Analysis of Dylan’s Handwriting

FIrst Row: Downhill Baseline: In the word “Chico’s”. Indicates lack of energy. Can indicate suicidal thoughts.

Second Row: Wide Line Spacing: In the word “Groove”. Indicates lack of contact with inner feelings. Indicates feelings of being isolated from others.
Top Left Side: Uphill Baseline: On the words “I am the”. Indicates optimistic outlook. Indicates positive mood. Indicates restlessness and mania.

Middle of Page: Rocker Personal Pronoun I: On the personal pronoun “I”.  A personal printed pronoun “I” indicates shallowness, and unreliability. The writer wants to appear independantly strong, but is actually emotionally unsteady.

Middle of Page: Erratic Middle Zone Size: On the word “time”. Indicates hypersensitivity. Indicates inner conflict and unstable responses. Indicates this person takes on the moods of others ( very common in people with BPD). Indicates criminal behavior and danger.

Down Middle of Page: Weapon-Shaped Letters: All the L’s on the end of each “kill” that is written. Also on all boxes from “kill jiggy” down to “laterz” Indicates unconscious hostile impulses.

Last Row: Unique Structures: On the “D” in “Dylan”. Indicates talent and creativity, or it can indicate Indicates pathological obsessions. Basically the writer is very creative or the writer is crazy. Indicates that the writer can change their thought, opinions, or behavior to serve their own emotional needs.

Other people with this style of handwriting: Albert Einstein, Louisa May Alcott, Ernest Hemingway, Zodiac, Michael Jackson, Ivan the Terrible, and Charles Manson.

I always found his overly gigantic, slashy ’D’ and ‘K’ to be grandeous and wacked. His deep-seated, supressed anger along with the fact that he has his aggressive, arrogant Mars in Leo scream out a demand to be noticed in those two letters in a rampant, demented, The Joker-like way. The rest of his letters are tiny by comparison and bleed in to one another. Chico’s Groove is a Chem Bros font he’s imitating called ‘Dust Mites’. Nice analysis. 🙂

Hello, I have a question What would you do to stop the slaughter ? If you went back in time to April 20, 1999 .I love your blog

everlasting-contrast:

If I time traveled back to 4/20, I’d do my ninja steath best to sneak over to Eric’s house in the very early morning hours and give him a couple of flat tires. His car is parked in the drive so it’d be easy to access. I’d call the Brown’s and likely get their answering machine so I’d leave a message and address Judy Brown telling her I have reason to believe that their would be an attack on her sons’ at Columbine HS and that Eric with the aid of Dylan would be responsible. (I would word it this way because she saw Eric as the major threat.) I would mention that I knew about their prior police reports concerning Eric and to underscore in dead seriousness ‘This is NO joke. Over a dozen at Columbine will die if you do not heed this warning. I would advise Judy and Randy to head over to the Harris’ house and contact the cops and have them stake it out from a distance. Before proceeded to the Klebold’s residence, I would ring the Brown’s doorbell and leave a note for them to check their voice messages asap. I would call the school and leave a message notifying them that there was going to be a serious crime committed at Columbine before noon. I would advise them to check the school computer server entitled “Eric Harris” for the evidence needed. I would then sneak over to Dylan’s and make an attempt to render his tires flat. If I wasn’t able to access his BMW from the garage, I’d lay down road spikes on his drive obscured by leaves. The moment he walked out of his house, gotten into his car and began to zip down the exit of his drive way, he’d realize something was wrong. I would appear to be a driver on the road that noticed his ‘car trouble’. I would get out and walk over to his car to ‘offer him him’ which basically would amount to him being put out of commission with a tranquilizer gun. I would leave a note pinned on him for his parents to find as his mother was on her way to work. I would head over to the school and ask to speak to DeAngelis. Well, something approximately along those lines…

You can tell I’ve thought about this just a wee bit, huh? 😏

Okay, okay, I like this, but just a couple comments:
– there’s actually no tranquilizer gun that is safe on humans, and what goes into it even for animals is controlled substances that you might not be able to get. Basically there’s no way to safely knock a human out that quickly, especially since it’s impossible to know how a particular drug affects someone.
– that call sounds SUPER menacing….
– go double or nothing and pour sugar in the gas tank too
– you should grab a gun JUST IN CASE. If worse comes to worse, you gotta take at least Eric out before the shooting starts…

Ok, sure. Technicalities, technicalities.. The other option would be the use of a taser or stun baton applied with a very determined yet contrite “I’m sorry, Dylan, this is going to hurt me more than it’s going to hurt you.”  Though, hmm.. given that I’d have the ability to actually time travel in the year 2015 anything is possible, no? 😉  I could just allude a threat with the gesture of a gun, signal him into my car and then time travel us back to the future with my Delorean Prius. I’ll worry about the reconfigured future later. Ha! Sugar in the gas tank or banana up the exhausted pipe, even. Duly noted. Oh hey now, taking out either of these two knuckleheads is not the objective – but saving them from themselves is.. and with minimal interference if at all possible.

