It seems like Devon tended to gift names of endearment that fit her friends personalities. Her guy, Zack, was Bear and Dylan was Quacker. We can only speculate why she dubbed Dylan this goofy nick. It comes across painting him as that demented, wacky-bonkers dude that possibly does a mean Donald Duck impression.
Just look at these multiple, potential possibilities… 😉
Cracker –

Quackers – (Plural)

A fantasy prone mid teen to late 40 year old guy that wears flip flops, big dog t-shirts, sports a ponytail, and is more than likely to be overweight.
The name is derived from the duck like sound emitted from the voice box of this particular form of life.
Almost every single Quacker is into the fantasy tabletop game Warhammer, and recently Warhammer Online Age of Reckoning.
“I wanna kill me some Elves! QUAAAAAACK!”
Any sane man would respond, “I believe we have entered a pond my friend, because of all these damn quackers!”
Although, Dylan does not mention playing Warhammer specifically in his list of game likes. We know that he did play card games with TCM members and associates and probably at various times, joined in on playing games like Magic, D&D and fantasy tabletop games such as or like Warhammer. This exact, specific geeky nick is a remote possibility that Devon would affectionately name him after that. More like something Zack might call him – so I find it doubtful though amusing. Interesting stumbling on this nerdy term that I hadn’t heard of before.
And the answer is.. we still have no clue why Devon affectionately called Dyl that..but based some of the above, we have a hint of an idea. 😉
