Hi, I’m in the process of writing a columbine fan fiction like the disgusting human being that I am; and I was wondering if you could list some random facts and maybe point out a few of Eric and Dylan’s mannerisms? I want to capture their essence the best way possible and create a realistic experience for my readers. 😬

My suggestion to you as a writer in the driver’s seat, is to do your own research and study the boys’ mannerisms – because ultimately, your writing is based on your own interpretation of the two dudes in connection with your story line.

Here are several reference links for you to begin your research.

Good luck and feel free to post your fanfiction on the tag! 🙂

Odd question, but how do you think Dylan would react to a girl staying in his house for a week or two? Someone he wouldn’t know, but an old friend of his parents’ daughter or something like that. She’d be Australian. I like to run Dylan scenarios through my head to pass the time XD

I think he’d be very shy and reticent in her company. Dyl would probably make himself scarce and on the occasions where’d he’d be forced to interact, he’d be respectfully quiet and observant in her company. Shy grins if she attempted to engage him in conversation but kudos to her if she initiated conversation and mentioned music or films in relation to Australia as oppose to the US because then he may forget himself and be forthcoming in volunteering an opinion. 🙂

if you could write a letter to any killer (dead or alive) who would it be and why? answer this and then forward it (anon or not) to two blogs you really like! ☁️☁️☁️

Gee, guess who. 😉 Because he is fascinating, complex, enigmatic, nebulous, philosophical, brilliant, (tragic) romantic, old fashioned, intangible, spiritual, goofy, imperfect, timorous, elusive, a chameleon, smoke and mirrors.

I forward it to: thedragonrampant
and h4le-bopp

Ik you’re more into dylan, but do you know by chance what music Eric, or them both, listened to?

Dylan liked The Chemical Brothers, NIN, Smashing Pumpkins, DJ Spooky, Dr. Octagon, FSOL (Future Sound of London), Orbital, White Zombie, Spacetime Continuum, Renegade Soundwave, Phantom Planet, Autechre, Ceiba, Prana, Marilyn Manson (sort of a guilty pleasure), Atari Teenage Riot, Alice in Chains

Dylan and Eric both shared a liking for KMFDM and Rammstein.

Everlasting-contrast, no columbiner can deny that you are obviously the wisest among us all! There is a question I posted on my blog because pictures were involved and I could not ask you or anyone directly through ask or fan mail if you could check it out that’d be awesome!!

Weeelll, I don’t know about being ‘the wisest’ but very flattering for you to say. Thank you! 🙂

In reference to your post

The first image you posted is of Dylan’s heart with his triple-barred cross drawn as four simple intersecting lines within the middle of it, representing the sturggle within his heart. The barbed arrows are pointing sharply outward in every direction from the heart representing his sense of how he feels he is eternally suffering in infinite directions and in infinite realities.

The second image is of Dylan’s reoccurring motif of repetitive hearts and his reaffirming declaration of “I love you” to the unknown girl of his dreams.

The last two are the ubiquitous triple-barred cross. I go into a bit of detail in the link regarding the evolution of this cross (as with your third image) and the spiritual symbolism representing Dylan’s eternal, dichotomous struggle/battle within humanity otherwise known as The Everlasting Contrast.

Hope that helps. 🙂

Searching for info on Dylan having avoidant personality disorder, I found a personality profile of him which I think is accurate about many things. You can find it googling for “Dylan Klebold USPP profile”.

Thanks for pointing me to this! Dylan’s USPP Psych Profile

I also agree with the Secondary Pattern: Negativistic – which is spot-on – formerly known as passive-aggressive disorder – and it works hand-in-hand with AvPD. However, I disagree with Additional Traits: Schizotypal (Decompensated Avoidant) – which is also Peter Langman’s assessment (Author of Why Kids Kill). While I agreed that Dylan was to a certain extent detached, I don’t see him as far off base as chaotic, disorganized, fragmented and out-of-touch with reality as a schizotypal tends towards. Eccentric behavior such as dressing in a personal day-to-day uniform was not out of the norm from his peers. And, well, what teenager doesn’t try to be individualistic in dress? I mean, c’mon! Dylan wore a trenchcoat and sunglasses – the same as his friends. He did not entirely withdraw from friendships or social activities; he maintained friendships and put himself out there socially as best he could. As for magical thinking, his use of it was in a manner where he was not delusional and detached from reality but instead expressed in fantasy form only to himself within his journal and was a coping mechanism to dull the pain of his depressive reality. There’s no indication, to me anyway, that he had bodily illusions, odd beliefs, peculiar suspicions, and cognitive blurring that interpenetrates reality with fantasy.

I mentioned in two previous posts that I believe Dylan had Avoidant Personality Disorder or AvPD: here and here

So Dyl had Libra rising in his birthchart?

Yes, Dylan’s Rising sign was Libra plus he had five signs in Libra: Venus, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto. He was a bit of an air head. 😉 The abundance of air in his chart denotes a lot of mental, intellectual activity. This is why he had those ‘El Thoughtzos’ and could not stop ruminanting and living inside of his head 24/7. . Because Libra has attributes that are harmonious, flexible and easy going, Dylan was able to make and keep friendships without strife or upset. When Eric and Brooks were feuding, Dylan managed to stay out of it and maintain both friendships. His mother referred to Dylan as having a good quality of being malleable – you could reason with him and almost always get him to change his mind.

If Dylan didn’t choke on his own blood and somehow survived his gunshot wound, what brain damage do you think he would have?

Severe to brain dead. A primary part of Dylan death was the actual gunshot wound which exited his skull on the other side of his head. After that occured it started the secondary result of blood flooding his airways and without the brain functioning properly, the rest of his involuntary vitals could not sustain properly. The respiratory system couldn’t regulate oxygen properly, on top of that fact that it was being flooded by blood, and also his heart couldn’t maintain pumping on it’s own. It was a system failure shotdown as a result of the gunshot wound. When Patrick Ireland overheard some male voice coughing, Dylan was not in a present state-of-mind voluntarily coughing up blood. It was Dylan’s body’s feeble, involuntary body response to purge blood from it’s airways almost like one last strangled gasp for air. A death rattle cough. See autopsy report findings here as for the two contributing factors of his death.