Did Dylan ever cry over his loneliness?

Given that Dylan was known to have cried tears of frustration when he was asked to sit out during a game of baseball or merely for his team losing while in Jr. High, he absolutely cried over his loneliness too. It’s just that as he grew older, he learned to better conceal the tears while by himself, late at night, behind the closed door of his ‘insane asylum’ like bedroom.

Disgusting Dylan fan girl.

You people are in denial. I don’t give a crap how much Columbine information you have. This is clearly a sneaky way to fangirl all over Dylan Klebold…who by the way darling was a murderer. Just remember that. Same with “Ericharrisblog”. You really think that’s not fangirling? You’re nuts. You have quotes from these murderers, and you’re going to tell me you’re not a fangirl? You obviously are. Seek help, goddamn it.

Cowardly anon (from Dumont, New Jersey) – who seems to keep coming back here for more – does this then, in turn, make you a disgusting, compulsive fan of this blog? Clearly, it does. 😏

if you could have spent a day with Dyl how would you have spent it?

I’d take him up to the mountains so we could hang out in the halcyon that is nature and let the discussion ebb and flow at his pace. Followed by a Chemical Bros concert in the evening ending (starting?) with a late night drive somewhere within a distant part of his wildnerness neighborhood that no one knows about. Stretching out on the top of a canyon plateau, gazing up at the stars with equal moments of confidance and comfortable silence between us.

Yeah I guess I did but do you know where he left the sunglasses since they weren’t in his pile of stuff with his earring and necklace and everything

Strangely, the record of property items returned to Dylan’s dad do not include Dylan’s shades, specifically, the list of items returned from his body to the Klebold’s in 2003 do not mention his shades. There was a pair of sunglasses [#6017] found in Dylan’s car but they were not his trademark shades but instead, Bollé sports sunglasses.  If Dylan removed his shades during the massacre he could’ve done one of two things: pocketed them in his trench coat or jettisoned them on the school grounds. However, if they were in his trench, they would have been accounted for as personal belongings returned to Tom Klebold.  If they were located on the school grounds you would think they would’ve been linked to him but this does not appear to be the case.. None of Dylan’s personal affects that he put in a pile were listed as having been returned to the Klebolds only noted as being found when they removed his body – which is interesting that Jeffco would omit recording and releasing such items of personal importance to his parents..

I can’t see Dylan doing it but maybe Eric sexually assaulting one of the girls before they committed suicide. Do you think this was ever on their minds.

Certainly not and for neither.  Murder was much easier and impersonal compared to sexually molesting girls. They were not even comfortable with being assertive with chicks romantically let alone taking charge and raping them. Murder was one thing but they had their limits; I guess you could say they were virginal, timid, ‘gentleman’ murderers. 😉  More importantly, there wasn’t time for such things. They knew the authorities would be on the way by a certain time so getting caught literally with their pants down was not even a option (and how mortifying would that be if they either couldn’t get it up or got caught by the cops in the act of attempted rape?)   Remember: the original plan was that they would blow up the cafeteria and whoever managed to escape would be shot by them. Assaulting the entire school was what they were aiming for not petty sexual assault which would side track them and delay their ultimate goal and message to the world.

Why do people think Eric wouldn’t kill himself if it wasn’t for Dylan’s sake?

Probably assumed because Eric never wrote about entertaining the idea of suicide. His writes himself in his manifesto as feisty, spirited and itching to kill others.  That’s not to say he didn’t have the guts to commit the act himself it’s just that Dylan made it more permissible because they were both on board to see it through to the end.  The interesting irony is that Eric committed suicide very much as if he were alone in his own private hell. He acted quickly and unflinchingly is if he were putting himself down like a dog and I think it even caught Dylan off guard. I don’t think Dylan anticipated he would be the last man standing to pull the trigger. However.. he wasn’t far behind.

