I love your blog and your sheeple. You the next Brooks Brown. Keep deterring those anons with reverse pscychobabble. Your obsession with Dyl is safe. Adios old timer.

WSoP(Un)H from Printer, Kentucky:

I must say, it’s been a looong while since you’ve sent me a catty remark. You know, I almost missed it.  Well, almost.

Typically, when I see your stuff (and it’s soo easy to spot) I just have a laugh and hit ‘delete’.  (Though, I did answer your anons a few times for the entertainment of it.)

I always love how much you allude that you can’t stand me/my blog as much as you do and yet, and YET, you keep right on coming back here for more.

Grow up, please.  Stop being so butt hurt and get over yourself.

And don’t say ‘Adios’ if you really don’t mean the finality of the word. Given all this time you’ve been taking pot-shots under cowardly anon, I’d dare say your obsession with me nearly equals Dyl.   And last I recall, you’re that ‘old timer’ with a kid to raise. Now, what kind of an example are you dropping in here periodically with that predictable, bitter, kindergarten-harassing bullshit you pull?

What. You think I didn’t know?

Don’t let the door hit you on the way out (this week, anyway. lol).  Consider this ‘it’ for the ‘public recognition big reveal’.  Anything new in my in-box will just be amusingly consumed and then automatically deleted – as per usual.

What do you make out of the “Columbiners” who disrespect those who Eric and Dylan killed? Even if it’s just “dark humor”

I think for the most part, dark humor is a healthy thing and the TCC have it in spades.  That said, those that seriously disrespect the victims out of malice purely because their sympathies and support lay with Eric and Dylan regardless of what they did –  imo, just means they’re missing the entire point regarding the message behind Columbine.  It’s misguided mindless follower support.

thedragonrampant:

Survivor Lance Kirklin drew up a sketch of one of the shooters he saw at the school on April 20, 1999. Lance was shot multiple times and even suffered a gunshot wound to the face, which was fired at point blank range by Dylan Klebold. It’s assumed that the sketch above also depicts Dylan: the side profile does seem to match Dylan’s own, showcasing both the larger chin and the hair protruding from the bottom of his backward-turned cap.

Would Dylan have liked any of the Halloween movies? (Mikey Myers)

No, not really horror movies of that genre. Eric was the horror film buff and even then his horror movie tastes were more cerebral and subtle scary not like full-on slasher flicks like Halloween or Friday the 13th. Those would’ve been old school for them too. They probably saw Scream and appreciated certain er ah, aspects to that one with the two dude killers pulling the wool over everyones’ eye. 😏 Still, not really Dyl’s cuppa. And again, it’s a slasher which is very simplistic in style. I think he much preferred more action-horror movies like Vampires and the surreal psychological mind-fuck that was Lost Highway. I think he’d loove The Walking Dead. And it’s a given Eric would too with the apocalyptic ‘every man for himself- survival of the fittest’ theme. And guns..lots o’ guns. lol Hmm..I’ll see if I can think of others from the late nineties that Dyl might’ve appreciated.

Dylan obviously loved him some music ;) what do you think his listening preference was? Blasting in his car? In his room? Headphones of some sort?

Dylan and his dad installed a custom set of stereo speakers and subwoofers in the front/back seat of his Beamer. So, you gotta know he’d be crankin’ up the jams with that funk bass beat of Chemo Bros. Block Rockin’ Beats wafting out his rolled down windows while driving in Eric’s neighborhood way too fast, buzzing around the corner of the circular cul-de-sac and slamming the stick shift into park with a “zzziiip!” at his familiar spot along the curb.

