i love sue’s book but it’s obviously biased. she tried to shift more of the blame to eric which is wrong because they were equal partners in the shooting

She shifted the blame because the psychological “experts” and authors that she consulted with about her son suggested as such.  I also do not think Sue intentionally, on purpose, shifted blame. As a mother, her youngest son will always be an Achilles Heel in her love and grief for him.  It will forever be difficult for her to reconcile the boy she knew and loved for seventeen years with what he’d done in the last 50 min of his life.  She tries to remain unbiased but when the experts tell her that Eric had psychopathic traits and/or was the leader, it’s hard for her not to succumb to their sway if only to make things

infinitesimal

easier to swallow in regards to what Dylan did and how she feel about him in the grand scheme of things. Any mother would instinctively wear blinders if only to soften the blow for themselves because they are responsible for their own child in which they created.  We honestly cannot fault this mother for not seeing too clearly..    She is the mother of a son who ended up a killer that took his own life.  So, obviously, yes, it’s biased.

Wear her shoes and you’d not be so inclined to judge.

Dylan giving tips in dealing with radioactive clothing, “If they ambush you, keep your eyes open, keep your fucking fingers on the triggers, and shoot anything that moves that’s made of… clothes.”

Dylan wanted happiness but in what form exactly? A well mind, a relationship, to move away?

Happiness is a mind that isn’t over burdened by too much thought, worry, and hyper self awareness about everything.  To Dylan, those that seemed to be more intellectually ignorant easily achieved a state of ‘happiness’ because they were unaware, seemed to have no worry or concerns and weren’t constantly ruminating on everything as his gifted brain did.  I personally belief that Dylan’s giftedness is a crucial component to his depression. I  wish that Sue would see and acknowledge if but it’s as if she hasn’t put two and two together at this point with the circumstances of his depression.  Because his mind advanced quicker at a much earlier age than his peers, he reached a point of maxing out with thirst for knowledge and he then knew it all – or at least, had a better grasp intellectually and academically of most things than his peers.  And so began early-onset existential depression in his teens. He had a thirst for learning as a child and now he was going ‘so this is it? what’s the point? everything seems pointless and I don’t fit in here.’  And this made him feel astranged, lonely and forever sad.  I do think that traveling around the country or the world would’ve helped him to get out of living inside the prison of his advanced brain that craved much more simulation than average peers his age. He also felt having a girlfriend would’ve equated happiness because it meant that he actually mattered to someone else as he would have someone to love him, accept him for who he was and validate his existence here.

What do you think Dylan’s love language would have been?

I’d say it’s a toss up between Physical Touch and Words of Affirmation.

1) Physical Touch: This language isn’t all about the bedroom. A person whose primary language is Physical Touch is, not surprisingly, very touchy. Hugs, pats on the back, holding hands, and thoughtful touches on the arm, shoulder, or face—they can all be ways to show excitement, concern, care, and love. Physical presence and accessibility are crucial, while neglect or abuse can be unforgivable and destructive.

Appropriate and timely touches communicate warmth, safety, and love to you.

2) Words of Affirmation: Actions don’t always speak louder than words. If this is your love language, unsolicited compliments mean the world to you. Hearing the words, “I love you,” or even receiving love notes, are important—hearing the reasons behind that love sends your spirits skyward. Insults can leave you shattered and are not easily forgotten.

You thrive on hearing kind and encouraging words that build you up.

The other three Love Languages are: Quality Time, Acts of Service and Receiving Gifts

I WILL BE CENSORED AFTER DEC 14TH

Good, I’ve got your attention. I’ve heard about this net neutrality bullshit returning. I fought it when it started popping up a few years ago, and I’m going to fight it again. Guys, it’s BACK AGAIN and even worse theres a big chance it will END UP PASSING!