Really Eric? “Bros before hoes”. How awkward would THAT have felt? “Oh I like you Dylan, but you’re a little awkward after a date. I’m going to go out with your best friend”. I mean WTF. Why didn’t anyone raise an eyebrow? As a guy myself I probably secretly would have been pissed that my “best friend” stole my girl.

Eric didn’t steal Dylan’s girl though.  Sasha was not Dylan’s girlfriend and he didn’t consider her as such either.  They went on a simple date, likely a group date, probably a bowling night out or something casual like that. They went out twice (so she claims) and it didn’t work for her nor Dylan as he mentions:

Dylan’s journal entry October ‘97

“Possible girlfriends are coming then [redacted] (Sasha is likely whom he is referring to here) .. I’ll give the phony shit up in a second. want TRUE love…. I just want something i can never have….true love.”

Sasha then moved on and tried Eric on for size, again, this was probably a group date thing for their first date.  I would imagine Eric would’ve mentioned to Dylan the fact that Sasha was interested in going out with him.  Dylan was likely not fussed and probably glad to be rid of the ‘phony shit’, if we can deduce that is who he is describing as ‘redacted’ in his entry above was Sasha. The time frame coincides perfectly.

Please could you to explain HOW Dyl`s TEC-9 was in his right hand)

The grip of the TEC-9 is under the fingers of his right hand- NOT in his grip. In other words, his fingers are resting OVER the grip and not AROUND the grip.

See dissection of Dylan’s death below.

Did Dylan Klebold commit suicide?

In my opinion, the bullet that killed Dylan was fired from the TEC-9. I base this on a few things. First, the bullet that killed Dylan was consistent with 9mm ammunition. None of his blood was found on or around the barrel of the only other 9mm weapon – the Hi-Point 9mm rifle. Most importantly, 1.5″ of Dylan’s blood (drawback) was found in the barrel of the TEC-9.

Dylan’s death is one of the most controversial topics concerning Columbine. The National Enquirer published two photographs of Eric and Dylan’s bodies in the library in May of 2002. The position of the bodies matches the sketches that were released beforehand of the crime scene in the library. The Enquirer published an article written by Dr. Lawrence Kobilinsky, who analyzed the photos and came to the conclusion that Eric could have shot Dylan. The photos supposedly -proved- this theory; however, Dr. Lawrence Kobilinsky is not an expert in Crime Scene Investigation. His analysis is beyond his expertise. Kobilinsky made a huge mistake — a mistake that he knew he could get away with. Who would question him? He’s an expert. Right? What Kobilinsky did was provide an analysis of the scene using only two incompetent photographs. Analyzing a crime scene and making such a bold statement based solely on incompetent photographs is completely unprofessional.

Kobilinsky asserts that Eric Harris could have killed Dylan Klebold based on the position of Dylan Klebold’s body. But what he’s really saying is that it’s possible Dylan Klebold did not kill himself. He then jumps to the conclusion that Eric Harris must have killed him, and that is what he states as though it were fact. He shows absolutely no evidence in favor of his theory nor does he reference DNA reports or other official documents, and most of the documents he would have needed to reference did not become available to the public until after the article was written. He is in no way an authority in the position to analyze the crime scene. His credentials lie in Forensic DNA Analysis AKA “DNA Profiling.” He works in a lab, not on the scene.

“My research interests concern the use of state-of-the-art technology to identify individuals from physiological fluids and tissues, and to associate biological crime scene evidence with a suspect.”

The photos, as incompetent as they are, in combination with the sketches and other evidence actually prove the opposite of what Kobilinsky claims — but to the untrained eye it seems like truth — until you take a closer look.

Most people have read Dylan’s autopsy report hoping to answer the question of whether it was suicide or murder, and have relied on those three little words at the end of the summary detailing his wounds, “Consistent With Suicide.”

“Consistent with suicide” is a term used by the coroner (or medical doctor) to describe a wound that is consistent with that of a suicide. If there is no reason to suspect murder, and evidence points toward suicide, and the wound itself doesn’t indicate murder – it will be ruled a suicide. A gunshot wound that is the result of a suicide can look identical to one that was the result of murder. The only way to determine the cause is to analyze the crime scene itself. It is possible that Dylan did not kill himself, but it also possible he did. There are, however, some very big questions that come into play regarding his death.

