In this clip there is a “new”, of sorts, video clip from the theater on the Brown’s computer monitor filmed at a distance for this doc. Zack (or whoever this may be) is making a exaggerated, over-the-top “yessir!” nod to Dylan. The two are likely goofing off while going over the lights/sound aspects of the play. The Browns dialog that Dylan is laughing and joking around with the crew and it’s so incongruous because he was secretly planning to kill many classmates which would probably include some of his own theater crew that he enjoyed hanging around with.
In the backdrop is an unknown girl actress in an old fashion dress costume walking forward behind Dylan. She has a gown with puffed sleeves and her hair is made up period style. This is likely the Frankenstein play (placing this around Nov/Dec ‘98) since Brooks had a big hand directing the play and also acted as a very central character as Frankenstein’s monster and it would make sense why his parents were filming this so concertedly.
As Dylan walks off the stage, the very last person on the end stairs is probably Brooks. You can see Randy Brown filming at the very edge.
This is the reason Dylan appears extremely tall next to everyone else! When I attended a conference at Columbine last summer, I noticed this platform in the orchestra pit. It confirmed my suspicions that Dylan was standing on this while the crew was milling about him making him appear a good foot taller than everyone.
I believe Dylan is wearing the exact same pair of light blue jeans – slim cut / tapered ankle – in both of these video productions spanning a year apart. You can literally see his sudden weight loss as the jeans look completely different on him. They are hanging off his legs in March ‘99 just one month before the massacre.
His jeans still fit his legs well with only a slight bit of sagging in the pant leg. You can still make out the muscles of his thighs. They still hug around his tiny ass just enough that he actually has one.
Flash forward 6.5 months..
Dylan’s pants are sagging out from his non-existent thighs and hanging and draping off in puddles on his backside. No longer a hint of an ass. The fabric is collecting in pools around his calves.
Weeell, y’all knew that it was only a matter of time before this meme was gonna happen, right? It just had to. 😉

Update 1.11.2018: Nate Dykeman provided the approximated date that the Morning Ritual was filmed. On the VHS tape which he provided to Jeffco it’s title on the spine is “Dylan Klebold and Nate Dykeman, Approx. date Nov, Dec ‘98″ which places my guestimate correctly in this post for “Winter ‘98″ based on Dylan’s hair length progression, having grown just a bit longer since the October bday photo.
Update 2.2018: The Frankenstein Roast was date stamped 10.30.1998 in this video still posted in a newspaper article called Darkness Falls on Denver. I was off by about a month plus in my estimate since Dylan’s hair looked as though it grew super long/fast since his shorter looking haircut during his brother’s bday party. But now we know that’s because it actually did. 🙂
I feel as though Dylan equated Purity in the sense of being genuine and absolute of character. Being authentic and true of one’s nature and spirit. Uneffected nor easily swayed or influenced by others as part of the populace, the majority of the zombies imitating one another and relying on one another’s approval as part of the existing in The System here on the earth. A something or someone that/who is untouched and not tainted by the mass influence. A girl that Dylan equated with Purity meant that he could see her genuine spirit – she presented real – simply, wholly, purely who she was and he found that attractive. What you see is what you get. No fakery. No Facade – they are presenting honestly in the world as they truly are. Perfect as is no physical trappings by status clothing or illusions to enhance. She is pure in her purity. I feel as though part of the reason Dylan was so jealous over Zack’s good fortune with Devon is because he felt Zack truly lucked out with a girl that had purity of nature and spirit. She was a real woman and she cared about her boyfriend genuinely. She cared about people..and she cared for Dylan and wanted to befriend him. Purity was something Dylan knew innately once he saw it radiate from someone and experienced it of their nature. You are either someone that had it.. or you didn’t. I don’t think Dylan equated purity in relation to girls in the traditional sense of whether they were virgins or not. Although, I think in his mind, sexuality expressed in connection with love as the higher ideal and inspiration would be closer to the spectrum of purity than the act of fucking simply because you can and your body wants to – for the base lust and perverted desires of the ‘human self’. Humanity, and the pit falls of re-acting as part of this illusion of an existence, is what Dylan perceives as an Achilles Heel that holds us back from being who we truly are as part of the Everything state of being.

This was in the 2002 A&E documentary called Columbine: Understanding Why in which a Threat Assessment Task Force comprised of various psych experts collaborate and try to examine the psyche of the boys and to try and pinpoint their motivations.

