Nope. The ‘90s idea of ‘hi-res’ was nothing like today’s super high quality standards. The technology just wasn’t there yet. Plus the boys’ video footage was probably done on tapes that had been re-recorded over quite a few times before the very last thing they’d recorded on them. The senior yearbook photos are traditionally always the most showcased so therefore, are in color and high quality – whereas, the Freshman to Junior yearbook photos are in grainy black and white. Only their parents would’ve purchased the color, high quality versions of those photos to give to family and friends and to frame.
Do you think Dylan would date a girl who’s 4’9/4’11? I love how he was so tall omg
I think Dylan would’ve been thrilled to date a girl. Period.
Do you know what year the picture of Dylan and Brooks at the birthday party is from? Thank you.
Not for certain but I’d say somewhere around 1989-1990.
I really want Dylan’s sunglasses, but I can’t find them ANYWHERE! Elsa (ericharrisblog) blogged a picture of similar glasses Dylan wore but she never answered on what type they were. I really want them. If not, what about Eric’s? I’m looking for those glasses where you can’t see your eyes, and it is just that bad ass black
Do you know the exact pair of glasses Dylan had? Btw I love your blog!💕
Where can I get sunglasses like dylans
This is where I left off last with this question. Not sure about Eric’s shades – someone else might be able to help out with that question.
He actually cut his hand? I always thought that was a metaphor.
Not sure how you get a metaphor out of Dylan describing how he cut/what he cut onto himself, but ok?
“Are you still with me? Were still gonna do this, right?” Did eric say this to dylan or dylan said this to eric? Right before they started shooting in the library one of them say this to the other

Haha were the same height. Tall girls unite!!!
☝️👍
I love youuu and u have a great blog
Thankss. 😊💕
Did Dylan actually self harm? There doesn’t seem to be any real confirmation.
Dylan mentions self-harm twice in his journal, once just after having having engaged in the activity and another time, while fantasizing a suicide scenario.
“I was Mr. Cutter tonight – I have 11 depressioners on my right hand now, & my favorite contrasting symbol, because it is so true & means so much.”
“If by fate’s choice, [edited] didn’t love me, id slit my wrist & blow up atlanta strapped to my neck.” (Atlanta was the name of one of their pipe bombs)
In Dylan’s autopsy [Page 3] and [ Page 4]:
-It states under “Abdomen: “Present in the right upper quadrant of the abdomen, is a linear, horizontal scar which measures 3” in length.“
-Under “Extremities”: “Present on the anterior aspect of the proximal portion of the right lower extremity are several tiny healing reddish-brown abrasions. There is a cluster of three yellow-brown contusions on the anterior-lateral aspect of the right lower leg, varying in size from ¼” to 1”.
Present on the lateral aspect of the left knee is a cluster of three yellow-brown contusions, varying in size from ¼” to 5/8".
Terms:
-Laceration is tearing of the skin. (Also known as a cut and caused by sharp object)
-Abrasion is superficial, caused by friction, and removes the first few layers of skin. (Rubbing, scraping, scratching)
-Contusion (bruise)
-Punctate (Also known as depressions, punctures, or marks on the skin)
Wait so Dylan was actually unemployed from December ’97 – December ’98, a whole year?! I had no idea. I thought he quit BJ Pizza, and came back a few months later. Where the hell was he getting his cash for bombs if he was only working maybe 3-4 months before 4/20 + only working 10-15 hours a week? That’s insane.

Dylan turned sixteen Sept 11, 1997, the legal working age in Colorado. Eric helps Dylan land the job at Blackjack in either Oct/Nov ‘97 which runs to about Dec ‘97/Jan ‘98-ish. This is taking into account that Dylan said his longest period at one job was three months. Dylan brings a pipe bomb into Blackjack and shows it off with instructions on how to make one. He then gets reprimanded for it. A couple days later, Dylan quits. The pay sucked anyway and ultimately he really wanted a more ‘dream job’ working in computers.
In between this time, he lands a short stint as a courtesy clerk at Albertsons. He quits saying ‘Didn’t want to join the union’ which is a P.C. way of saying he fucking hated doing customer service, lol – and Connie annoyed him.
See here for other jobs Dylan worked in ‘98.
In December of ‘98, Blackjack owner, Bob Kirgis, is in a jam for employees and rehires Dylan back on. This was approximately ten months after, give or take, his first employment there, his second and last time working at Blackjack pizza, Dylan works more hours and is there from Dec ‘98 until April 16, 1999. His wages on his last pay check are $6.50 per hour.
No, Dylan wasn’t make a whole lot of money, folks. Before he was seriously saving for NBK, he was just scrapping by. Above you can see the percentages he’s devoting a measly 10-20 hour paycheck to: Gas money – $40, Insurance (he got his BMW not too long ago and puts a “?” by cost. Maybe the parents were still paying it for him at this point, so he didn’t know how much that was eventually going to cost him.) He mentions ‘Savings” was 50% of the paycheck. Whatever was left over (not a whole hell of a lot) was likely entertainment spending money. Rock n Bowl on the weekend or buying some cds, video games, or renting or going to the movies. I don’t believe serious NBK expenses were set aside at this point. The boys only got serious about NBK right about here actually, with the start of this intake file dated 3/98: after the van theft incident and during the beginning of the Diversion Program which lasted all of ‘98.
