Yes, the Ever-lasting contrast. Since existence has known, the 'fight' between good & evil has continued. Obviously, this fight can never end. Good things turn bad, bad things become good. My fav. contrasting symbol, because it is so true & means so much – the battle between good & bad never ends… Here we ponder on the tragedy of Dylan Klebold.

Congratulations!

Yes, by witness Vannessa Grimes.
There are descriptions in the autopsy report which are clues that point to verifying that Dylan cut himself. It’s assumed so but we don’t know conclusively. What we do know is that Dylan mentioned that he engaged in cutting in his journal. This is what seems to suggest as such in his autopsy report:
“Present on the lateral aspect of the left upper arm is a small cluster of punctuate lacerations and cuts.”
I go into this a bit more here.
I added a clause on that rec. Thanks for pointing that out.. It’s a new doc and tbh, I suppose I vaguely recall Cullen got his .50 cent in on this one. Any doc from 2009 and onward (when Cullen’s book was released) runs the risk of being tainted by Cullen’s propaganda. *sigh*
No Easy Answers by Brooks Brown
Brooks was friends with Dylan and Eric so he’s the closest insider look we’re going to get from a ‘ground zero’ perspective. Brooks was close childhood friends with Dylan. What was Dylan like as a kid up until seventeen? Explored here. ‘Nuff said. One glaring mistake in his book that I discovered recently from rereading was that he was completely off on his timeline as to when his issues began with Eric, the windshield incident and all the rest. Oopsy.
Columbine: A True Crime Story by Jeff Kass
Best non-biased and lots of good detailed factual, background informational nuggets.
We Are But We Aren’t Psycho by Tim Krabbé
(unfortunately STILL only in Dutch but thedragonrampant was kind enough to translate some chapters for us
Avoid: Columbine by Dave Cullen for it’s glaring inaccuracies 😉
A good youtube channel site to check out for restored documentaries, news footage, etc. is
What you can’t find there you can do a general search on youtube for any of these titles:
Zero Hour
– is probably the best in terms of a ‘recreation documentary’ but there’s a lot it that’s glamorized and not quite factual to the letter. This gives an overall gist of the entire event and in a ‘nut shell’ how everything unfolded.
Fictionalized accounts:
Zero Day
This was fascinating watching it for the first time as I had just gotten into Columbine. In retrospect, having seen it twice, I realized they never really went into any legit reasons as to why they were planning it – which is kind of important, imo. No signs of why they hated the school or being harassed and no demonstration of that either. Essentially, Zero Day was another one of the shaky handicam, low budget flicks and a gratuitous sneaky vehicle for the director to show us approximately how he felt the E & D’s Basement Tapes might’ve looked like. The attack was largely lame “Andre, Andre, Andred.. pick up the phone!” ad nauseam Whyyyyyyyy. Last fifteen minutes played out so amateur. It’s ridiculous how this scene gets confused for Columbine on youtube too.
These are decent overall:
The Columbine Killers
The Lost Boys
The Final Report
Spree Killers: The Columbine Killers (Someone said there’s too much Dave Cullen in this one. I don’t recall it all that well but it is one of the newer docs. So, tread carefully with this one for information skewed from Cullen’s PoV.)
Columbine: Understanding Why
(this one was removed off youtube for copyright infringement. It’s sometimes on Netflix otherwise you can poke around on the web or look for a torrent of it.) A team of ‘experts’ explores why they did what they’d done. It’s interesting but I think the so-called ‘experts’ are plodding in their deductions and most of us here have a much better grasp of the boys’ psyches. 😉
Columbine: City of Fear
The Thirteen Families – spends time with the victims and victims families. Very well done. Have tissue handy.
Ambassador of Kindness.
The background music and telling of this doc comes across hokey but I found it to be one of the better docs on Rachel Scott and without religious propaganda inserted into it at every turn. It’s a play-by-play of her journal quotes leading up the event which are uncannily prophetic suggesting that Rachel somehow intuited that she wouldn’t live long and that her purpose was meant for something greater. The doc suggests that Columbine was very much a spiritual happening not one of any religious denomination’s claim. In depth interview segments of Nick Baumgart and Brooks Brown regarding Rachel.
I’ll add more to this post if I can think of anything else…
Dylan wrote that it was to be played over the “My Thoughtz” section of his webpage where he would blog about:
“Everything you wanna tell about religion, philo, etc.”
The section he chose this song for is linked to his personal thoughts.