Dyl would’ve automatically flicked on the stereo upon entering his bedroom; the cycling music would’ve been a constant background noise on low while he was doing various things like reading for enjoyment or for homework (ugh.), studying calc or writing his El Thoughtzos as he’d do late at night. He’d jack up NIN after feeling shitty having gotten into (yet another) argument with his parents or after a particularly bad-er day it school. The vol would be at medium-high while enjoying the repetitive electro-industrial rhythm of a favorite KMFDM song (Ann-arc-chy). He’d amp up Weiss Fleisch like a ‘kill/attack’ anthem in the midst of a neck-in-neck death-match gaming session with Zack and Eric late night. Music would’ve been an instrumental barometer for his ever shifting moods – an emotionally expressive outlet whenever and wherever he was. The music played so continuous in his bedroom that songs would replay in his head like a transceiver radio statio long after he’d reach over and thumb the receiver power button down to nearly off, flicked off the only remaining dim light and hoped to settle and drift off into a state of dreamless oblivion. Headphones rarely.. this was before earbuds and ipods/iphones. The moment you entered his domain, the music would express his turf as much as the color and posters of his walls.

Do you think Dyl knew that Eric shot & killed Rachel Scott? Ik that Dyl wasn’t around when he did it..but hmm. In that article that I’ve recently read someone said something among the lines that, “Dylan knew Rachel, he wouldn’t have shot her.”

Yes, Dylan knew Eric took his initial shots at Rachel and Richard. Before the two even started shooting they were just standing up in the vicinity of the southwest entrance by the tree waiting for the right moment. When Eric started shooting, Dylan would’ve been witness to it as he was going about his own ‘start’ to the massacre. If if he hadn’t seen Eric actually shoot Rachel, the two still walked into the southwest entrance and walked past the two bodies laying prone on the ground. Dylan knew Rachel from theater class. He worked sound production and even helped fix a bad tape during her mime act and she’d thanked him afterward. His interaction with her was minimal but decent enough. I believe Sam Granillo, who was also in theater class and knew Dylan since they were in elementary school, was the student that said ‘Dylan knew her and wouldn’t have shot her.’ Rachel Scott’s mother likes to profess that Dylan had a crush on Rachel at one point and I’m not sure exactly how she came to this conclusion. In any case, I don’t think Dylan would’ve set out to shoot Rachel, as in, knowing it was Rachel and intentionally wanting to shoot her just for the fact that they knew each other in class and that she was appreciative of his help in class. But, otoh, who is to say? Everyone that was in the wrong place at the wrong time and caught in the cross fire was fair game and that’s just par for the course when your intent is to kill a massive amount of people in a massacre. In their minds, it’s as personal or impersonal as they choose to see it in a given moment and their ability to have mercy on certain people is just as split second of a decision. Once they were in the thick of it, and the bombs didn’t blow, it was just chaos and meaningless blind shooting whatever they could.

Dylan would’ve been so hot if he was a teen in this generation 😢

Let’s see..

bae and swag terms
iPhones
selfies
instagram
vine
snap chat accounts
 ‘panic! at disco’ songs
skinny ripped jeans
 forever21shirts

Nopleasestop.

Mmmm.. kind of misses the point of who they were, doesn’t it?

After all, they weren’t pretentious, status-y little fucks taking selfies and doing what everyone else does to be on fleek af.  These dudes went against the grain then and so if you inserted them in this generation, chances are, they would be doing very little to almost none of the above on the list up top.^^   I mean, when Dyl broke his glasses, he taped them together and proudly wore them that way as a fuck you! to the trendy suburbanite fashion snobs in Columbine.

Leat we forget, Dyl HATED trendy.  Ripped jeans and Forever21  ?!   You gotta be kidding me people.. They’d be sneering at this sheeple aesthetic.

