Cool cat Dyl jazzy whistling and snapping those lovely fingers  ..and also the mystery of who exactly said ‘ketchup & cinnaminis’ ..solved. 😉

Snippet of the Breakfast Run Video – filmed April 19, 1999 – the day before the Columbine massacre.   Dustin Gordon, driver, Dylan Klebold,  jazz whistling co-pilot and Eric Jackson, filming in the back seat,  This is for a “Looking” video production project in which Dylan planned to entitle it ‘American Dream’.  Of course, he’d never submit it seeing as he’d be dead the next day a little after noon..  Subtitles by Miss Everlasting. 🙂   p.s. Notice how soft Dyl’s voice is and he sort of slurs his words together i.e. “sal’n pepper”

Burger King customer service: Here’s your change, ketchup, salt and pepper?

Dustin Gorton: No

Dylan:  Salt and pepper?  or as Dylan slurs it “Sal’n pepper?

Dustin: Ketchup, salt and pepper – NO.

Dylan: Yeah, a little ketchup with my cinnaminis..

Dustin: haha

Eric Jackson: yummy, yummy

Dylan: …maybe some pepper

Dustin: Better hurry up. We’re making a video here, hurry! c’mon!

Dylan: *begins whistling some elevator music”

Dustin: (discusses editing of their video they’re shooting)
*mumbles something indistinguishable*
if we do it right, we can throw in some good music.

Dustin: “(approximation)….that part where my ass goes around the corner *makes tire screeching sounds*

Eric Jackson: heh

Dylan *still whistling away*

BK: there you go; you have a nice day

Dustin: thank you!

Dylan: *stops whistling*

Eric J:  do do do do do do

15 years ago, Dustin Gorton, Dylan Klebold and Eric Jackson filmed the Breakfast Run, where they went to the former Burger King, on April 19th, 1999.

Dylan entitled this video project ‘American Dream’

Song playing in the backdrop “Americana” by the Offspring
Hmm. Ya think Dylan selected it for his last class video?

Well i’d like to tell you all about my dream, it’s a place
Where strip malls abound and diversion’s mere moments away

Where culture’s defined by the
Ones least refined
And you’ll be left behind
If you don’t fit in
It’s all distorted
In americana my way

Well my dream has come true
My vision has come true

Now give me my cable, fast food, four-by’s, tat’s right away
I want it right now cause my generation don’t like to wait

My future’s determined by
Thieves, thugs, and vermin
It’s quite an excursion
But it’s okay
Everything’s backwards
In americana my way

Well my dream has come true
My vision has come true

I’m a product
Of my environment
So don’t blame me, i just work here

My rights are denied by
Those least qualified
Trading profit for pride
But it’s okay
Everything’s backwards
In americana my way

My nightmare has come true
My nightmare has come true
Yeah, it’s all coming true

Columbine “Breakfast Run” video the day before the shootings.

4/19/99 Last breakfast run at Burger King with driver, Dustin Gorton, Dylan, his co-pilot and Eric Jackson (not Harris) in the backseat.

Dustin Gorton presently runs a “Victims of School Shooters” group on Facebook. Having done this video with Dylan just the day before, his co-pilot even, and then seeing Eric onthe day of must have been extremely devastating for him – like someone yanked the rug out from under him and he slammed his head on the floor. The ultimate feeling of betrayal.

It is so sad to know that Dylan knew he would die the next day..
