Yes, the Ever-lasting contrast. Since existence has known, the 'fight' between good & evil has continued. Obviously, this fight can never end. Good things turn bad, bad things become good. My fav. contrasting symbol, because it is so true & means so much – the battle between good & bad never ends… Here we ponder on the tragedy of Dylan Klebold.
She’s pretty much a musical artist that women tend to like with themes about women’s troubled relationships with men. So, no, definitely not. Now, you might find a couple of her songs remind you of the boys but that doesn’t mean the boys would like her simply because the songs remind you of them.
No, I don’t think they would because their journals and videos are what introduced us to them as human beings, as individuals beyond just ‘Columbine killers’. It allowed us to glimpse them in a public way (via their home videos) but also an intensely personal and private way. (their journals). I don’t think people would’ve resonated with them so deeply, or felt such empathy for the boys as long lasting as it has over these many years without the releasing of this particular evidence.
I’m not really sure whether I want to go there, you know? Best not too. It’s too personal. I’m not sure I’m even in a place where I can say that I’ve completely ‘forgiven’. And that is partly why we are all here on the tag revisiting Columbine not so much for the case aspects but how it relates to ourselves and the shit we’re still caring around in our lives, struggling with and processing through to the other side.
I guess it’s time to tell you who I am. I was in a class with you 1st semester, & was blessed with being with you in a report. I still remember your laugh. Innocent, beautiful, pure. This semester I still see you rarely.
I am entranced.
I think I may have answered this one before and my response was that it would essentially be like looking for a needle in a haystack trying to locate where the boys went with Manes, Miklich and Duran to do their shooting practice. They only way you might be able to find the approximate location would be to ask Manes and Duran. However, I’d wager they’d vaguely (if at all) would remember a few turn offs and even then, they’d have a hard time pin pointing exactly where they were unless there were distinct landmarks that stood out from other natural formations throughout the park. Partially because the terrain and forest vegetation would’ve overgrown and so it wouldn’t look much like it did back in the day..enough to instantly recall it.
Rampart Range Road is a 60-mile-long gravel road that travels the forested crest of the Rampart Range, in Colorado, USA.
This trail begins in Garden Of The Gods in the city of Colorado Springs, Colorado and snakes a path some 60 miles in a northerly direction ending at Highway 67 between Sedalia and Deckers. The scenic gravel road yields spectacular views of Pikes Peak, the prairie, and the rugged Front Range and Tarryall Mountains, and offers quiet camping, diverse mountain biking and camping opportunities, and one of Colorado’s last fire lookouts atop Devils Head.
This road is very exposed and unsecured driveway in innumerable twists and turns. Situated in the Pike National Forest, Rampart Range Road was built during the Great Depression of the 1930’s by the Civil Conservation Corps. There are absolutely no services along Rampart Range Road and very few “exits” along the way.
The road winds up at an elevation of 6,346 to 9,505 feet.
Just to give you an idea how massive of a wilderness expanse Rampart Range is, here is a time lapse video driving through the entire area:
After you’ve viewed these videos, you might be inclined to agree that there would be no way to scope out the area for shot gun shell ‘relics’ (such an interesting choice of words) or bullet hole ridden tree trunks unless you had the help of the two that drove Dylan and Eric out to their random shooting practice spot of choice. 😉
Btw, the somber clouds is so veeery Colorado. In an hour or so, it could be clear skies with white, fluffy meringue clouds.as the darker clouds drift away from the mountain range. It is a state of ever changing moody weather that is quite spiritual and breathtaking. I miss that about it. 🙂
Agreed! I also like the skinny legged, black cargo pants he wore for the first time on the very last day of his life. Sad to say this..but they looked good on his long, lean bod as he lay sprawled on the library floor in his death slumber.
Naturally.. a place that has rides and greasy, crappy junk food like corn dogs and dippin’ dots – What is not to love for teenage dudes. The two used to go to Elitch Gardens and Waterworld so I’m sure they’d do local State Fairs if they were bored and more importantly, IF they had some paycheck money to burn.
