How come they don’t have their bags with ammo and stuff when they come downstairs into the cafeteria

They did have their bags. See this informative post researched and put together by the dogged detective @interfectum600 showing Eric picking up his bag and taking it downstairs with him.  Keep in mind, the CCTV cameras are constantly cycling around from camera to camera so we don’t see them lugging the bag around and setting it on a table in linear order. We were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of their ammo bag in that one-momentary camera shot.

Not a question but I hope his family got back his ring :)

I think his family received his ring as well as his other personal items that he wore on his person. They are intrinsically ‘him’. Though, I should say that these items were never listed as received on a ‘Return to Owner’ form by his parents in the 11K. It’s odd but there’s a lot of inconsistencies as far as what is included in the report. So, that amounts to my hope, my wish, my feeling that they did get the ring back. 🙂

I have to disagree respectfully. Just because Dylan didn’t write down that he wanted to have sex doesn’t mean he didn’t WANT to. He didn’t write about kissing Devon on the head or anything about prom. Also if anything happened with Robyn or if Kristen T did peck him on the lips on their date I doubt they are going to say anything to the public. Why are some people so passionate about Dylan NEVER having kissed someone.. we know a tiny part of him. Not day to day life.

Anonymous said:Hi E-C, I do find a lot of people in the community have two extremes. Either Dylan was this secret hottie who had sex with Robyn on prom night (don’t agree with that, though Dylan was handsome) OR he ran away crying whenever a girl looked his way, which I don’t agree with either. I am in the minority who wouldn’t be surprised if Dylan had his first kiss. Not a full on makeout but a peck is not out of the realm of possibilities in my humble opinion…

I bet I know who this person is and their blog name begins with an M. 😉

Well, first off,  I didn’t say he didn’t want sex but that it was not a priority for him to have sex and certainly not the important thing to do that it was for Eric.  Sex would’ve been the natural progression of things after he’d fallen for someone and also, more importantly,, felt comfortable being around her enough to be authentically himself.  But his track record when it came to dating didn’t allow for him to get to the next level.  He was content to hold out for the right one. It was not important to ‘get laid’ first. Dylan was shy but also, he was uncomfortable with sexuality.: he had a compartmentalized relationship between the notion of ‘love’ and ‘lust’ which had not been integrated by intimate experience. This is in part why he writes about trying to abstain from masturbation and indulging in porn. . Also, Dylan didn’t really write about specific happenings in his journal so it’s not surprising that he didn’t mention anything about going to prom or what it was like when he went.  And his kissing Devon on top of the head was an impulsive affectionate friend thing to do. But I guess the same could be asked of you in return: why are you so passionate and certain that Dylan surely must have had a kiss or ‘peck on the lips’? Idk, It seems rather important for you to hold on to this belief?  Would it be too unbearable to know that he didn’t even get so much as that sort of limited connection with girl?

do you think dylan touched the muzzle of the TEC-9 to his temple or do you think he held it away? from what i’ve read, it is inconclusive (he held it close but we don’t know how close), but i always had a feeling that he touched it to his temple. what do you think?

Mm..well, he probably touched the metal to his head at first trying to position himself and decide how he was going to do the deed but ultimately when he shot himself, it was (very) close contact not contact. See here.

Why did Dylan’s parents loan his jacket to the exhibition if they were so against the public’s reaction

My posing Dylan’s parents possibly loaning of his trench coat (and/or his pants) was a speculative explanation and that’s only because the Klebold’s received his trench coat and other NBK clothing items back a year prior to the Littleton exhibition. So, his parents either loaning or giving over these items could be the only explanation for how it ended up in the exhibition display case. Otherwise, they never did hand any of it back to Jeffco and like I mentioned, the black items in the case may only be Eric’s belongings.

But to answer your question, the Klebold’s or the Harrises wouldn’t have any say over the public reaction as far as the exhibition. They couldn’t exactly stop the showcasing of the all the evidence and crime-related items that was linked to their son – though I’m sure they wished it wasn’t going to take place. But the cat was out of the bag and denying Jeffco anything for the exhibit would be kind of ridiculous. Quite a lot of their son’s items were on display including his personal school essays. If they handed over his crime clothing they may have just given them up and decided not to keep any of his NBK related items after an entire year of having them in their possession.

