What were you like when you were 17?

Tall, skinny, shy and awkward af with radical clothes and hair that declared I was so much more than my apparent personality.   You know, kind of like Dylan wearing a “floor length” (per Sue) leather coat but then freaking out that other kids were making fun of him as some sort of freak while at McDonald’s. When you get the attention you seek out in dress well then what the heck do you do with it?  lol I hung out with the art group and various and sundry other outcasts. I was an artist and I also liked history class. Senior year was the only good year because it meant I was getting out of prison.

Hei miss E-C. Every time I feel like I’m in the downwardspiral again I visit you. And I see that I’m not alone. THX :-* Dylan is a spritual soulmate for all of us, we stay alive until we meet in the afterlive (I hope there is one). And sorry for the bad english, not my native language…

Hii you. You’re very sweet 🙂 I’m pleased that your visiting E-C transforms your downward spiral right side up again. 🙂   We’re all here together connected on this resonant spiritual journey alongside Mr. Dylan.<3  And btw, your English was perfect. I understood you crystal clear. xx

Not trying to be rude but what video are we talking about some girls driving past sue Klebold? Can you at least explain it? If you can’t link it? I thought this blog was for information purposes. Unless the video is “too far”???

This blog is informational, yes, but what you’re asking for is not. What you’re requesting amounts to just epic Columbiner shenanigans at it’s worst, basically. Like, we’re talking second-hand embarrassment. Send me a private ask and I’ll toss you the link. But I don’t plan to revisit this and sure as hell don’t plan on posting that here as it isn’t the slightest bit .enlightening. lol

Is there any online chats with Sarah and Dylan? Or something I can read so I can know more about what happened? Any links? Thanks :)

Nope, Dylan wiped his hard drive, remember?  Any of his chat convos that he maybe might have saved were deleted in the blink of an eye along with everything else.  Even if the servers of any chat utility or community service such as AOL had saved such data I doubt they’d be pulling anything a couple of years prior to the event.  And even if they hypothetically did, nothing was ever released perhaps because it wasn’t particularly relative to the case. and you’re welcome. 🙂

Both Sue and Devon described Dylan as a great listener but he never really opened up about himself. Yet, he did seem to test the waters with Sarah Slater. Was that due to the safety of talking online vs in person or was there something about her in particular that he felt safe to vocalize his feelings? Have a great weekend, btw!

You hit the nail on the head that it may have been because Dylan was communicating online rather than in person. I would agree with what you posed: emailing or texting in instant message allows for a shy person such himself to express and open up in ways that are less whelming and intimidating. Think of it sort of like someone pouring their guts while at Catholic church confession and they’re talking to someone that cannot be physically seen but all the while they have the full attention of that confidant.  In this way, he could be himself more freely or even a better version of himself trying to impress girls.  According to Sarah, she’d suspected that Dylan also may have been drinking too while chatting with her online.

Hey miss E-C! Love ya, sorry if this has been asked. But if the boys had said to one of their friends about it to get the ‘go ahead’ which of their friends do you think would support their decision the most or ty to influence them? Personally I’d say Chris, but I’ll let our prestigious queen answer it. Infinite thanks!

Mm..probably Robert Perry. Not an inner circle friend but a friend who was also marginalized and harrassed in the school and he either dropped out or was suspended. I forget which offhand at the moment.

Not Chris because he was vested in his steady girlfriend by that point in time. Eric had tried to somewhat recruit Zack and Chris by saying certain things to them individually to sort of test them to see if they’d ‘bite’ and express a mutual interest in their destructive plans but neither did.

‘prestigious queen’ ?  uuh, where?  who?  *looks behind me*   Infinitely welcome. 🙂

I’m wondering, you answer all your asks or just ignore the ones which are too annoying/lame/hateful etc. Have a nice day, I like your blog. It’s quite professional.

