast metabolism so he’d eat and eat yet stay that skinny bean pole with those long-ass legs.
Hmm, where did you get the idea that they were mad about it? By the way, that was from the chapter in ‘Far from the Tree’ by Andrew Solomon.
“The Klebolds had letters from kids who idealized Dylan, and from girls who were in love with him. “He has his own groupies,” Tom said with an ironic half smile. They were heartened by unanticipated kindnesses.” [Source]
Dylan ping ponged all over the place that morning (not necessarily in this particular order but an approximation) – to Eric’s house, various gas stations, outside the Bowling Alley and Blackjack (with Eric), the school, Eric’s house yet again and back to the school one last time and in a major rush as he was beginning to run late for NBK. Speeding so fast into the parking lot that he almost clipped the car of his old friend Chad Laughlin. Nope, there was nothing ‘straight’ about any of their planned destinations that day. It was all wonky from the get-go.