This is a song I wrote about Dylan||

it’s not finished but here’s this part. And before anyone starts saying I copied Nicole Dollanganger, I was in fact inspired by her to write this so yeah. Hope you enjoy! 🙂 ♡

Lyrics:

you could see it on his face
the second that you said
he would never find love
you could see the pain
but by then you knew he was dead
he never felt good enough
all he could think about was ending his life,
how bad he wanted to die…
he’s gone

he’d come home and cry and not understand why
he was such a no one
that’s when he decided
if nothing good will come my way
I might as well go out in a way
they will remember my name
…remember my name

chorus:
he grabs his gun
he’s on his way
to take some lives including his
you’d better run
he’s not okay
combat boots black
trench coat
backwards Red Sox hat
fight this war

end his pain

A perfect, precious little gem. 💔

I think it’s possible that their coats were different brands therefore made with different materials, possibly why they appear to sit differently when folded in the showcase. Also none of the clothing items seem to appear in the evidence index from the exhibit.

Well, that just goes to show that everyone has their own theory regarding this photo!  😉  I  tend to think the boys both purchased the same brand of coat myself (and got the brand from where other TCM members purchased). In any case, regardless of brand, Dylan’s Australian oilskin duster would’ve had more fabric due to the size so it would be bulkier and wouldn’t lay as flat folded up in that manner.

No, the RTO ‘Return to Owner’ clothing isn’t under the main evidence index. It can be found under Additional JCSO Pages>Evidence Volume 1 Extra Pages>011795A (yes, the 11K is awfully large and parts of it are bafflingly sorted non-linearly at times).  I posted the Klebold’s RTO of Dylan’s clothing items in this post.

If the Harrises didn’t sign the release form it basically means that the clothing that was collected from Eric’s body would’ve been cataloged only as collected evidence but there’d be no RTO form signed by Wayne or Kathy indicating they retrieved their son’s items.

Just to correct you on a couple things I read on your Tumblr. Probably doesn’t matter because the posts were so old but here goes anyway. First Fly and Arlene were not boyfriend and girlfriend. They were best friends. I’ve read the books, so I know this. Second the photo that you show claiming the 2004 exhibit shows “Dylan’s” duster with the rust colored tag. That’s actually Eric’s duster. The black clothing item on the right of the examination box are Dylan’s cargo pants.

That’s a four-year-old post to which I had added an addendum at the bottom of it mentioning that it was just my initial speculation  I have the pdfs of the DOOM series but haven’t gotten around to reading those just yet. So, thanks for the clarification. Should have assumed that the boys coveted a series that wouldn’t tread in the murky territory of ‘more than just friends’ relationships. lol

As for the 2004 exhibit case, it’s honestly difficult to tell for certain because those black blobs don’t reveal much detail even when I’ve jacked up the contrast to try and make a better determination. However, to me,  the coat on the left definitely looks much thicker/puffier all folded up –  therefore, it seems larger and also why I assume it to be Dylan’s larger duster.  Whats more, the items in the case are a mix of both boys’ belongings: it doesn’t just have all of Eric stuff divided up on one side and Dylan’s on the other. In examing the photo more closely, the black blob on the right does appear to look somewhat physically flatter in comparison to the coat on the left.  I’d be willing to concede to your belief that the black blob on the right may be pants, perhaps Dylan’s cargo pants, based on the fact that Dylan’s trenchcoat was returned to his parents prior to the Feb 2004 exhibit, specifically one year prior, on Feb 20, 2003.  But the only thing is, Dylan’s cargo pants were also on the list of items returned to Dylan’s parents in 2003.  This means it’s one of a few different scenarios: 1) Dylan’s parents loaned/gave Jeffco Dylan’s trenchcoat for the exhibit and that both Dylan and Eric’s trenchcoats are on display as most have assumed over the years. Which coat belonged to which boy is debatable because we can really make a truly accurate determination based on the photo ( though I say Dylan/left and Eric/right in this scenario) 2) In accordance to your belief, Eric’s coat is on the left and Dylan’s cargo pants are on the right -again, assuming the Klebolds loaned or gave it to Jeffco for the exhibit – or lastly, –  3) Eric’s trenchcoat is on the left and Eric’s BDUs are on the right.  This seems to be fairly plausible option (out of all of them) because to my knowledge, there is no RTO record of the Harrises receiving their son’s NBK clothing back as the Klebolds did. Unless someone can find that to rule it out?  But I don’t think I’ve ever seen a list of Eric’s clothing items return to his parents.  Thanks for pointing out the possibility that these could be pants and not at all a  duster/trench coat.

Why did they give up the napalm idea so late into planning

Most of the test batches were too unstable and a complete flop. It wasn’t worth the risk taking a sketchy experiment with them when they were already loaded down with so much ammo and explosives. Additionally, it was a volatile substance and too unpredictable to be carried around on them. I think they planned for it in their gear sketches but decided to chuck the idea at the last minute.