Dylan’s wound was a through and through close contact wound, also known as a perforating gunshot wound, which means that the projectile entered and exited his body leaving what are known as ‘entry’ and ‘exit’ wounds. The angle of his wound seems questionable as a suicide given the length of his gun and the fact that he would have to achieve that angle using his right (non dominant) hand to reach around his whole head. “The projectile traveled left to right slightly front to back and slightly downward.”

Just A Little Information on Weapons and Wounds

The barrels of Rifles and Handguns are ‘rifled,’ which means that there are sprial-shaped grooves that are cut the length of the ‘bore’ (interior) of the barrel. The ‘lands’ consists of the raised metal between those grooves. Calibre is measured from land to land.

If a rifled weapon is discharged, marks on the bullet are made as it passes down the barrel. Some of these marks will have ‘class characteristics’ that indicate the make and model of the firearm. Others will have ‘individual characteristics’ that may reflect imperfections specific to a particular firearm which may specifically identify the weapon.

CLOSE CONTACT
Muzzle is a very short distance from skin. It is a gray zone between CONTACT and CLOSE RANGE.

CONTACT
Muzzle is in contact with the body OR a short distance of a few centimetres from the body

CLOSE RANGE
Muzzle to target distance: Arms Length (3 feet)

Dylan’s CLOSE CONTACT wound was between a few centimeters and a few feet from his head. Information relating to the fatal gunshot wound

“The wound of entrance is designated wound “A” in the region of the left temple. The projectile penetrated the cranium through the left temporal bone; exiting the head through the right temporal bone. The perforated area on the left side is beveled inward, the perforated area on the right side is beveled outward. Powder is associated with the wound on the left side of the head.”

“The projectile traveled left to right slightly front to back and slightly downward.”

“The characteristics of the wound are consistent with a large caliber weapon; with a close contact range of fire.” “The wound is consistent with 9 mm ammunition.”

“Sections are of skin revealing a central deeply penetrating wound associated with a few scattered fragments of powder residue in the deeper margins of the wound.”

We cannot assume that the photos we see are of a scene that has not been tampered with.

We cannot assume that the photos we see are of a scene that has been tampered with.

We cannot assume that Dylan shot himself, but we also cannot assume that it was murder.

The grip of the TEC-9 is under the fingers of his right hand- NOT in his grip. In other words, his fingers are resting OVER the grip and not AROUND the grip.

The bullet that caused Dylan’s death was not recovered in full and was never traced to a specific gun, so we cannot assume that the fatal bullet came from the TEC-9. However, there was an inch and a half of drawback in the TEC-9 that matched Dylan’s DNA.

We also can’t assume that they both committed suicide after counting to three because it was printed in the paper. The teacher quoted as hearing them count to three says she never said that and never even had an interview with that particular paper that printed her quote.

The main reason people believe Eric killed Dylan is because of the position Dylan is in, in the Enquirer photos. But in those photos, Dylan’s body has been moved. Not necessarily tampered with, as it is entirely possible he rolled over on his own. When he died, Dylan landed face first on Eric’s knee. The photos and other evidence detailed in the crime scene reports prove this. If Dylan landed on Eric’s knee, Eric could not have killed him.

In the photos provided by the Enquirer, it appears that Dylan’s body has been pushed backwards. The indications of this are:
– The blood smears on his forehead and the blood flows on his face
– The blood spatter on Eric’s knee
– The amount of blood on Eric’s knee vs. Under Dylan’s head
– The bloodstain on Dylan’s left arm
– The bloodstain on Dylan’s right bicep
– The position of Dylan’s knees

If you look at the right side of Dylan’s head, you can see that the blood has been smeared on the side of his face above his cheek bone, and on his forehead. That is where his head landed on Eric’s knee. If you were to push Dylan over on top of Eric’s knee, his head would not directly rest on Eric’s knee because the distance from his head to Eric’s knee is about a foot and a half. This indicates that Dylan was pushed over with force, most likely kicked.

“…some of the blood flows on the face were also formed with the head in a position other than as found. These flows were consistent with KLEBOLD’s head resting on the right side of the face to allow the blood flow on the left side out of the wound.” – Dylan’s autopsy report

This means that Dylan was resting on the right side of his face long enough to allow the blood to flow from his exit wound… albeit not long enough for a large pool to form.

