I was going through my instagram feed and this one tcc account I follow had the un-redacted version of this document which stated Dylan and eric’s phone numbers and addresses. I know its wrong but I called Dylan number anyway and it rang, then it said something like “you have reached a number that does not accept solicitations” then it said press 1 to continue so I did and then their was a male voice stating the that you have reached (phone #). I wonder if it was Byron?

(pt.2 of Dylan’s phone number) Then I looked online and found out that the location of the phone number is from Littleton, CO. I don’t know what to make of all this. What are your thoughts? 🙂

My Thoughts are that I cannot believe you did such a thing all the while claiming “I know its wrong but I called Dylan number anyway”.  Well, if you knew it was “wrong” then why did you?   Honestly, wtf is with you. What you did is intrusive and you did it for no good reasons whatsoever except for motivations out of your own self-serving curiosity.  The Klebolds have had far too many nosy, creepy strangers phoning them for no good reason over the years and congrats for adding yourself to that list.  My thoughts are that It’s honestly beyond me how you could be so oblivious to why they have such a filtering system on their voicemail in the first place. It’s because of people like you.  It’s not your job to suss this out.  Leave these poor people alone and let them have their privacy.   Have a modicum of self control and respect.

And that goes for anyone else that is itching to dial their unredacted number. Just stop it.

This is Sue Klebold and Coni Sanders (daughter of Dave Sanders.) The January magazine of National Geographic had this small section of her in their article “The Science of Good & Evil.” Not sure if you were aware of this or have seen the picture but if you have I apologize for repeating the information.

——————————

Thank you for letting me know about this utterly heartwrenching photo/article.
It truly brought tears to my eyes!   The totality of this image is painful yet beautiful, all in one. It’s such a true representation of Healing in the purest sense of the word. Here huddled together are two victims, once on seemingly opposing sides, now joined together in empathy, understanding, and compassion.  Their loss is the same; they are connected and bound by this tragedy.   Now, two years on since Sue’s book released, everything has come full circle and is now in the process of imperfect mending thru the passage of time.

“Bad things become good” ..again.

The full excerpt from the National Geographic article entitled “The Science of Good and Evil” reads:

SUE KLEBOLD AND CONI SANDERS
Sharing sorrow:
Klebold (at left) is the mother of Dylan Klebold, one of two teenagers who carried out the 1999 shooting at Colorado’s Columbine High School. Klebold wrote about her experience in A Mother’s Reckoning and donates any profits to mental health charities. She has become a mother figure to Sanders (at right), whose father was killed in the massacre. For years Sanders was angry with Klebold for raising a son who became a killer. But her struggle to raise her own teenagers helped her understand Klebold. “If anyone’s pain is greater than my own, it’s hers,” she says. The women, here at a memorial for the victims in Olinger Chapel Hill Cemetery, now share a strong bond.

High res image

I just watched the video of you in columbine walking around called “the fallen ascends?” And noticed where you said “the gods were here” was the library on top of the cafeteria area upstairs? And now it’s just clear glass showing building interiors? And there’s nothing there now? Or is the library cemented in? I was confused sorry can you please tell me at what seconds they were where the library was specifically? I’m confused a little thank you

I think you mean to say that one of the subtitles in my video read “the doors were here”.  lol   So, essentially, the library was made into an open atrium with artwork hung from the ceiling and it is directly above the cafeteria. This video shows what it looks like now.

Why do u think E and D did go into the school shooting people after the bombs failed detonating? Like they could build new bombs (would be hard and expensive but well) and go ‘NBK’ another day you know

I think they had everything riding on that day it was just like now or never, carp diem!  If they retreated, regrouped and rescheduled for another day, they’d lose the momentum and inertia with all the mental and emotional energy they’d built up on 4/20 being their last day on earth.  From a logical standpoint, they had set the diversion bomb in the field a distance from the school as well as the propane bombs set to go off in their cars. They were banking on all of those to work even if the cafeteria bombs failed to detonate when they timed them.  So, their cars had two large set propane bombs and discarded ammo, gasoline tanks, molotovs, etc. littered inside of them  Driving home with all of that suspect shit to rehide once they got back home would’ve been problematic to manage.  Everything was just hinged on it being that day so even if their pièce de résistance had failed to start the whole thing off with a bang! in the cafeteria, they spur-of-the-moment decided to execute an improvised plan of attack. Within the hour, NBK morphed into a garden variety school shooting, akin to other small potato ones that had already occurred in the 90s, and it was the exact opposite of what they had gloriously, diabolically envisioned of what would make theirs stand out as the worst ever.

