The school is situated on a sloping hill.  The two entered the south-west entrance into the school which was on the same upper level as the library.  When they entered the school from the south-west doors, they could easily turn right and walk down the hallway to the library. The Commons cafeteria was on the lower level directly under the library. Not at all a dumb question.  Thankss for the ask! ❤

Well, the thing is, we need to remember that ‘the one’ was more than one girl over a period of time in his journal and at a certain point even, Dylan laments he does not know who The One could be.  Tobin was one possibility, of a few girls, that Dylan crushed on at various points as his potential/possible One True Love.  The one thing we do know is that Tobin Kennedy obviously does not fit Dylan’s 10 letter acrostic.

What keeps me interested is the strong core feelings about it for me on a deeply personal level.  And even in knowing as much as I do, the answers always in turn make more questions and there is still so much more to surface. All I can say to you is, if you’re bored, take a break.  If it holds a deeper meaning for you, you’ll eventually be back.  If not? I feel as though he didn’t know what to say to Tobin turning him down, and like, he had to say something because not saying anything at all would be super awkward.  So, out popped a statement that lamely gave the impression that he would continue to pursue asking her out again. Perhaps he was trying to pull an Eric with the persistence but the ‘maybe’ came off very passive aggressive and made him seem uncertain and underconfident about ever seriously entertaining that again.. I don’t think he stewed but instead, internalized it, feeling like a despondent loser. 

Uh, what do you mean exactly when you say ‘struggles’ ? 

I don’t know, we’ll see if I try that again..  If I do close my message box, I won’t be announcing each time that I do it.  That would be just nuts.  So I hope there isn’t any confusion if and when I decide to close my box for a bit.  It sounds good in theory but all I know is It didn’t work very well the last time I tried this.  And, already, I’ve got quite a few Qs.. 

The Harrises are a Military family and so their priorities are skewed.  What their family does or does not do is dictated by the patriarchal head of the household and the wife and son fall in rank to his wishes. They will all remain calm and silent and keep the family skeletons in the closet and the cards close to their chest to spare the family name further humiliation and upset.  They will continue to keep a safe distance from the public and to push the past far behind them, to be resilient and strong, in order to move on. They do not wish to look deeply within themselves as to why their son had acted out the way he did.  One could hope that after Wayne passes on that Kathy or Kevin might feel safe to finally open up. On the other hand, they may also be adamant about maintaining the wishes of Wayne’s will. 

I’d don’t think Dylan exploited and used Robyn because he consciously, specifically sensed her attraction of him.  It’s more like Dylan used his close friend Robyn just as he he used other friends as a way to realize NBK. The timing was perfect though in relation to Robyn being the perfect close friend to enlist for some seemingly innocent help: Robyn had just turned 18 on November 4th and the gun show took place soon after that on a weekend.  It was an opportunity that Dylan and Eric saw as the best means of achieving weapons and under the radar of the system and using Robyn’s status ‘of age’ as well as not knowing anything about guns to even suspect in the slightest that they might be purchasing them for malicious intent.   And p.s.