Well, right now I have 180 asks in my inbox and unfortunately, only so much time.  So, I tend to answer randomly, going with whatever strikes my mood or my IRL time constraints.  And with the quantity I get, I do tend to weed out the annoying/lame/redundant ones, yess…… Especially the ‘what would the boys like/do/say’ fanfic-y relationship Qs or the infamously ubiquitous ‘did they like Nirvana?’ *grates*

Thank you! Glad you approve. You have yourself a nice day too. 🙂

Hi! This might be a stupid question but English is not my first language so I’m a bit unsure… In his hate list, Dylan mentions “The fpg WB” and I have no idea what that means? I guessed WB might stand for the Warner Bros channel Eric also hated, but for fpg the most relevant hit was ‘first period gym’ (??), which sounds reasonable, but the way these two are put together (‘the fpg WB’) suggests that they are one single phrase and not two separate items?

In studying this a bit more closely, I tend to think that he added ‘fpg’ as an afterthought not related to ‘The WB’ underneath it but in reference to the above, ‘faggots at work’ – + yes, you guessed it: fpg or first period gym class. Apparently, not just faggots only at work but also in fpg.  Then again, it’s possible he simply hated fpg as a stand alone – with no reference to the above or below. Difficult to decide with the Dyl scrawl font ™.  And hmm..while we’re on it: I’m just dying to know who that redacted faggot at work was. 😉

The National Enquirer ships Dylan and Eric pass it on

[my commentary in italics bc i don’t know when to shut up and also this is peak comedy from the print media]

Gay secret that pushed them over the edge

Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold unleashed the full fury of their murderous rage after a group of girls accused them of being gay lovers.

(Inset: Taunts by girls & jocks set them on road to evil)

Pushed to the edge by school athletes who shoved them around and called them “faggots”, the two outsiders finally snapped from this final humiliation.
The girls taunted Eric and Dylan in the school library—the exact area where the two enraged gunmen returned to mow down most of their victims.
"There was an incident a year ago that set Eric and Dylan off on their murderous course,“ a fellow student divulged to The ENQUIRER.

HAHAHAHA OH GOD HERE WE GO

"They were sitting in the library wearing their ridiculous heavy black coats on a warm spring day last April.

Alright first of all they’re called dusters sweaty :)). Secondly, funny how this supposedly took place in April of all months.

A group of girls was sniggering at the table next to them, and Eric finally asked what they were laughing about.

The girls were sniggering at a table? Or were the girls at the table next to them sniggering? Either way go Eric #nofear

"One of them told him, ‘You guys look alike, talk alike, and are always together.

They looked alike??? Esp. in junior year uhh I don’t think so….Also wow!!! Best friends spending time together!!! Must be homos!!!

We just want to know when you’re getting married.’

And Eric said “yo V is it the 19th or the 20th” and Dylan was like “the 20th Reb” and they invited the girls sniggering at the table to their wedding and everyone lived happily ever after.

“A look of rage came over Eric’s face and he made a fist at the girl. ‘Shut up,’ he shouted.

He made a fist. How threatening.

"Dylan got up and screamed, ‘you’re all so stupid! Everyone in this school is stupid! You better watch it!’

Whoa Dylan must have been a lot more dramatically confrontational than I remember…are you sure we’re talking about the same guy here? Dylan would have never done that he would’ve gone home and cried about it in his journal…or not seeing as they’re apparently ~confirmed LoVeRs~

"They both stormed out of the library, kicking chairs as they went.

…drama queens

"The girls were stunned—they were only teasing the guys. It was no big deal to them.

it was nO BIG DEAL TO THEM IT WAS NO BIG DEAL TO THEM IT WAS N O BIG FREKAIGNG DEAL TO THE BULLIES also i thought they were sniggering at the table not the guys

"The boys vowed the school was going to pay for the humiliation they put them through. And when the bloodbath happened, we wondered if they attacked people in the library with special ferocity because of the humiliation they had suffered there.”

this seems oddly put-together for a supposedly recalled memory

True to their word, Eric and Dylan began plotting their strategy for the attack after being embarrassed by the girls.

girls idk how to break this to you but D&E couldn’t give less of a shit about you

It took them a year to prepare and build their arsenal.