Yes, there is an ‘uncut’ version of the Morning Ritual video clip. 🙂 However, it was never released to the public. Jeffco and the media apparently have access to this version as it was footage used for a Columbine documentary. While watching this particular doc, I was a bit tickled when I discovered that as Dylan and Nate were driving into the parking lot of CHS, you don’t just hear the swell of Pulp Fiction Bullwinkle Pt. II music but instead, you can hear Nate and Dylan idly chit chatting about locating a parking space. I would imagine their entire conversation was present in the full at-least audio version the media has access to. I will post the video in a separate post – with a side-by-side comparison of the audio edited internet version that the public knows of and is accustom to versus the ‘uncut’ audio version of the clip. Keep in mind, you won’t hear a whole lot because the narrator talks over the segment but you catch glimpses of Dylan and Nate having a convo about the usual morning parking rituals. This was their little home made video they were filming for Nate’s real dad in Florida so he could see what life was like for Nate going to high school in suburban Littleton.

I looked out the window and Dylan who was about four years old in the dream was with a little boy, a friend, and the van was driving away and I looked down, and Dylan was chasing the van trying to catch up to me. And the policeman who was driving the van slammed on the breaks, got out of the car, threw both of these little boys into a dumpster, and slammed the lid down and locked it so they couldn’t get out. You know, I’m always having ‘drama queen’ dreams, always crying and pounding things in my dream. But in that dream, I’m in this van trying to get to my son and he’s just been locked away. You can get the full symbolism here. The front door of the wall of the bin opened and Dylan ran to the van where I was pulling away and he chased this van. And I opened the door, and I grabbed – I pulled him in with me. When he got with me into this van, he was telling me that he was hurting. ‘I’m hurting; I am sad’. And I looked at his face, and he had this terrible – these spiky sores were coming out of his face. And I was trying to fix him and put lotion on him and he said “It can’t help, it hurts too much for you to touch these.” And ah, in this dream I was – all I could do was to hug him and let him rest his head on my chest and then I woke up..”

Sue is really engaging and especially really thoughtful, attentive and receptive to people’s questions and comments at the end of this particular intimate speech given in a small conference room. Seems this casual setting is easier for her to manage than the TEDMED speech where she didn’t have a podium to hold on to for a bit of security while placing herself in the seat of judgment in front of an audience. Another highlight was near the end, when a guy mentioned that he too had been a gifted kid that was severely bullied in school dealing with homicidal thoughts poses important questions to Sue as yet another could-have-been Dylan.
I must say that I found the nose level of the audience offensive and it seemed strange that the event planners decided to allow the audience to dine while listening to Sue’s speech. Plates were clattered and people were milling in and out of the room and a couple of times, they walked right in front of Sue as they were likely making a restroom break. Very distracting and disrespectful. In my opinion, the meal should’ve been arrange after her talk so that the audiences’ full, undivided attention could’ve been given to her as she was imparting her tragic happening and lessons learned from it.

Valentine’s Day is next week, and it can be either the greatest or the worst holiday of the year. Today, we get some perspective on the nature of romantic love, and try to reconcile two different ways of thinking about it. Then, Sue Klebold recollects the morning her son, Dylan, and Eric Harris opened fire at Columbine High School. She speaks of the aftermath of the shooting, and her advocacy for mental health and suicide prevention.

The Klebolds do a Quit Claim deed transaction every few years. They regularly sell their house to Tom’s company: Cougar Resources LLC. I went into detail about this here. My speculation is that Tom is subletting with possibly two tenants in order to afford keeping the home as an investment property to be paid off. The only thing that is interesting on this Sale History is that Real Estate websites also list a sale date of 4/15/14 for $575,000 – which is not listed in the ‘Sale History’ below. This may have to do with a specific, savvy sales transaction arrangement that Tom and Sue had done while going through the divorce and separating that would be some sort of loop hole showing that the house was “sold” though literally, for smart tax purposes.

Eric Veik stated that Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold asked him to film a video for them that they needed in Eric’s Government Economic class. The assignment was to create a business. Eric and Dylan came up with the idea of being hitmen. The title of the video was: “Hitmen for Hire” and the original title was “Revenge for Hire”.
Eric showed the HMFH video in class and Mr. Tonelli gave him an A for it with a score of 83 out of 90.