Dylan saved when and where he could for NBK which means that Eric probably pretty much contributed to most of the saving during this year. Dylan did odd jobs for his neighbor in June ‘98 and Computer Renaissance in August ‘98. He probably also got some money working the fireworks stand each summer and perhaps, a regular allowance from his parents. By the time Dylan worked Blackjack his second and final time from Dec ‘98 – April ‘99, he really would’ve been putting in a much more concerted, serious effort to stockpile his paycheck for NBK.
It’s no wonder that Dyl moped when his pricey signature shades broke on him? Saving another wad of cash to replace the pair wasn’t in the cards of Fate any longer. Saving for a future of death was far more important than his aesthetic.
did dylan have a job in between the 2 times he worked at blackjack?
Yes. Dylan worked at Albertsons grocery store for about a month, approximately Jan/Feb ‘98.
While sending out his resume and looking for work all spring of ‘98 (even stooping to apply for McDonalds) in June of that year (during summer break after he’d finished his Junior year), he settled on doing some maintenance, landscaping/yard work for a next door neighbor to make some extra cash. (Bryon used to work for these neighbors and helped take care of their horses)
In August ‘98, Dylan worked at Computer Renaissance as a computer technician. This job which was supposed to be his dream job at the time, didn’t last too terribly long.
In December ‘98, Dylan gets rehired by Bob Kirgis of Blackjack Pizza because they are in a pickle for help. He gets a raise and begins working more hours than his first stint with Blackjack. The majority of the NBK finances would’ve been stockpiled during this time.
Who do you think proposed the idea to kill people and blow up columbine high school ? Deep down i truly believe it was Dylan
Tbh, I think they’d both thought it up separately on their own and fairly early on at Columbine. Only difference is, Dylan started his journal far earlier than Eric did, and so obviously Dylan loosely captured the idea first in his journal. But after complaining about how sucky their school was for the umpteenth time, how entitled and stuck-up the jocks and preps were, how brainwashed and proselytizing the christians were plus all the favoritism that went on daily with the teachers and their chosen, special little snowflake students, it really didn’t take much to nudge the both of them to vocalize their ramped up desire to blow up the school and exterminate everyone they despised within it’s walls. I really do not see this as a “it’s all Eric’s idea” or “it’s all Dylan’s idea” blame displacement game. They both thought it and likely arrived at the idea together in the midst of commiserating and brainstorming ideas to blow off steam. It only became an “I’m fucking serious!” thing for them after the January arrest.
I’m a girl and I’m actually 4’11 1/2. You’re exactly a foot taller than me.
Yeah, that happens all the time where I’m a foot taller than most girls. 😎 😙
how long did dylan work at blackjack pizza?
Dylan worked at Blackjack pizza three months the first time approximately starting in Oct – Dec ‘97 – and then quit. He was rehired in Dec ‘98 working close to 5 months until his death. A total of about 8 months altogether. The first time, he worked pretty much part time at 10 hrs per week.
Who in the hell pays 300 dollars for sun glasses? Dylan wtf is wrong with you?
Cause looking bad ass was once the top priority with that splurge on those expensive shades. When Dyl broke ‘em, Rebby said ‘tough, V. NBK is your paycheck priority now. Same as me.’ And Dyl moped for about a week with the black electrical tape crudely holding his beloved shades together. Life was even more fucked than ever.
me is a god, a god of sadness…
Do you know when Dylan started getting bullied at columbine? Cause most records I see of him being bullied are from junior and senior year.
Even though there’s a fair amount of evidence of the bullying that went on in junior and senior year with the boys, I think it’s pretty safe to assume that at a massive, clique-y school like Columbine, quite a few Freshman endured harassment pretty regularly from jocks and upperclassmen. It always seems to start with the newbie kids, those select few that get singled out and picked on for any given reason. It’s unfortunately, the typical initiation or ‘hazing’ that freshman have to endure, and in true ‘the bullied becomes the bully’ toxic school culture fashion, you begin to see Dylan writing about how he ‘tries not to pick on people’ to no avail. He can’t seem to quit the habit; it’s a bad behavior that displaces all the crap he endured and makes himself feel more superior. Later on in his Jr/Sr year, Dylan writes in Eric’s yearbook how he ‘ can’t wait to dub the
new freshmen’ or ‘sitting in the commons dubbing and laughing at fags’. So, I’d say even though we don’t have an entire snapshots of all the Bullying that Dylan ( and Eric) endured previous to Junior year at Columbine, you can extrapolate a pretty good picture of the bullying and harassment having started from the moment those two set foot into Columbine and learning from example as how they learned to adapt and fend for themselves to survive.
do you know if dylan read for pleasure outside of school?
Mm, a bit but not a whole lot. For example, he likely read the Doom series same as Eric for personal pleasure. Required reading assignments were another thing though and he was known to have breezed those. Dyl devoted most of his personal time in his bedroom on the internet and playing computer games, multi-playing, building wads and such and running his fantasy baseball team.
HOLY CRAP!!!you’re tall for a girl. Im guessing youd never date a guy shorter than you, right?
Mm..it depends? but no, it wouldn’t be my initial preference.
Though, never say never.. 😉
How tall are you?
5’11 ½
When did Eric & Dylan start planning NBK? I have always been curious about how it came about…
