The VoDkA molecule 

In discovering this, I’m left to ponder whether Dylan stumbled upon what the chemical formula molecule was for his favorite alcoholic beverage from, perhaps, a chemistry class at CHS.  That he was already quite fond of the beverage but then learned the formula symbol while in class and it became sort of a springboard foundational shape for his original two-barred cross symbol (and not the Cross of Lorraine as has been speculated). From there, the symbol then evolved into a three-barred cross as Dylan himself became the divisional slash down the middle of it.  We’ll never know for sure but it certainly is interesting that the Vodka formula chemistry symbol dovetails his initial double cross.  Btw, the formula symbol is a big deal sold as jewelry such as necklaces and earring including the flask above with the molecule on it.  That would’ve made a fantastic gift for Mr. V!  😉 

The synchronous similarity certainly makes one go hmm…

Some afternoon symbolism spotted in the Colorado hills, own, 2015.

That is just STUNNING even more so than what you had mentioned to me.  The symbolic profundity of the Everlasting Contrast triple-bared cross echoing about Dyl’s surrounds has me floored in awe. *SHIVERS*   Surely, he must have been aware of them and may even have been inspired to change his original double bar Cross of Lorraine, adding that one extra slash down the middle in part due to these power lines around his home echoing his personal duality sentiment.   Beautiful..as the sun. 🙂

Sorry this probably sounds ignorant – I’m new to exploring the story of Eric and Dylan. What exactly does the sign mean? The symbol, I mean. Is there a meaning provided – is it a recurring symbol or perhaps a signature to Dylan/Eric? What does it mean? Thankyou.

Oh, please don’t worry about coming across ‘ignorant’. If you’re just exploring D & E, it’s a perfectly logical question on your part.  🙂  I’m guessing you are referring to the Triple Barred Cross which is basically the essence of my blog. The ‘Everlasting-Contrast’ cross is specifically Dylan’s.   I go a bit into the significance and symbolism of his personal cross in relation to the earring that Dylan always wore in this post.

Do you know where I could maybe get an everlasting contrast triple barred cross earring like Dylan’s?

Triple barred cross anything is really non-existent – surprisingly so, too. You can get the Cross of Lorraine if you look hard enough but not the triple ‘Salems Cross’.   Dylan either had it made or made it himself in a class. My personal impression is that his mom took a jewelry class and made it for him. She is artist and might have taken jewelry making class. This would seem to make sense as to why he went out of his way to remove the earring and place it in a small pile of other items of personal significance before ending his life.