This could literally mean a shit ton of you wont be able to see me anymore if your provider decides that they want to regulate/censor, sayyy overly sexual content. You’ll also have to pay extra money to even use Tumblr!

https://www.battleforthenet.com/#bftn-action-form

Please guys, we defeated this shit once, we can do it again. They’re trying to do it now while people are distracted by the holidays and fucking Justice League. As of today, it seems as though there have only been 266,810 calls made to Congress. This is NOT good enough!! MILLIONS of people use the net, and if each one of them took 60 seconds to call and protect it, holy balls do you KNOW how much of a difference that would make??? But noooo, you’re busy streaming an ecchi anime that wont be available to you soon!!!!!

Heres a direct link to make a difference (theres also links to other sites of the same nature on here), and yes, YOU can make a fucking difference because this is YOUR internet at stake hereIf you’re not going to make the call, share this and maybe SOMEONE fucking will!! This is important as shit and we cant afford to lose. Dec 14th is the deadline.

I know this doesn’t sound important but….

The reason they started this again is because… the timing.

Coincidence? I think NOT.

Everyone is so obsessed with something else, The FCC are manipulating us.

I seriously don’t want to give up Tumblr and YouTube all together because of this crap..

😥

They’re deleting it every 20 hours too, don’t stop rebloging this!

Dylan’s techno fixation

“He seeks knowledge of the unthinkable, of the indefinable, of the unknown. He explores the everything… using his mind, the most powerful tool known to him. Yet, the more he thinks, hoping to find answers to his questions, the more come up.

After this so-called “lecture” the common man feels confused, empty, & unaware. Yet those are the best emotions of a ponderer. The real difference is, a true ponderer will explore these emotions & what caused them.

Questions make answers, answers conceive questions, and at long last he is content “

“I will never stop wondering.”

“The important thing is to not stop questioning. Never lose a holy curiosity.
Don’t stop to marvel.”

“Question everything. Learn something. Answer nothing.”

                   – Euripides

“The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing.”

“I only know that I know nothing”

“I know that I am intelligent, because I know that I know nothing.”

I’ve asked you so many questions over the years and yeah I just want to say sorry if I get annoying. Something about the way you explain things about this case sparks questions. You are definitely the best Dylan related blog on here. Of course we will all stop using Tumblr one day,and you’ll forget ever reading this comment but I just want you to know I appreciate you, and understand the feeling of wanting to leave Tumblr

As with everything in life, we will all move on eventually, when it is time..and yes, the popularity of Tumblr will fade and become as derelict as MySpace. But know that I appreciate you for your eloquent sentiment and I will be sure to remember what you’ve imparted. 🙏🏻 Thank you. ❤️☺️

I find myself bored with Columbine now. There’s just nothing left to it after researching for years. It makes me depressed. I wonder if other anons feel this way? Any advice?

My advice is to take a break from it. Most of us need to do so to see if it calls us back or not. You may have just moved on but maybe not? In any case, stepping back and focusing on other things in your life is a good way to gain a distancing perspective. It’s really the only way you can assess whether you still need to spend time learning about the Columbine event and processing through it for whatever personal reasons it has drawn you in. Enjoy your December! 🙂

Regarding the starter pack someone made for Dyl, whats the University of Arizona doing there, how was it linked with him? I live your blog btw, have a great day!

Dylan had applied to attend the University of Arizona and was accepted. He and his parents drove down to Arizona to look at the campus and dorms one month before the massacre in March. His parents had sent in the check deposit for his dorm literally right before 4/20. Some think Dylan was fake planning to attend. I personally feel as though he was planning for two futures up until he did the massacre.

I’ve been reading your blog for over two years. This might sound strange, I know, because I don’t even know you, but you’ve helped me in so many ways with your blog. I feel like your blog has helped me grow as a person. I remember hearing about Columbine when I was a kid and being told that it was just two guys asking kids “do you believe in god?” then shooting them if they said yes. Through your blog and other research I’ve learned so much about more about the case. Thank you so much.

Thank you for sharing this. It’s very rewarding to hear how E-C has given you a more well-rounded look inside the Columbine tragedy from the perpetrator’s perspective. ❤  It is important to see this and understand this tragic event from both sides of the coin to gain better understanding. 🙂