If you look at Dylan’s exit wound and then the darker spot on Eric’s knee, you will see that if you were to push Dylan onto Eric with a little force, those spots would be touching perfectly. The majority of the forward spatter is on top of Eric’s pants, and not the side. This indicates that the point at which the bullet exited Dylan’s head was directly above Eric’s knee. When dealing with gunshot wounds, the exiting projectile is accompanied by brain, tissue, and bone. If you look just to the left of Eric’s knee, you will see what could be Dylan’s brain matter on the carpet.

As stated above, Dylan was resting on his side long enough to allow the blood to flow from his exit wound… and since the larger pool is under his head where he was found, this indicates that he was not on Eric’s knee for very long.

“There was a bloodstain area on the back of his left arm above the elbow that was not consistent with being formed with the arm in the position found.” – Dylan’s autopsy report

The bloodstain area on his left arm does not appear to be spatter… which would mean it did not come directly from any gunshot wound. It appears as through it came from the toe of a shoe. There is a bloodstain on the carpet to the photograph’s left that is quite possibly the source for the blood that was on the toe that came in contact with Dylan’s left arm.

“There were blood stains on his right bicep and left center portion of his neck.” -Dylan’s autopsy report Look at Dylan’s right bicep. There is a spot of blood that appears to have been slightly smeared. Next, look at the toe of Eric’s left boot. There is a small blood smear that extends from the top of Eric’s boot to the bottom. If you were to push Dylan over towards Eric, the blood smear on his right bicep would come directly in contact with the smear on Eric’s boot.

Look at Dylan’s legs. His left leg is extended over his right leg, and his knees are bent in such a way that would be consistent with his body moving backwards. If you were to push Dylan from behind back to Eric’s knee, he would end up in an almost-kneeling position, his TEC9 would be in his right hand, but at his side, not under his leg. His right bicep would rest on the toe of Eric’s left boot, and the Carbine would be just about between his knees.

DNA Information

Draw-Back is the term used to describe the presence of blood in the barrel of a gun. Not all suicides or murders create draw-back. There was no blood in the barrel of either shotgun, nor the Carbine. There was, however, blood present on the front of the barrel and the muzzle of Eric’s shotgun. As for the Tec-9, there was a considerable amount of draw-back present.

DNA ANALYSIS

  • CBI Item #20A-20F Bloodstains from shotgun (Savage Pump Action).
  • CBI Item #21A-21D Bloodstains from Carbine.
  • CBI Item #22A-22B Bloodstains from Shotgun (Double Barrel).
  • CBI Item #23A-23C Bloodstains from TEC 9 Pistol.

Results:

Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) was analyzed by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technology at the following LOCI: DQA1, LDLR, GYPA, HBGG, D7S8, GC, and D1S80.

The DNA profiles developed from Items #20A-20F, 21A-21D and 22A matched each other.

The DNA profiles developed from Items #23A and 23C matched each other.

The DNA profile form item #23B revealed the presence of a mixture. The major component of the DNA profile from Item #23B matched the DNA profiles developed from Items #20A-20F, 21A-21D and 22A. The minor component of the DNA profile from Item #23B was consistent with the DNA profiles from Items #23A and 23C.

PP. 79-80 of the .pdf file for CBI reports doesnt say what the areas 23A, 23B and 23C are. But they are detailed on page 14 in the serology report.

– 23A= End of barrel
– 23B= Trigger area
_- 23C= Inside barre_l

– 23A and 23C are consistent with Dylans DNA
– 23B has a mixture of Eric and Dylan’s DNA

This means that Out of all the blood found on the Tec-9 pistol, Eric’s was only found on the trigger area. We can’t assume this means Eric fired the gun. Eric had a bloody nose earlier when he shot Cassie, and his shotgun kicked him in the nose. It is very possible that since he was laughing and joking about it, Dylan might have pushed him a bit and wiped the blood from his nose, transfering it to the trigger of the Tec-9 pistol. It’s possible. There is just no solid evidence to prove how Eric’s blood got on the trigger area.

Did you know?

_For a long time it was believed that Dylan’s Tec-9 was found with a live round in the chamber but no magazine attached. This would have meant that the magazine was removed after the last shot was fired. The truth is that the Tec-9 was found with a loaded magazine. I contributed to this misconception when I published that information on this website so many years ago when I overlooked that fact. That was the only reason to really question Dylan’s death. Now that we know his gun was found with a loaded magazine there is no reason to suspect Dylan’s death was anything but suicide.