Gotta say, assimilation sucks no matter what gen.  I hate to tell you, if you do this to Dylan, you take the ‘hot’ out of him, bae.  😉

who says he would go with the ~popular~ trends in this generation, though? if he was an individual in the 90s, imagine if he were part of this generation with the same attitude? it would be amazing. hacker Dylan with the latest PC he built himself from scratch, 3am with a fast internet connection and all identifying information hidden, creating havoc for fun or maybe for a cause he truly believes in. Dylan digging out all of the amazing and unheard of bands we have now, finding more lyrics that resonate with him, able to access every single piece of music and art and literature with a click of his mouse. Dylan deciding that hey, the 90s were really fucking cool aesthetically, saving his money and dressing exactly how he did as we know him, but today. driving the same car, rocking the trench.

this is the generation that invented hacktivism; this is the generation that holds previously untouchable people accountable with a swipe of their iPhone or the click of a button. this is the generation with never seen before access to all the information they need; with unlimited opportunity to put what they believe in and create out there for the entire world to see. this is the generation that’s constantly demanding change and this is the generation that’s beginning to learn that the power is with the people and we don’t have to put up with any shit we don’t want to. this is also the generation that’s constantly putting out people with huge amounts of talent in all areas, this is the generation that changed the way people communicate forever, this is the generation that owns technology and creativity like no other generation previously. tech-savvy Dylan would be in his element.

as for the “trendy” things? it’s all about how you use them. Dylan making creative satire of the “bae” and “swag” terms and getting it out there for others to enjoy to vent his frustration. Dylan using his iPhone to check up on friends on the other side of the world, to research things he enjoys, to upload photographs he takes on long walks around his house, to share his thoughts as he took them. Dylan taking selfies, not of his face, but of those bangin’ outfits he puts together and people on instagram loving it. Dylan and Zach and Eric making hilarious vines and goofing off and having the best time making them. the same with snapchat – exchanging hilarious snap stories about how much they hate this class or what their teacher just did, gawd, can you believe it?

and perhaps most importantly: Dylan having a connection to the world beyond Littleton, Colorado. Dylan seeing that there’s others out there that appreciate him. Dylan having a chance to anonymously confess his feelings and fears, and to get feedback from people who understand. Dylan seeing that his shitty suburban town isn’t the end of the world. Dylan being appreciated. Dylan being encouraged.

I don’t know about “hot”, but that’s a Dylan I would have loved to have the chance to meet.

I was for the most part facetious here. 😉 All very good points. 🙂 I think we see eye-to-eye with the technology aspects which is pretty much the case you’re making here. I absolutely agree that Dylan would use the hell out of the immediacy of the current technology for knowledge and power; he most definitely would be spinning the trendy social media apps on themselves, making a complete and utter mockery and mischief of how to really get good use out of them. The Galaxy s6 or iPhone, yeah, sure, but he’d jailbait that sucker immediately. Dylan, Zack and Eric’s Snapchats or Action Movie bombs of ‘jocks that deserve to die for this week’. A mockery of what chicks look like taking selfies or secretly snapping photos of chicks body legs or ass as they walk by in the Commons would be the anti hilarity exorcised regularly to blow off steam. Their video productions would be an amazing quality with the palm portable tech and software to edit, add sound effects and final processing in a matter of minutes. Dylan would be in his element with today’s tech, that’s a given. He would be a natural at texting anonymously expressing his true self and most probably would’ve had a better opportunity of getting to know girls safely from a distance and over a period of time exchanging words before that actual *shudders* date. The world would most definitely would’ve open up for him beyond the close-minded, suburban, homogenized hell hole he lived in.

I think what basically derailed me here was the suggested music, the skinny ripped jeans and forever21shirts. *poof* But, yes, the current technology he’d inhale like candy and the trendy social media apps would be something he’d love to show the multitude of ways you could use but still hate. 😉

Hi! 😈 Wouldn’t Dyl having two Aries parents have a strong influence on his personality and in turn work against or counteract any of his fence-sitting Libra tendencies?

