It’s funny that I was literally just talking about that this afternoon with @thedragonrampant lol That’s the kind of stuff that happens to me aaaalll the time with this blog. Ears are burning. 😉 I think that both would’ve enjoyed just getting in the car and going on a long, cross-country road trip adventure. I think Dylan strongly desired to get away from his hometown because he was literally sick of everything on so many levels. This is why the fantasy of leaving his hometown and going far away to college was more appealing than just pretending and telling mom and dad he was satisfied with going to a community college. Arizona may as well have been another planet when you compare its hot, dry, and perpetually sunny climate to Colorado with its potential for gloomy weather and rain as well as cold and snow and very long winters. Dylan simply just craved to ‘get away’ metaphorically. So, I think he did desire that road trip, like Eric – to be able to just get far away from home in which he could be out on the open road, driving free and easy with his jams and to be able to just stop anywhere that stoked his curiosity. He needed that sort of stimulation; sameness was just stifling. Traveling across the country, he could experience new and different surroundings and meet new people and make him feel more alive than he’d ever been in his 17 year routine in suburbia. The world is so much bigger than the small, conservative, narrow-minded community that they lived in and became cynical about and they needed to set foot outside of it and to infuse their lives with adventure and new people and places to interact with.

Were the molotovs made with hanging rags? How did they transport them during the shooting without spilling gas all over?

I tend not to think that E & D used the traditional type of molotovs with the rags sticking out of the end. It would probably be too potentially messy carrying those around in their bags or on their person and to risk leakage. It would appear that the molotovs they built out of snapple bottles (as seen here of these two “Mango Madness” lol Snapple bottles found in Dylan’s car that the bottles were heavily duct taped with a sort of firecracker-like fuse duct tape attached along the side of the bottle.
I get a feel that Dylan would’ve been more like a serial killer and Eric would’ve been a mass shooter or a mass bomber if Columbine never happened BUT they still ended up becoming killers. Do you feel the same?
Dylan a serial killer? wat. lol