WATCH The Doom Generation
Synopsis:
Jordan White and Amy Blue, two troubled teens, pick up an adolescent drifter, Xavier Red. Together, the threesome embark on a sex and violence-filled journey through an America of psychos and quickiemarts.
The Doom Generation is kind of a teen take of Natural Born Killers written and directed by Gregg Araki a dude that made a few cynical, grunge youth nineties flicks. Dylan wanted the soundtrack for this one as well as Araki’s flick “Nowhere’. We can probably assume that he liked the style of these two movies as well as the musical groups selected for them.
The lovey-dovey, doom and gloom emo character Jordan White is amusingly played by James Duval and reminds me just a bit, in a lolzy exaggerated sort of way, of how devoted and love besotted Dyl might have become had he landed his true lady love. Jordan lays in bed at night with his sarcastic, apathetic Amy spinning creative fantasies of how the two could go out together in a blaze of glory in a romantically poetic joint suicide. Amy, played by the always awesome 90′s ‘It’ gal Rose McGowan, mostly treats Jordan like crap yet he’s content to stay faithful and put her needs before his own. Brings to mind Dyl’s acquiescing mindset: “My happiness, her happiness, NOTHING else matters.” 😉

Actually, think Eric had a tad bit of buck teeth going on there. 😉
Who cares.

Answered here.
Possibly, yes. Though, I’d say Kinsey 1 is not an uncommon state of many high school age students where they’re still trying to figure out their sexual identity and what their preferences are. Actually, Kinsey 1 is probably pretty common period. In Dylan’s case, he had no intimate or sexual experience, that we know of, and for a guy at seventeen just about to finish high school, it probably caused him much angst, apprehension and wondering about himself. It’s like, if he didn’t acquire a girlfriend in all of his high school years as many of his male friends did, would that automatically mean that by default, girls were not his natural inclination? Dylan saw himself mainly with guy friends and he had a close bond with two male friends. He wasn’t attracted to the girl who was his friend (Robyn) and never managed an actual girlfriend so he may have been in that confused, twilight place of thinking ‘wow, maybe I’m bisexual or gay’. And with no experience,to validate his attractions, he could only wonder at himself until it might have become a giant, looming question mark. Of course, this is just speculation here based on the rumor/claim that Brooks supposedly brought forth.
Nate married in 2014, and he and his wife Julia had a baby boy just recently.:) One would hope that he’s come to terms and buried the hatchet with his mom especially given all the good fortune in his life recently.
Actually, I do have this sense that he’d have good cooking skills, like intuitive kinda messing around in the kitchen with breakfasts, after he’d gotten up early at noon on the weekend. lol I just kinda see him messing around making his favorite kind of omelettes or crepes or making ginormous pancakes. And oh yeah, gotta have the exasperated Dyl “ARRggghh” sounds he’d make if he had the heat up too high and over cooked something or swearing over the burnt toast. lol But actually I feel like he would’ve been creative as heck in the kitchen – when in the right mood and not grumpy. If he was quiet in the am, it’d be a way for him to focus and wake up by himself.
That was answered before here. One thing to always keep in mind about Brooks is that he has a habit of distorting events based on his preferred reality. As we know, Eric was irritated that Brooks had a habit of skewing the truth and lying about shit. Brooks even had a reputation in school for embellishing. This isn’t just me (or Eric lol) saying this, quite a few witnesses volunteered this about his character in the 11K – that he couldn’t be trusted or said that he was a prima donna, etc. I’m not suggesting there’d be anything wrong if Dylan actually said he was bisexual but coming from Brooks’ mouth does not give the claim any weight whatsoever. Maybe? Maybe not. Dylan never said so, Dylan’s other friends never alluded as such and with Brooks, well, you just have to take it with a grain of salt.
Nah, I don’t think Eric would’ve done NBK without Dylan. It would’ve thrown a monkey wrench in their plan and messed everything up. Both of them as a union had guts and they reinforced one another. Eric truly believed it was a ‘two man war against everyone else’. They were a team against humanity and he needed Dylan as part of that cause. Eric would probably have a lot of conflicted feelings about V finally finding that one girl that was there for him, and that the dude finally found someone that would love him. A part of Eric would understand and respect that because he wanted that for himself too and worked so damn hard to get a girl but never could – but at the same time, he’d be resentful and envious of it. It would jack his jaws that his friend was no longer there for him like he once was and on the same ‘wave length’ if you will. Their shared inside jokes and the thrill of that perverse secret just between the two of them, would suddenly only be his and his alone Yes, it would’ve stung like hell that his best friend was no longer on his side to follow through on their plan of vengeance against the school. Eric would be stewing about it. I think he’d contemplate doing NBK alone but somehow I think his heart would’ve been out of it with no Dylan. The whole thing would all just fizzle – it would have been that way for either of the two had they found a girlfriend. I don’t think he’d ever hurt Dylan because that guy was the only true friend he had in that entire school and Littleton, too, for that matter.
They’d be right there cowering under those tables along with

The bullying was a considerable factor in slowly changing and eroding their attitudes. It lowered their sense of self worth while simultaneously, raised their anger which they mostly supressed. The bullying cannot be dismissed, minimized or discounted; it played an integral part in why they did what they’d done. Yes, if the two had not dealt with bullying, thing would’ve been vastly different.
