You mean this one I posted last year? lol
Which holiday do you think was Dylan’s favorite?
I’d say probably Christmastime. No school seeing as it was winter break and he got some cool haul. What’s not to like? 😉
adding this in here:
“Christmas was low-key and comfortable. As usual, Dylan led the way in finding and decorating our tree; he always wanted the biggest one we could fit on top of our car.”
– Sue Klebold, “A Mother’s Reckoning”

Oh, just imagine what a treasure trove of fun it would be to look through. lol
Not to mention most insightful. 😉
I made another video, but this time focused on the day itself instead of Dylan and Eric. It made me rather emotional but I hope you enjoy it. I worked pretty hard on it.
Very poignant ❤
dylan isn’t good at this, “it’s a good thing we uh.. we ordered those radioactive.. – shit!”
Endearing Dyl fuckups❤️
i had this idea in my head a looooooong time ago hope you enjoy
Has a perfectly bittersweet mood somehow. 🖤
Wish it didn’t have Zero Hour clips added to it though.
your blog is so informative – one of the best – and i admire it a lot 💜💕
Thank you! 💕☺️
dylan klebold hurt his wrist like a sonuvabitch.
❤️
Please don’t give up on Dylan :( If you decide to leave please keep him in mind. You’re one of the few people I know who see him in the purest light and can really understand him
Never. Dyl’s my spirit animal of sorts. I could never forsake him 🙂 and no matter what future direction I choose for E-C. Awh, you’re so sweet how you worded this. Thank you for your own purest light ❤
How old were you when Columbine happened? Your blog is awesome!
Older than you, no doubt. 😉 And thanksss!
Did Eric try to date Karen Ann Schott or something ? Because he said that she was “fucking bitch” in the Basement Tapes and Karen herself said that he was nice to her… I’m confused..
I would say that Karen probably innocently turned Eric down but from his singed ego perspective, she majorly rejected him. She is probably one of those ‘bitches’ that Eric ranted about in that one Basement Tape where he’s alone in his car talking to the camera. Karen Ann Schott was also on Dylan’s (S)hit list, I do believe. I tend to think that when one or the other hated a certain someone, the other dude showed their solidarity against their friend’s targeted person by also adding the same target to their own hit list. I’m sure Karen was completely flummoxed as to why she was on Eric’s hit list because he probably never once gave her the impression that she’d insulted him.
Do you think dylan would’ve done what he said in his journal about slitting his wrist’s open, if he hadn’t done NBK?
Dylan wrote about ‘slitting his wrists’ in an extreme reaction to the odds that the girl he pined for didn’t return his love. It wasn’t in connection with whether he did NBK or not.
The actual quote here..
“ If by fate’s choice, [edited] didn’t love me, id slit my wrist & blow up Atlanta ( pipe bomb) strapped to my neck. It’s good, understanding. a hard road since my realization, but it gets easier. BUT IT DOESNT! That’s part of existence. Unpredictable.” – DBK
Now, do I think he would’ve done it that way? Well, I think Dylan spent 95% of his life fantasizing about various ways he could suicide leading up to NBK (when, he’d eventually, finally, had the nerve to kill himself alongside his friend Eric). His mental dabblings in suicidal ideations was a form of a coping mechanism – a sort of stress relief for him to imagine how he’d take care of matters if things got to be worse than he could fathom and far too much for him to bear (on top of everything else that he felt sucked in his measly life). He might’ve to slit his wrists, sure but tbh, I don’t think logically he’d see that as his first choice of means to go out. It’d be slower and painful then a gunshot to the head but of course, that’s why he added on the follow-up ‘chaser’ with a pipebomb going off with *BANG!* while attached to his being. Then again, no guarantees there either he’d assuredly die. I just think the scenario he concocted was dramatic in relative relation to the surge of anxiety level that engulfed him in ‘going there’ mentally with the possibility that if his True Love didn’t love him back – well, then what … ?
His description comes off sounding something akin to “I’m going to plunge the knife in my chest and throw myself off a cliff and be eaten by sharks” There is a certain amount of romantic flourish to his creatively, melodramatic suicidal fantasy inventions.
Once Dylan would dream up these ‘solutions’ mentally, he could rest easy in knowing that he wouldn’t have to live life any longer (if and when he chose to) should he find out he couldn’t ever have the one great thing he wished for. Because then there would be a pre-conceived ‘escape plan’ for himself when everything got to be too much for him to manage and deal with.
Dear E-C, I know it’s hard for you to say this as you’re not Dylan, but how do you feel his reaction would’ve been to his portrayal in the media as a follower? Anger? Acceptance? Indifference towards what the Zombie masses believe?
‘Not Dylan’. haha, gotta love it. Well, thank fuck, huh, dear kalas-odyssey? 😉 I think he’d be equal parts indifferently unsurprised and smug as to how Humanity and its’ dense media portrayed him so one-dimensionally, how they gravely underestimated the extent of his active (and sometimes eager) willingness and participation. It’s kinda like “meh, stupid fucks, you still really have no clue about me or who I was. It’s not that simple (it never is) and it never was. Of course..not that any of it matters anymore anyway…”
CBS Evening News reports the first look at the Basement Tapes release via the transcripts supplied to Time magazine and the controversy surrounding it.
December 13, 1999
“Harris and Klebold talk a lot about their parents.
They apologized to their parents for the hell they said they’d be putting them through but they said they really had no choice on this matter, it was something they had decided to do and would go ahead and carry it out.“
The Time Magazine article.
Not from america Sorry..what age are seniors normally
18 is the norm.
If Dylan had been home schooled or privately tutored by educated and well-rounded adults, would that have been a better environment for him versus the stockyard public school system?
Some people think, that Robyn Anderson bought weapons for Eric and Dylan, because she had a crush on Klebold. It’s true or not? What you think about this?
Robyn bought the weapons as a favor to her two friends. However, if Eric asked her to do this just for himself alone without Dylan involved at all, I highly doubt she would’ve been as motivated to do so. Dylan was her good friend and she liked him bunches. She felt he did favors for her and so she wanted to return the favor and help him out and sure, his friend Eric too. The two dudes were inseparable, so sure, why not help them both out even though only one was a closer friend.
Hello Miss EC! I was just thinking about something and it still has me kind of puzzled. The Columbine school year started in late August if I am correct, and so for Eric and Dylan’s senior year I’m supposing it also started then. Dylan’s birthday falls on September 11th, does this mean he started his senior year at sixteen years old?
Hi. 🙂 Correct. He was 16 for less than a month when he started his senior year at Columbine.
Which holiday do you think was Dylan’s favorite?
I’d say probably Christmastime. No school seeing as it was winter break and he got some cool haul. What’s not to like? 😉
What’s the best way to keep track of if Sue comes to Texas as a speaker or for a book signing?