The funniest thing happened to me today. Someone asked me which my favourite blogs are, and since I have answered that quite a few times, I told them to look for the answer in my search engine. However, I first wrote, “type favorite blogs in my E-C search”, and then I had to go back and correct it. I am so used to you having to say that because people never do it that it stuck in my head, haha :)

Haha. I love it!  I do believe in all my ranting about that damnable search. Hope you’re doing well and that life is treating you well this new year. ❤

hi I was wondering where I should start when just getting into columbine? I wanna learn everything I can about the boys

I’d say, your very first stop should be to review acolumbinesite.com and The Victims and Shooters section. Get yourself familiarized with the boys’ journals. The site is a good, overall, essential resource for people that are new to the case. If that site piques your curiosity, I’d also highly recommend checking out these three fine books: No Easy Answers by Brooks Brown, Columbine: A True Crime Story by Jeff Kass, and A Mother’s Reckoning by Sue Klebold. From there, you’ll probably be too far gone down the rabbit hole. haha.  Hope that helps. 🙂

Since Dylan was depressed, and Sue did not allow any firearms in the house. Do you think if she had kept firearms in the house Dylan would of killed himself early on? (Wayyyy Before NBK was even a thought in their minds!!) or do you think Dylan wouldn’t have? Why/why not?

He might’ve worked up the nerve to just cut to the chase and end his life while in a particularly dark and desperate mood.  After all, he did ask his mom to buy him a gun as a Christmas present (though not at all really expecting she’d say yes). It’s hard to say if he was hoping to have that gifted gun to commit suicide or rather as a solution to obtain firearms for NBK with Eric.  We do know that he held on to the guns he purchased specifically for NBK and it seems as though he had committed to the plans with Eric- even though he was personally still suffering infinitely (as evinced in his writings). So, he appeared to hold out and not use his weapons on himself but rather to wait to commit suicide with his best friend at the proper place and time they designated. I think pre NBK planning (prior to ‘98), had his family kept firearms in the house, Dylan might’ve toyed with cutting his life short. We just don’t know whether he would’ve worked up the courage to do it on his own at an earlier point in time. I think Dylan sort of devolved and deteriorated from sophomore to senior year through various circumstances and he finally reached a point where he’d fully prepared himself to be super desperate enough to leave this place –  but NBK was the way to trap himself within the school so he could never back out of it.  Killing himself alongside his close friend would make it a much easier thing to do.

I think when brooks said something along the lines of Eric separating all Dylan close friends from Dylan was Eric way of keeping Dylan to himself because Eric was a kid who moved around a lot and he lose lots of friends so he was determined to keep Dylan himself no matter what. Am I right or wrong?

It’s a plausible unconscious reason.  According to Eric’s recollections of his past, he always seemed to have one best friend above the rest, and he lost every one of them upon moving so his choosing Dylan to fill those shoes seems to be a reoccurring motif of ‘it’s just us two against the world’.  At this point in high school, it would be as if he was protecting and holding on to what he considered his one and only best friend -within his insecurity of the threatening climate at Columbine – and at the expense of losing other friendships that weren’t as loyal in his eyes.

Who was the girl who gave Eric “ girl advice “? The advice BOTH of them needed was to not sound so desperate there’s nothing worst than a guy asking you out multiple times

I seem to recall that was Kristi Epling that imparted girl advice to Eric (but maybe it was Kim Carlin, I’d have to check).  Tbh, only he needed such advice since all the times Dylan ever asked chicks out you could count on one hand (er, ah, and less than five fingers).

What was the broken glass display in the bottom left corner of? Was it a school project or something related to the shooting (cos that would add to the eerie feeling i get looking at that photo you took)

The broken glass was a school safety display as part of the conference that I attended there. I don’t recall specifically what it was but maybe another photo from all the ones I took would reveal that.  Yeah, I know.. still eerie as seen in that snap I took from Eric’s pov. lol

I’m wondering if Devon ever spoke to Dylan about Eric’s threats against her? If so, I️ wonder what he said/did?

That’s certainly a good question. I’d speculate that since Devon confided in Dylan that she may have been vocal about his friend but that Dylan mostly silently listened to her complaints and likely just responded with a non-committal sort of  ‘yeah, well, you know, that’s just Eric.’ basically advising her to just take Eric blowing off steam with a grain of salt.  Unfortunately, we don’t have any information from Devon about this though.

Do you think sue ever googles, or searches for dylans name on youtube just to hear his voice again, or see him again???

No, I don’t think so.  Remember, Sue has a fair amount of private family videos and photos of her own for the moments when she craves hearing and seeing her son..and without having to tread on youtube where she’d be exposed to all the strange, obsessed and nasty public commentary. Besides of which, the majority of the videos on youtube are of him play acting in video productions and not the real Dylan as in her candid home vids.