Love this question and ironically I was thinking about the fact Dylan had two Aries parents just the other day. 🤔 Seems to be happening a lot lately actually with this blog.. 😏 Dylan seemed to be surrounded by dynamic, fiery Aries energy with Sue born March 25th, Tom, April 15th (Tax Day and 5 days away from NBK. Ouch.) and Eric born April 9th. Dylan’s sun sign is an Earth sign, Virgo which by comparison to the ‘take charge’ momentum of Aries, would be more of a slower paced energy, more cautious, pragmatic and mentally dominant. Additionally, as you mentioned, Dylan was very Libran in nature. His Virgoan sun sign energy was diluted by five whopping planets in airy Libra which would’ve made his vibe more easy-going and flexible, chameleon-like agreeable, a waffler and passive-aggressive. His parents would’ve probably both been very pro-active in encouraging and attempting to motivate him to succeed in school and to consider his future career. Given that he was depressed and floundering and doing a half assed job with school and was having off and on jobs in ‘98, he must have often felt like they were riding his ass and nagging him.

In his journal, Dylan bemoans that to paraphrase ‘his parents piss him off and want him to have ambitions’ and he feels that that is an impossibility. I’d say those escalating confrontation with his parents often ended up with him snarking back sullenly then going off to his room and slamming his door for the rest of the night. While Aries Eric was a perfect compliment to Dylan as a friend that combustibly inspired him to take action, Sue and Tom as Aries would have made little to no dent simply for the fact that they were his parents and as a teenager, Dylan likely dug his heels defiantly at the motivational speeches and the goals they’d try to get him to set for himself. He’d refrain from talking much if at all to them and would act annoyed and tending towards being stubborn and contrary to their wishes since he felt they didn’t truly understand him. I think deep inside, he wished he could have the motivation they wanted but given his depression, it was simply beyond him to please them. He hated them for it because he hated himself for not being successful and capable enough as he’d once been as their gifted golden child. So yes, two Aries parents probably felt frustrated in rallying up their son to be a more dynamic force like themselves; they were essentially spinning their wheels. Then again, regardless of parents astro signs, teenagers are going to override their parents wishes no matter. 😏 It’s just the fact that Sue and Tom were probably go getters all their lives with their education and careers so their ‘doer’ energy would’ve been derailed, frustrating them greatly by both of their sons. Let’s not forget that Byron was a Libra /Scorpio cusp born Oct 23rd (!)

“Life Is Sweet (Daft Punk Remix)” by the Chemical Brothers.  This is another song from the album Exit Planet Dust (1995), remixed by Daft Punk, and also doodled in Dylan’s planner (JC-001-026462).  This was long, long before Daft Punk became famous on their own with songs like “Get Lucky” and “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger” (sampled on Kanye West’s “Stronger”).

Daft Punk’s ‘Da Funk’ was huge hit in ’97 and it’s when Daft Punk ended up on the music scene radar because of that one tune. It’s a great funky electro song, btw.

The stylized font that Dyl often practiced in writing in is the Chem Bros font of choice called ‘Dust Mites’ (ironically, a free download on a site that happens to be called Da Font. 😉 ) Dyl wrote his essay on Time Management for the Diversion Program completely in this font and it’s veerrry hard to read. Chosen intentionally, no doubt. His passive-aggressive way of saying ‘I don’t give a fuck, I’ll pick whatever font I like and too bad if you can’t read it. hahaha!’

i don’t understand the whole today is not a good day thing :( could you expliain?

It was an double entendre message which Eric Veik was responsible for putting up on that particular day  It was a nice warm, partially sunny, spring day in April so most students glanced at the scrolling message and probably took it to mean ‘it’s not a good day to be stuck inside school on a nice day like this’.  In hindsight though, students reflected on the phase of the day and it’s cryptic veiled meaning: that you literally really wouldn’t want to be here on this day given what was about to go down.  4/20 was also marijuana day and I seem to recall that it was also senior prank day. Students probably looked at the message early in the day and thought it was just a joke because school was nearing it’s end along with the fact that students were bound to possibly be pranking or ditching class and heading off to partake in some weed. The message was probably a clue that E & D asked Eric Veik to put up for the scrolling ‘thought of the day.’
