Yes, the Ever-lasting contrast. Since existence has known, the 'fight' between good & evil has continued. Obviously, this fight can never end. Good things turn bad, bad things become good. My fav. contrasting symbol, because it is so true & means so much – the battle between good & bad never ends… Here we ponder on the tragedy of Dylan Klebold.
Well, I highly doubt he went to some girly place like Claire’s with Robyn or Zach, let alone Eric, to get his ear pierced. 😏 Unless Hot Topic does..did that type of thing back in the 90s. Maybe even a Tattoo/piercing place near Denver . I could see those being a more respectible sort of establishment for a dude to feel comfortable getting their ear stapled and pierced instantly.
Zach, like Dyl, also had a pierced left ear. I think there is a possibility that the two got properly drunk and wasted and pierced one another’s ears – using some alcohol for sterilization. Of course, it’s possible too that Dyl attempted to needle his ear while a bit drunk. It would certainly have the same sort of pain/endorphine releasing sensations as the self harming he’d done occasioinal with his knives. Though, I think it’s much easier to pierce your ear with the help of someone else to guide it in the exact, centered spot..at lease in my experience, that is. This is speculation here. It’s possible Dyl did go somewhere to get his ear pierced professional – it’s just that my sense about it is no. Somehow, doing it the long, painfully masochistic way seem more like something he would earn for his triple barred cross..

Just kidding..
sort of. 😏
This post will be deleted in a couple of days. Why, you ask? This blog belongs to the the tall, lanky dude, with the blonde pony tail and oval shades, that’s why.
Yes, essentially, all true. Except, Robyn did, infact, invite Eric to her party March 26, 1999. He attended along with 10-15 other people without his best bud Dylan who was in Arizona at the time, checking out the university with his parents and Nate Dykeman. She also bought Eric a t-shirt for a belated birthday present and had planned to give it to him on 4/20. As we all know, that never happened..

VoDkA was funky, ya dig? Think Rebby turned a blind eye to Dyl’s personal music tastes? 😉 Can you imagine Eric reading the back of his t-shirt and oh geez, that expression? lol
In a sense, yes. Dylan’s suppressed, internalized anger got swallowed up and and transformed into deep sadness. So, ultimately his depression would’ve contributed to the rapid weight loss. His appetite is the interesting part because apparently, he was known to have a ‘legendary appetite’. Peers also noticed him being sometimes super quiet and low key and at other times hyper active. I think these are clues to be taken in account as well and I address them in the second link below.
Posts concerning Dylan’s rapid weight lost are here and here.
The inverted Trident – answered here. I haven’t fully sussed the symbol out completely yet. Still working on that. That post will be updated if/when I’ve hit the mark. 🙂 Of course, the other possibility here is that it’s simply a super sekhret symbol Dylan made up for Eric to follow along.
The shape is just too undeniably perfect! Yes, there is a Trident in Doom – however, Dyl’s affinity for his ‘DB’ double barrel in connection with their joint love for Doom, makes this the perfect wink!wink!nudge!nudge ‘continue where you see this’ ID symbol for VoDkA to use in REB’s yearbook.
As Brooks Brown mentions here in an excerpt from “No Easy Answers”, the boys did hang out in the library quite frequently as newbie Freshman. But I think that by Sophomore year they probably had begun to hang out there less often. They had begun to feel more familiar with the skewed way their school operated with it’s dysfunctional favoritism towards and against certain groups of students. I’d surmise the library was now less appealing to congregate in because they’d gotten the message that they didn’t belong there in a place of quiet with the Columbine ‘approved’ students. That’s not to say they didn’t at all choose to study there once and a while, it’s just that it was no longer the desired space it once was in their naive freshman year. They could also hang in the computer lab and be louder than in the library. When there was free time, better to sit at their self designated tables in the Commons with their friends in the TCM or under it’s staircase or outside, at the smokers pit or to sit in (or on) their cars. Being outside their despised school was probably the most preferable place to be.
Btw, Nick Baumgart, as mentioned above by Brooks, is part of the jury members for the James Holmes Aurora Theater shootings trial taking place presently..
More like 9th to 10th grade. His first issued drivers license is dated October ‘97 and it states 6’3. He was already towering in height his Junior year. 🙂
Power to them? Though I think that often when someone works overtime to make numerous announcements and goes into flaunting detail, they are perhaps trying just a bit too hard to convince an audience of such experiences to validate themselves as legit? I will say this much though: delving into Columbine research can be a very intense profound experience and it does not surprise me in the least that many have fallen down the proverbial ‘Rabbit Hole’ that is Columbine. People often begin to start relaying intense dreams about the boys or have begun to deeply feel they have awakened an emotional upheaval within their being of which they don’t yet fully understand, or perhaps established a spiritually connected link with either of the two in a variety of ways: being guided through writing or drawing, experiencing lucid dreams and even astral travel as an examples. Though, why should you let another person’s sense of reality or personal experience ‘bother you’? What matters is your own journey, perceptions and experience while delving into Columbine. How do you feel about the boys? How do you feel about the victims? Do you feel an intense gravitational pull? How has this event touched your life and what matters to you and hits home and resonates deeply for you in a transformative way? Becoming spiritually attuned or psychically more open, even – is not an exclusivity club. Becoming more spiritually and energetically open or developing your innate psychic skills are possible if you choose to practice and develop those latent abilities within you. It’s entirely up to you how what path you choose to take in regards to Columbine and in relation to the boys. It truly is all about self awareness, after all (!) and how this spiritual event that is/was Columbine connects directly back to you. 😉 Plunging into the minds of those two boys is often the key to the beginning of that awakening journey.. It can be harrowing and intense but also deeply positive and altering in such a way that creates a ‘new’ sense of yourself.