I don’t feel the same at all. I do not think either would’ve become killers had they been separated from one another. Each reinforced the destructive tendencies of the other.
But I’m curious to know what makes you feel this way?
Hey, can I link you to a girl that I think looks like the female version of Dylan?
sure
Hi there. I’m wondering how we know that the Klebold’s other cat was named Lucy. I know Sue writes about having more than one, but, from what I can remember, only mentions Rocky by name. I did do a search, but couldn’t find how we know the other cat was named Lucy. Thanks!
Sue spoke of both Rocky and Lucy in AMR:
“Because of Ruth’s allergies, we put our two cats, Rocky and Lucy, in the utility room, and they slunk behind the dryer in the unfamiliar space. I wished I could do the same”
And you’re welcome! 🙂
I WISH Dylan liked Rachel Bc then she could’ve possibly saved him.. 😭
That is wishful thinking. But hey, we all do a fair bit of that when it comes to Dylan. 😉 But tbh, Dylan probably did have a crush on Rachel at one point in time… along with his many other secret crushes over the years. But his knowing that she was a Christian that actually did religious performances in school would likely have been more or less a turn off for him in the last year and a half of his life – regardless of whether they got along as acquaintances as part of theater class. He’d have been like “oh, she’s one of thoooose people. Too bad”
Wait a minute, wait a minute, I thought Dylan saw Eric kill himself, then lit a Molotov cocktail and THEN offed himself— not *SECONDS* after Eric did.
Yes, Dylan did light the molotov on the table first before committing suicide. In that particular post, I was focusing on the boys positioning and order of deaths and nothing much else. You can check out this post or search ‘molotov’. However, I should probably add that bit in so there isn’t any future puzzlement.
I was told Dylan’s letter was for Rachel and he had a crush on her.
Sue mentioned in her book, and a few times publicly, that the girl was someone that didn’t even know he existed. Dylan and Rachel knew one another. I’d certainly like to know who is telling you such things? Perhaps Rachel’s mom, Beth Nimmo? 😉
Hi Miss E-C! Why do you suppose Robyn never tried to set Dylan up with any of her friends?
Hiya 🙂 Well, because that would make their established friendship awkward if she decided to play matchmaker to her friend when he did not ask her to do such a thing. It would embarrass him as if she thought he some poor unfortunate cause that needed help. Additionally, Robyn was ultimately hedging her bets that her buddy might show signs of being interested in them as more than friends.. someday.. if and when he was ready to and if she hadn’t already found some other guy to steady date.
Was eric standing when he shot himself?
E-C Search “suicide positions” to catch yourself up.
Who was Dylan’s love letter for?
Now, that’s the 64 million dollar question isn’t it? 😉
I’ve seen some people say Dylan wasn’t homicidal and that he was “tricked” by Eric. Do you think Dylan was homicidal and suicidal, or only suicidal?
How exactly is it that Dylan would’ve been tricked by Eric? At the end of the day, Dylan shot and killed alongside Eric. Dylan didn’t get sick to his stomach nor vomit on sight had he been coerced to take lives. There are no witnesses that mentioned anything about Dylan looking or sounding ambivalent or acting like he wanted to stop killing or to turn themselves into the cops. Instead, Dylan calmly strode around as if conducting the business of the day to be done, lighting and tossing pipe bombs and running down the hall shooting at fleeing students while laughing and whooping it up. He stuck his guns under the library tables and point and shot without a care. He stood over a helpless Lance Kirklin and shot directly at his face at close-range. How would any of these actions demonstrate Dylan being tricked? Please tell me how does one shoot at people so many times and not be homicidal? How is one that matter-of-factly tells the guy under the library table who asks him what he’s doing “oh, just killing people” not voluntarily homicidal? Dylan came to the school that day to kill others and kill himself and he did so willingly, therefore, he was both homicidal and suicidal. Case closed. Now, whether Dylan preferred that he himself die more than to kill is another nuanced discussion entirely but the fact of the matter is that he wanted both enough to carry out what he did that day of his own volition, and he did both without a hitch.
Hey, I saw the recent anon that touched on Eric saying Betsy, when did he say this?
It was a school writing assignment. You’ll have to have a search for it in Pages 25923-26859
This blog is primarily about Dylan.
I’m cackling. Eric’s 90s term ‘Betsy’ is basically today’s term for ‘Becky’. He was ahead of the times 😂
Agreed. A vacuous, trendy, air-head chick. Ironically though, Brandi was one of those. 😉
I read your opinion on Robyn’s interview but do you actually think she had NO idea about 4/20? I mean I just think it’s sketchy how quickly she answered after Diane asked if she knew….I get she was probably still grieving or was nervous but idk how to feel about it.
I don’t think Robyn blatantly knew what was going down on 4/20, no. Hypothetically, the dudes may have made vague jokes as to what they had in store for 4/20 but that would be expected as it was their school’s designated senior prank day in addition to weed day. Students regularly would shit talk about prank plans for the big day. This fact was a joke in itself for E & D in deciding upon going with 4/20 as opposed to their initial idea of 4/19 (the Oklahoma City bombing anniversary). So, friends wouldn’t at all read-in to their wink/nudge references and take it as literally serious enough to feel uncomfortable or suspicious about it. As with Robyn, she spoke more to Dylan than Eric as a friend. And Dylan never vented about wanting violent vengeance around her. Anything he may have said was couched in a joke. And teenage boys tend to joke about such things. When she saw the two boys together they did activities like bowling, shooting pool, watching movies. There were no deep discussions when Robyn was in the company of E & D. She might have seen bits and pieces of how they interacted together but I don’t think she had all the pieces to figure out what they were planning to go down. They were her friends – so why would she think they’d do something so horrible? She gave them the benefit of the doubt as her friends that they could be trusted and they were nice guys. I certainly do not think she was the sort of person that would’ve been comfortable fully knowing about the plan and having a fair few friends in harm’s way at the school as she rushed to get a Diary Queen lunch with some of her friends. After all, they returned back to the school. Why would she plan to return at all if she knew the sort of devastation that was about to go down? Would she be okay with letting Dylan and Eric get hurt, or shot by cops or end up in prison for fucking up their school for revenge sake? I don’t think she could’ve handled sitting on all of those feelings had she fully known about what they planned.
I do think that Robyn was nervous in that tv interview with Barbara Walters. I feel as though she had disconnected from all the horrible things that had happened in order to cope. She was in shock and was calmly distanced from it. Probably by each evening, she would lay in bed at night alone in her room and ruminate over everything in her mind and then emotionally crumble into a deluge of tears I believe it’s certainly possible she was on something like valium in order to manage through a televised interview where millions of people would be watching and judging her every move and scrutinizing her answer to each and every question.
Ms. Everlasting! I am finally getting my own triple bar necklace! Handmade! I’m SO excited. Will post pics once it arrives.
The handmade ones are particularly special Looking forward to your pics! 🙂
Why do you think Reb had a buzzcut?
I’d say just for the ordinary reason that it was easy to manage but also had the perk of complimenting his militant bdu pants and combat boots
Not a question but Dylan’s house is (was?) huge and the location is gorgeous 😍
Yes, huge, gorgeous and so breathtakingly beautiful. If fate has it in the cards, I might be going back for a visit. 😉
Columbine has a way of snagging people. I’ve tried to separate myself from TC many times but I always end up coming back for more Columbine even though there is nothing important left for me to learn lmao
Yep, I’d say that what you’ve just described is generally what happens to many people that get neck (or eye balls?) deep into the C olumbine case. I think of it kinda like a virus that you come down with and assimilate as part of your body yet you never really rid of it kind of like idk? chicken pox or hepatitis or something. It can flare back up again at any time. lol
Has Sue every mentioned the Harris family in her public interviews or guest speakings?
Yes, she’s mentioned in her book and a couple of times in public that they have kept in touch with the Harrises but the general feeling is that its minimal contact and likely amounts to cards and letters over the years. Perhaps even a phone call between Sue and Kathy once in a blue moon. Sue was clear that she will not be speaking on behalf of the Harris family nor discussing anything she’s spoken about with them because it’s not her place to do so. She has chosen to respect their wishes and allow them their peace.