 Fellow student Joe Stair,

here we go please don’t let me down Joe

who hung out with Dylan and Eric, revealed, “The jocks continually taunted us. They called us faggots and they teased us. They would see one of us walking down the hall and pushed that student against the lockers.”

the only truth in this story so far tbh

Eric and Dylan neither forgave nor forgot.
“Eric went through his yearbook—marking kids for life or death in the rampage to come,” disclosed an inside source. “He and Dylan decided to ‘save’ a few—and marked their pictures with ‘save.’ Others had ‘dead’ or ‘dying’ scrawled above their pictures.”

…yeah that never happened either. also “inside source” tf kind of inside source if this wasn’t crappy fan-fiction that would be the kind of “inside knowledge” that would implicate you as a suspect & get you arrested. fun times as a inside source for the National Enquirer

As horrible as the tragedy was, it could have been a lot worse. Revealed local sheriff John Stone:

HAAHAHA YEAH BECAUSE ANYTHING THAT COMES OUT OF THIS GUY’S MOUTH IS TRUSTWORTHY

“They planned to kill at least 500 people.”

…you included.

Well that was fun. Conclusion: Dylan’s hatred for The Enquirer is well-justified.

Allegedly true according to a well-known American news rag staple that is not a very reputable source. Love the bloggers running commentary in italics tho.

Know what I hate? enquirer mags !

why didn’t eric/dylan ever fight back?

Well, they kinda did. At least, they believed they were having the last word.  Unfortunately, they didn’t live to relish any of it.. So, kinda worthless.

But to answer you in more of a literal sense, the boys did try to fight back at certain points while in high school, each in their own way.  But they, and the outcasts, were up against the jock hierarchy which was favored in the school.  At one point Dylan very badly wanted to have a showdown between the outcasts/TCM with a bunch of freshman jocks. He believed this would solve the problem and put a stop to the harassment the two were encountering. But Dylan’s parents were dead-set against his idea. Nonetheless, unbeknownst to Sue and Tom, the boys and some of their friends waited at the designated spot but they were stood up by the jocks. There were certainly scuffles here and there. On a few occasions, when the boys got pushed, they’d push back and it ended up becoming a power struggle. Near the last few months, Eric picked verbal fights with some jocks and expected Chris Morris to help back him.. which didn’t go to well as Chris didn’t appreciate having to bail out tiny Rebby all the time. In the last days, Dylan got into a fight with a jock and it appears to have become physical or close to it. Dylan was ‘going crazy’ according to eyewitnesses.  So, they did try, you see, but they never got the satisfaction of asserting their power and taking it back from those, they felt, were causing them grief.  They never reached a point of feeling empowered with their perceived enemies. Furthermore, they saw the teachers at CHS either turn a blind eye or give preference to the prized jocks.  This infuriated Eric and Dylan even further. So, they never really got the pleasure or satisfaction to settle a score verbally or physically or to feel like they made their voice heard – instead, they were just either picked on, ignored or undermined.  And that unresolved anger has to go somewhere or be worked through. But their frustration continued to build and the unresolved tension mounted and eventually it was channeled into their morbidly planned revenge known as ‘NBK’. In having that plan in place, in having something to work towards over many months with this destructive long-term goal, they could get by each day knowing they would eventuallyfinally, have the sense of feeling all-powerful and on top of the food chain for once in their lives at that school.  They would have the ‘last word’ on literally everyone at their school..as I said above.  The price for revenge?  Their own deaths in exchange.  Not too terribly satisfying ultimately – but that’s how desperate, downtrodden and depressed they were. In the end though, the majority of society likes to just chalk it up to the two taking the cowards way out.