There are several posts on Dylan’s possible potential ‘loves’ that he may have been referring to at certain points in time in his journal.
I’d suggest poking around on my blog for: Marla Foust, Kristen Theibault, Sasha Jacobs and Erin Boortz. Fastest way is to Google “Everlasting Contrast” along with the name of the girl I mentioned to pull up those posts. 🙂
We don’t really have any documentation that mentions for certain as to when Dyl began his affinity with the Boston Red Sox team and began to wear the “B” ball cap. Dylan played Little League as a kid, and apparently played very hard and competitively to win and when his team didn’t or he had to sit out, he was crushed. This demonstrates his extreme love and passion for the sport and being dedicated to his team winning as if the weight of it depended solely upon himself. I would imagine he would’ve begun to start collecting Baseball cards at a certain point in Elementary school and resonating with certain players while watching them on tv or going to a game with his dad. So, I’m going to say he probably got his first official Boston Red Sox ball cap in his latter Elementary school years and wore that ‘first’ hat through middle school until it was ratty and tattered. Rather than chuck the entire hat and get a new one, his insisted tradition and solution seemed to become him selecting a new replacement hat (with another team he liked) and having mom sew the “B” on the ‘back’ of the new hat. The “B” itself was the totem, his lucky piece, you could say? It reminded him of personal ‘happy time’ past memories. There is a certain sentimentality about Dylan in regards to keeping certain personally significant touchstone items with him throughout his life, on his being, that remind him of a certain something in his past. I go into detail about this
Dylan does wear his signature baseball cap forward in this shot which appears to be circa early middle school years – playing drums in a band with Brooks Brown. At some point in the ‘90s, the anti-fashion became about wearing the ball caps backwards to look more against-the-grain of mainstream style.
I think he likely shot up in height quite noticeably between his Freshman to Sophomore years. My guess.
Jeffco’s reasoning is that unlike Dylan and Eric’s journals, the Basement Tapes are considered an inspiring, rousing ‘Call to Arms’ to troubled youth that feel the same way as them. Dylan and Eric are recruiting them by looking directly in the camera and talking to their intended audience sort of like Uncle Sam recruiting an impassioned ‘We want YOU to join us and follow in our footsteps!’
Short answer is that Jeffco is, as you say, is essentially, well, stupid. Other shooters ‘mini’ Basement Tapes have been released and even published on youtube or shown on tv. The shooter, Alvaro Castillo was fascinated by Columbine and Eric Harris and wanted (and did attempt) to follow in the boys’ footsteps regardless of the Basement Tapes being released. Quite a few of his tapes which were broadcast in his trial were all released on youtube. We also have bits of Cho Seung-Hui’s tapes and Elliot Rodger’s last ‘Retribution’ video. All released, all stating their cause and could also be considered a ‘Call to Arms’ to any troubled youth surfing Youtube. If you consider them so-called ‘copycats’ of E & D, then they were inspired and took action, again, regardless of whether Eric and Dylan’s Basement Tapes were released. And who is to say that Elliot Rodger wasn’t inspired by Cho Seung-Hui or all the other tapes freely released before? James Holmes barely researched Columbine and did his thing not one iota inspired by any other previous shooters. If you’re watching the trials than you know James Holmes shot up a theater for entirely his own reasons with his own motivations and agenda. The shootings continue regardless of tapes being released or not. The root of the matter has nothing to do with any shooters Basement Tapes. (Why does Jeffco give E & D celebrity by making their BTs so deniably attractive?) As long as source of the problem is brushed under the carpet and not addressed, the shootings will continue.
The fact that Jeffco chose not to release the Basement Tapes and denied them (supposedly permanently as of this year) from the public has shrouded them deeper in intrigue and mystery. It begs the question: what is so important that they would rather keep the public ignorantly in the dark? They’ve acted like a parent denying it’s citizens the right to view the tapes, to evaluate and judge them for themselves. It’s censorship and it demonstrates that they ultimately do not trust the populace to handle the evidence. Jeffco has built up a fascination about the tapes and they have become a holy grail or forbidden fruit of sorts for youth simply because it’s human nature to want what we’re told we cannot have. Jeffco has made the tapes vastly more potent and attractive than if they had just casually released the tapes along with the journals and all the other Columbine evidence. Release all and let the public decide. And yet, somehow, it’s ok for the violent ISIS terrorist acts or the Boston pressure cooker bombing footage to end up on Youtube. The shootings will continue, and have continued as evidence with Dylann Storm Roof just this past week , regardless of the Basement Tapes release.
“By Dylan’s senior year, he had grown tall and thin. His hair was long and scraggly; under his baseball cap, it stuck out like a clown wig. He’d been accepted at four colleges and had decided to go to the University of Arizona, but he’d never regained his love of learning. He was quiet. He grew irritated when we critiqued his driving, asked him to help around the house, or suggested that he get a haircut. In the last few months of senior year, he was pensive, as if he were thinking about the challenges of growing older.
One day in April I said, “You seem so quiet lately—are you okay?” He said he was “just tired.” Another time I asked if he wanted to talk about going away to college. I told him that if he didn’t feel ready, he could stay home and go to a community college. He said, “I definitely want to go away.” If that was a reference to anything more than leaving home for college, it never occurred to me.” –Sue Klebold
Yeah, I think he could but we’re not talking correct form swimming. We’re talking sloppy freestyle or treading water for a good water fight, wading about tossing ball or hurling a frisbee with friends or naturally, bopping Devon over the head with a giant styrofoam noodle.
